Strašne scene vidjeli smo na utakmici Nigerije i Gane u kvalifikacijama za Svjetsko prvenstvo u Kataru, a na tom susretu je preminuo i liječnik zadužen za doping kontrolu Joseph Kabungo. Nigerija je remizirala protiv Gane 1:1 na domaćem terenu i tako ostala bez karte za Katar, a to je izazvalo divljanje navijača i veliki stampedo na stadionu.

U prvoj utakmici je bilo 0:0, a Gana je u drugoj prošla dalje zbog gola u gostima koji još uvijek vrijedi u Africi. U tom trenu, s tribina je na teren utrčalo nekoliko tisuća bijesnih navijača koji su pred sobom rušili što god su stigli. Letjele su stolice, reklamni panoi, potrgane su klupe za rezerve, a napadnuti su i gostujući navijači, prenose Sportske novosti.

Nogometaši su se od huligana spasili bijegom u svlačionice, a policija je uspjela zaustaviti hordu suzavcem. Iako su prve informacije govorile da je liječnik Joseph Kabungo ubijen u neredima, iz Nigerijskog nogometnog saveza javljaju kako je umro od posljedica srčanog udara.

Zambijac je bio zadužen za doping kontrolu, a preminuo je neposredno nakon utakmice. Goal.com prenosi kako je nesretni liječnik pronađen nedaleko od svlačionice u kojoj su bili igrači Gane.

- Jako nas je potresao ovaj tužan događaj. Savez suosjeća sa FIFA-om, Afričkom nogometnom konfederacijom i Nogometnim savezom Zambije, te obitelji doktora Kabunga zbog njegove iznenadne smrti. Ipak, mislimo da je važno prenijeti točne informacije. Naš liječnik, doktor Onimisi Ozi Salami, koji je bio službeni sliječnik na ovoj utakmici je rekao da je doktro Kabungo pronađen pokraj svlačionice Gane gdje je pokušavao doći do zraka - rekao je tajnik nigerijskog saveza Mohamed Sanusi pa dodao:

- Obavijestili su me da bi hitno trebao biti prebačen u bolnicu i to smo odmah i naredili. Nije se uspio izvući. Preminuo je kad je došao do bolnice. Ja sam bio na putu do svlačionice nigerijske reprezentacije kada me pozvao koordinator Kabore Hubert Bosilong iz Južne Afrike. Doktor Kabungo je onda iznenada počeo loviti zrak - ispričao je Sanusi.

Svemu je svjedočio i FIFA-in povjerenik za sigurnost Dixon Adol Okello iz Ugande.

- Pokušali smo ga oživjeti već tamo, ali ništa nije pomgalo. Stavili smo ga u hitnu pomoć i krenuli prema bolnici gdje je preminuo. To je jako tužan inciddent. Svi smo u šoku što neki ljudi izmišljaju da je pretučen od strane navijača. To je laž. Preminuo je zbog iznenadnog srčanog udara - jasan je bio Okello.

Strašne scene vidjeli smo na utakmici Nigerije i Gane u kvalifikacijama za Svjetsko prvenstvo u Kataru, a na tom susretu je preminuo i liječnik zadužen za doping kontrolu Joseph Kabungo. Nigerija je remizirala protiv Gane 1:1 na domaćem terenu i tako ostala bez karte za Katar, a to je izazvalo divljanje navijača i veliki stampedo na stadionu.

U prvoj utakmici je bilo 0:0, a Gana je u drugoj prošla dalje zbog gola u gostima koji još uvijek vrijedi u Africi. U tom trenu, s tribina je na teren utrčalo nekoliko tisuća bijesnih navijača koji su pred sobom rušili što god su stigli. Letjele su stolice, reklamni panoi, potrgane su klupe za rezerve, a napadnuti su i gostujući navijači, prenose Sportske novosti.

Nogometaši su se od huligana spasili bijegom u svlačionice, a policija je uspjela zaustaviti hordu suzavcem. Iako su prve informacije govorile da je liječnik Joseph Kabungo ubijen u neredima, iz Nigerijskog nogometnog saveza javljaju kako je umro od posljedica srčanog udara.

Zambijac je bio zadužen za doping kontrolu, a preminuo je neposredno nakon utakmice. Goal.com prenosi kako je nesretni liječnik pronađen nedaleko od svlačionice u kojoj su bili igrači Gane.

- Jako nas je potresao ovaj tužan događaj. Savez suosjeća sa FIFA-om, Afričkom nogometnom konfederacijom i Nogometnim savezom Zambije, te obitelji doktora Kabunga zbog njegove iznenadne smrti. Ipak, mislimo da je važno prenijeti točne informacije. Naš liječnik, doktor Onimisi Ozi Salami, koji je bio službeni sliječnik na ovoj utakmici je rekao da je doktro Kabungo pronađen pokraj svlačionice Gane gdje je pokušavao doći do zraka - rekao je tajnik nigerijskog saveza Mohamed Sanusi pa dodao:

- Obavijestili su me da bi hitno trebao biti prebačen u bolnicu i to smo odmah i naredili. Nije se uspio izvući. Preminuo je kad je došao do bolnice. Ja sam bio na putu do svlačionice nigerijske reprezentacije kada me pozvao koordinator Kabore Hubert Bosilong iz Južne Afrike. Doktor Kabungo je onda iznenada počeo loviti zrak - ispričao je Sanusi.

Svemu je svjedočio i FIFA-in povjerenik za sigurnost Dixon Adol Okello iz Ugande.

- Pokušali smo ga oživjeti već tamo, ali ništa nije pomgalo. Stavili smo ga u hitnu pomoć i krenuli prema bolnici gdje je preminuo. To je jako tužan inciddent. Svi smo u šoku što neki ljudi izmišljaju da je pretučen od strane navijača. To je laž. Preminuo je zbog iznenadnog srčanog udara - jasan je bio Okello.

Strašne scene vidjeli smo na utakmici Nigerije i Gane u kvalifikacijama za Svjetsko prvenstvo u Kataru, a na tom susretu je preminuo i liječnik zadužen za doping kontrolu Joseph Kabungo. Nigerija je remizirala protiv Gane 1:1 na domaćem terenu i tako ostala bez karte za Katar, a to je izazvalo divljanje navijača i veliki stampedo na stadionu.

U prvoj utakmici je bilo 0:0, a Gana je u drugoj prošla dalje zbog gola u gostima koji još uvijek vrijedi u Africi. U tom trenu, s tribina je na teren utrčalo nekoliko tisuća bijesnih navijača koji su pred sobom rušili što god su stigli. Letjele su stolice, reklamni panoi, potrgane su klupe za rezerve, a napadnuti su i gostujući navijači, prenose Sportske novosti.
