Nakon 15 godina profesionalne karijere, australski košarkaš hrvatskog podrijetla Andrew Bogut (35) razmišlja o odlasku u igračku mirovinu.

Bogut se planirao oprostiti nakon Olimpijskih igara u Tokiju, međutim epidemija koronavirusa i odgoda OI na 2021. dodatnu su mu otežali odluku jer nije siguran može li podnijeti treninge i disciplinu potrebnu za još jednu godinu.

"Ne radim puno, mogu vam to reći", rekao je Bogut za emisiju "Offsiders" australskog ABC-a.

"Nisam igrao otkad je sezona završila, Osjećam se dobro, ali odluku ću donijeti do sredine svibnja," kazao je australski Hrvat koji je zadnje dvije godine igrao za Sydney Kingse.

Bogut je rođen u Melbourneu u obitelji hrvatskih imigranata. Majka Anica je rodom iz Šišljavića, malenog sela pokraj Karlovca, a otac Mišo iz Osijeka. Poznato je da Andrew svake godine nekoliko mjeseci provede na odmoru u Hrvatskoj, a jednom je izjavio kako će u igračkoj mirovini, sigurno živjeti na relaciji Australija - Hrvatska.

Nakon što je dvije godine proveo na sveučilištu Utah, Milwaukee Bucksi su ga 2005. izabrali kao prvi izbor NBA drafta. Sedam godina je proveo u Bucksima, potom je četiri godine nosio dres Golden State Warriorsa s kojima je i osvojio NBA naslov prvaka (2015), a igrao je i za Dallas, Cleveland i LA Lakerse.

S Australijom je bio svjetski juniorski prvak 2003. godine, a prošle godine je odigrao jednu od ključnih uloga u osvajanju četvrtog mjesta "Boomersa" na Svjetskom prvenstvu u Kini.

"Mogu se pripremiti za košarkašku utakmicu bilo koji dan u tjednu, ali teško je ustajati pet, šest dana u tjednu zbog treninga i dizanja utega," dodao je.

Nakon 15 godina profesionalne karijere, australski košarkaš hrvatskog podrijetla Andrew Bogut (35) razmišlja o odlasku u igračku mirovinu.

Bogut se planirao oprostiti nakon Olimpijskih igara u Tokiju, međutim epidemija koronavirusa i odgoda OI na 2021. dodatnu su mu otežali odluku jer nije siguran može li podnijeti treninge i disciplinu potrebnu za još jednu godinu.

"Ne radim puno, mogu vam to reći", rekao je Bogut za emisiju "Offsiders" australskog ABC-a.

"Nisam igrao otkad je sezona završila, Osjećam se dobro, ali odluku ću donijeti do sredine svibnja," kazao je australski Hrvat koji je zadnje dvije godine igrao za Sydney Kingse.

Bogut je rođen u Melbourneu u obitelji hrvatskih imigranata. Majka Anica je rodom iz Šišljavića, malenog sela pokraj Karlovca, a otac Mišo iz Osijeka. Poznato je da Andrew svake godine nekoliko mjeseci provede na odmoru u Hrvatskoj, a jednom je izjavio kako će u igračkoj mirovini, sigurno živjeti na relaciji Australija - Hrvatska.

Nakon što je dvije godine proveo na sveučilištu Utah, Milwaukee Bucksi su ga 2005. izabrali kao prvi izbor NBA drafta. Sedam godina je proveo u Bucksima, potom je četiri godine nosio dres Golden State Warriorsa s kojima je i osvojio NBA naslov prvaka (2015), a igrao je i za Dallas, Cleveland i LA Lakerse.

S Australijom je bio svjetski juniorski prvak 2003. godine, a prošle godine je odigrao jednu od ključnih uloga u osvajanju četvrtog mjesta "Boomersa" na Svjetskom prvenstvu u Kini.

"Mogu se pripremiti za košarkašku utakmicu bilo koji dan u tjednu, ali teško je ustajati pet, šest dana u tjednu zbog treninga i dizanja utega," dodao je.
