Podvodni arheolozi u Sukošanu su pronašli rimski drveni brod iz prvog stoljeća. Na samo dva metra dubine i tek 15 metara od obale, iznad njega su plivali kupači, ni ne sluteći što se skriva pod njihovim nogama. Prekriven je pijeskom, a postoji i legenda da je pun blaga. Naime, prije same olupine su ovdje pronađeni i novčići, točnije njih tridesetak. Izgledaju kao zlatni, ali su bakreni, piše RTL. 

Ali blago je sam brod jer zlata na njemu, na žalost - nema.

Sve je krenulo od jedne daske s čavlima koja je izazvala pozornost podvodnih arheologa iz Zadra. Nadali su se da bi uz tu dasku mogao biti i brod. I bili su u pravu. I to nevjerojatno očuvan.

"Gornji dijelovi koji su blizu morske površine bili su ipak malo oštećeni od strane morskih crva ili životinja koje žive pod morem, ali oni koji su zakopani u pijesku bili su izuzetno dobro sačuvani tako da, nakon čišćenja, drvo izgleda kao da je jučer posječeno i obrađeno", objašnjava Mladen Pesić, ravnatelj Međunarodnog centra za podvodnu arheologiju u Zadru.

"On nema teret u sebi tako da taj brod je potopljen unutar luke, ali nalazi koje nalazimo uokolo njega, ali i u samom brodu dokazuju nam vrijeme kada se luka koristila i nekakav život koji je u to vrijeme vladao na tom području", kazao je Pesić.

Što li je ovaj broj prenosio, tko je na njemu plovio?

"Uzorke drva uzeli smo zato što će se slati na analizu u Marseille u Francusku i na temelju tih uzoraka drva moći ćemo saznati od koje je vrste drva brod građen i imati više informacija o samoj gradnji broda i s kojeg dijela Mediterana je, zapravo, potekao", tvrdi Zdenka Vrgoč, konzervatorica u Međunarodnom centru za podvodnu arheologiju u Zadru.

Istraživanje se nastavlja sljedeće godine, nalazište će do tada biti zaštićeno slojevima pijeska, geotekstila i kamena.

Podvodni arheolozi u Sukošanu su pronašli rimski drveni brod iz prvog stoljeća. Na samo dva metra dubine i tek 15 metara od obale, iznad njega su plivali kupači, ni ne sluteći što se skriva pod njihovim nogama. Prekriven je pijeskom, a postoji i legenda da je pun blaga. Naime, prije same olupine su ovdje pronađeni i novčići, točnije njih tridesetak. Izgledaju kao zlatni, ali su bakreni, piše RTL. 

Ali blago je sam brod jer zlata na njemu, na žalost - nema.

Sve je krenulo od jedne daske s čavlima koja je izazvala pozornost podvodnih arheologa iz Zadra. Nadali su se da bi uz tu dasku mogao biti i brod. I bili su u pravu. I to nevjerojatno očuvan.

"Gornji dijelovi koji su blizu morske površine bili su ipak malo oštećeni od strane morskih crva ili životinja koje žive pod morem, ali oni koji su zakopani u pijesku bili su izuzetno dobro sačuvani tako da, nakon čišćenja, drvo izgleda kao da je jučer posječeno i obrađeno", objašnjava Mladen Pesić, ravnatelj Međunarodnog centra za podvodnu arheologiju u Zadru.

"On nema teret u sebi tako da taj brod je potopljen unutar luke, ali nalazi koje nalazimo uokolo njega, ali i u samom brodu dokazuju nam vrijeme kada se luka koristila i nekakav život koji je u to vrijeme vladao na tom području", kazao je Pesić.

"Uzorke drva uzeli smo zato što će se slati na analizu u Marseille u Francusku i na temelju tih uzoraka drva moći ćemo saznati od koje je vrste drva brod građen i imati više informacija o samoj gradnji broda i s kojeg dijela Mediterana je, zapravo, potekao", tvrdi Zdenka Vrgoč, konzervatorica u Međunarodnom centru za podvodnu arheologiju u Zadru.

Istraživanje se nastavlja sljedeće godine, nalazište će do tada biti zaštićeno slojevima pijeska, geotekstila i kamena.

Podvodni arheolozi u Sukošanu su pronašli rimski drveni brod iz prvog stoljeća. Na samo dva metra dubine i tek 15 metara od obale, iznad njega su plivali kupači, ni ne sluteći što se skriva pod njihovim nogama. Prekriven je pijeskom, a postoji i legenda da je pun blaga. Naime, prije same olupine su ovdje pronađeni i novčići, točnije njih tridesetak. Izgledaju kao zlatni, ali su bakreni, piše RTL. 

Ali blago je sam brod jer zlata na njemu, na žalost - nema.

Sve je krenulo od jedne daske s čavlima koja je izazvala pozornost podvodnih arheologa iz Zadra. Nadali su se da bi uz tu dasku mogao biti i brod. I bili su u pravu. I to nevjerojatno očuvan.
