PROVRILO MODRO JEZRO U NOCI

Punih pet mjeseci imotsko Modro jezero bilo je bez kapi vode. Dugotrajna suša ostavila ga je suhog od listopada 2011., što do sada nikada nije zabilježeno. I kad su se brojni ljubitelji ovoga prirodnog fenomena pobojali da će ono i dalje biti prazna rupetina, u noći između 25. i 26. veljače aktivirali su se izvori na dnu jezera.

Prvo je voda počela izlaziti iz velike zapadne estavele, koja je još zatrpana snijegom, a potom i sa sjeverne strane. Za samo pet sati voda je već prekrila i najnižu kotu jezera, pa je već u 16 sati vodostaj iznosio oko pola metra. Brojni znatiželjnici pohrlili su na dno jezera, radujući se kao mala djeca. Oko 16 sati voda je počela izlaziti i iz južnih estavela, a pojačao se dotok vode i sa sjevernih padina jezera.

Treba spomenuti da je velik dio presušenoga jezera još uvijek prekriven snježnim nanosima koji su, zbog prašine koju je vjetar donosio sa samoga dna, dobili smeđu boju. Treba zabilježiti i to da je presušeno jezero dočekalo i drugi put u svojoj povijesti prelazak iz jedne u drugu godinu, no nikada nije bilo zabilježeno da je voda provrela krajem veljače, što dovoljno svjedoči o rezultatima nezapamćene suše.

PROVRILO MODRO JEZRO U NOCI

Punih pet mjeseci imotsko Modro jezero bilo je bez kapi vode. Dugotrajna suša ostavila ga je suhog od listopada 2011., što do sada nikada nije zabilježeno. I kad su se brojni ljubitelji ovoga prirodnog fenomena pobojali da će ono i dalje biti prazna rupetina, u noći između 25. i 26. veljače aktivirali su se izvori na dnu jezera.

Prvo je voda počela izlaziti iz velike zapadne estavele, koja je još zatrpana snijegom, a potom i sa sjeverne strane. Za samo pet sati voda je već prekrila i najnižu kotu jezera, pa je već u 16 sati vodostaj iznosio oko pola metra. Brojni znatiželjnici pohrlili su na dno jezera, radujući se kao mala djeca. Oko 16 sati voda je počela izlaziti i iz južnih estavela, a pojačao se dotok vode i sa sjevernih padina jezera.

Treba spomenuti da je velik dio presušenoga jezera još uvijek prekriven snježnim nanosima koji su, zbog prašine koju je vjetar donosio sa samoga dna, dobili smeđu boju. Treba zabilježiti i to da je presušeno jezero dočekalo i drugi put u svojoj povijesti prelazak iz jedne u drugu godinu, no nikada nije bilo zabilježeno da je voda provrela krajem veljače, što dovoljno svjedoči o rezultatima nezapamćene suše.
