Izvršni direktor minhenskog Bayerna Karl-Heinz Rummenigge izjavio je u četvrtak da predsjednik UEFA-e Aleksander Čeferin, zbog COVID-a 19, razmatra hoće li Europsko prvenstvo ovog ljeta uprizoriti u jednoj zemlji, a ne u više europskih zemalja kako je planirano.

Turnir koji se trebao održavati u 24 europske države, glavni izvor prihoda za krovnu europsku nogometnu federaciju i nacionalne nogometne saveze, odgođen je za godinu dana zbog pandemije koronavirusa.

Početak prvenstva plasniran je za 11. lipnja i trebalo bi se održavati u 12 gradova diljem Europe, ali Rummenigge ističe da je koncept takvog Eura izmišljen prije pojave koronavirusa.

"Ne smijemo zaboraviti da je ideja o ovom posebnom domaćinstvu turnira nastala kad koronavirus nije postojao ... to je bila inicijativa Europske komisije koja je željela da se nogomet prikazuje po cijeloj Europi", rekao je Rummenigge za njemačke novine Muenchner Merkur / TZ.

"Ali znam da predsjednik UEFA-e Aleksander Čeferin - koji je nevjerojatno pažljiv s koronom - razmišlja o tome ne bi li u ovo doba imalo više smisla igrati turnir u samo jednoj zemlji. To bi se, naravno, organiziralo u skladu s odgovarajućim higijenskim protokolom."

Trenutni gradovi domaćini su Glasgow, Dublin, Bilbao, Amsterdam, Kopenhagen, München, Rim, Sankt Peterburg, Bukurešt, Budimpešta i Baku, dok bi se polufinale i finale trebalo igrati na londonskom stadionu Wembley. Hrvatska je na Euru smještena u skupinu D s Engleskom, Češkom i Škotskom, a svoje bi utakmice trebala igrati u Londonu i Glasgowu.

Očekuje se da će UEFA donijeti odluku o sudbini turnira u ožujku.

Čeferin je prošlog tjedna rekao kako se nada da će programi cijepljenja, koji će se kretati različitim brzinama u raznim zemljama domaćinima, biti ključ za pridržavanje plana.

Europske lige uvele su stroge zdravstvene protokole kako bi se omogućilo odigravanje domaćih sezona, a neke zemlje omogućuju povratak navijača u ograničenom broju.

Izvršni direktor minhenskog Bayerna Karl-Heinz Rummenigge izjavio je u četvrtak da predsjednik UEFA-e Aleksander Čeferin, zbog COVID-a 19, razmatra hoće li Europsko prvenstvo ovog ljeta uprizoriti u jednoj zemlji, a ne u više europskih zemalja kako je planirano.

Turnir koji se trebao održavati u 24 europske države, glavni izvor prihoda za krovnu europsku nogometnu federaciju i nacionalne nogometne saveze, odgođen je za godinu dana zbog pandemije koronavirusa.

Početak prvenstva plasniran je za 11. lipnja i trebalo bi se održavati u 12 gradova diljem Europe, ali Rummenigge ističe da je koncept takvog Eura izmišljen prije pojave koronavirusa.

"Ne smijemo zaboraviti da je ideja o ovom posebnom domaćinstvu turnira nastala kad koronavirus nije postojao ... to je bila inicijativa Europske komisije koja je željela da se nogomet prikazuje po cijeloj Europi", rekao je Rummenigge za njemačke novine Muenchner Merkur / TZ.

"Ali znam da predsjednik UEFA-e Aleksander Čeferin - koji je nevjerojatno pažljiv s koronom - razmišlja o tome ne bi li u ovo doba imalo više smisla igrati turnir u samo jednoj zemlji. To bi se, naravno, organiziralo u skladu s odgovarajućim higijenskim protokolom."

Trenutni gradovi domaćini su Glasgow, Dublin, Bilbao, Amsterdam, Kopenhagen, München, Rim, Sankt Peterburg, Bukurešt, Budimpešta i Baku, dok bi se polufinale i finale trebalo igrati na londonskom stadionu Wembley. Hrvatska je na Euru smještena u skupinu D s Engleskom, Češkom i Škotskom, a svoje bi utakmice trebala igrati u Londonu i Glasgowu.

Očekuje se da će UEFA donijeti odluku o sudbini turnira u ožujku.

Čeferin je prošlog tjedna rekao kako se nada da će programi cijepljenja, koji će se kretati različitim brzinama u raznim zemljama domaćinima, biti ključ za pridržavanje plana.

Europske lige uvele su stroge zdravstvene protokole kako bi se omogućilo odigravanje domaćih sezona, a neke zemlje omogućuju povratak navijača u ograničenom broju.

Rummenigge: UEFA razmatra organizaciju Europskog prvenstva u jednoj državi

Izvršni direktor minhenskog Bayerna Karl-Heinz Rummenigge izjavio je u četvrtak da predsjednik UEFA-e Aleksander Čeferin, zbog COVID-a 19, razmatra hoće li Europsko prvenstvo ovog ljeta uprizoriti u jednoj zemlji, a ne u više europskih zemalja kako je planirano.

Turnir koji se trebao održavati u 24 europske države, glavni izvor prihoda za krovnu europsku nogometnu federaciju i nacionalne nogometne saveze, odgođen je za godinu dana zbog pandemije koronavirusa.

Početak prvenstva plasniran je za 11. lipnja i trebalo bi se održavati u 12 gradova diljem Europe, ali Rummenigge ističe da je koncept takvog Eura izmišljen prije pojave koronavirusa.

"Ne smijemo zaboraviti da je ideja o ovom posebnom domaćinstvu turnira nastala kad koronavirus nije postojao ... to je bila inicijativa Euro...
