Uskrs je, službeno je počela sezona, na Zračnoj luci Ruđer Bošković krenulo se s ljetnim redom letenja, a i u grušku luku očekuju gužvovite dane. Da će s Uskrsom doći kruzeri, to nikoga ne čudi, ali da će se koncem sljedećeg tjedan u gruškom kanalu ukazati ni manje ni više nego najveći kruzer na svijetu – ‘Icon of the Seas‘ - to je već veliko iznenađenje.

Naime, nakon plovidbe tropskim područjima, ‘Icon of the Seas‘ koji inače plovi pod zastavom Bahama, uplovio je ovih dana u Mediteran te se očekuje obilazak svih većih mediteranskih luka. Iako to nije bilo predviđeno, kruzer bi sljedećeg tjedna na svom putu prema Veneciji trebao ‘svratiti‘ i do Dubrovnika. Bit će to jedina hrvatska luka u koju će uploviti ovaj ‘ploveći grad‘. Podsjetimo, kruzer je dugačak 365 metara, ima 20 paluba i može primiti do 7.600 putnika. Vlasnik broda je Royal Caribbean Group, a pokreće ga ukapljeni prirodni plin pa se brod našao na meti kritika ekologa jer to dovodi do velikog ispuštanja metana u zrak.

Kako doznajemo, tog dana će luka u Gružu biti ‘rezervirana‘ samo za njega. Pripreme za dolazak ove ploveće grdosije počinju već od sutra, a zasigurno će sve nadležne službe staviti pred velikim logističkim izazovom - počevši od organizacije iskrcaja silnog broja putnika koji će obići grad, do opskrbe kruzera svim potrebnim. Svakako, taj dan se očekuju pojačane gužve na Pilama, a hoće li se uvoditi posebne regulacije prometa, zasad nije poznato.

Nitko od nadležnih nije htio davati službene izjave niti odgovarati na novinarske upite prije sastanka svih službi koje će koordinirati dolazak. Otkriveno je tek toliko da će se u Dubrovniku prirediti svečanost na kojoj se očekuje dolazak rukovodećih ljudi iz Royal Caribbean Group, kao i predstavnika CLIA-e (Međunarodna organizacija kruzing kompanija), koja će, kako je već poznato, biti savjetnik Gradu Dubrovniku u planiranju novog cruise terminala u luci Gruž.

Na ceremoniji krštenja broda u siječnju ove godine sudjelovao je Lionel Messi, a izgradnja najvećeg kruzera na svijetu "Icon of the Seas" koštala je 2 milijarde dolara. Brod ima sedam bazena, šest vodenih tobogana i više od 40 restorana, barova i salona.

Jedno je već sad sigurno, dolazak "Icon of the Seas" neće proći neopaženo...

Uskrs je, službeno je počela sezona, na Zračnoj luci Ruđer Bošković krenulo se s ljetnim redom letenja, a i u grušku luku očekuju gužvovite dane. Da će s Uskrsom doći kruzeri, to nikoga ne čudi, ali da će se koncem sljedećeg tjedan u gruškom kanalu ukazati ni manje ni više nego najveći kruzer na svijetu – ‘Icon of the Seas‘ - to je već veliko iznenađenje.

Naime, nakon plovidbe tropskim područjima, ‘Icon of the Seas‘ koji inače plovi pod zastavom Bahama, uplovio je ovih dana u Mediteran te se očekuje obilazak svih većih mediteranskih luka. Iako to nije bilo predviđeno, kruzer bi sljedećeg tjedna na svom putu prema Veneciji trebao ‘svratiti‘ i do Dubrovnika. Bit će to jedina hrvatska luka u koju će uploviti ovaj ‘ploveći grad‘. Podsjetimo, kruzer je dugačak 365 metara, ima 20 paluba i može primiti do 7.600 putnika. Vlasnik broda je Royal Caribbean Group, a pokreće ga ukapljeni prirodni plin pa se brod našao na meti kritika ekologa jer to dovodi do velikog ispuštanja metana u zrak.

Kako doznajemo, tog dana će luka u Gružu biti ‘rezervirana‘ samo za njega. Pripreme za dolazak ove ploveće grdosije počinju već od sutra, a zasigurno će sve nadležne službe staviti pred velikim logističkim izazovom - počevši od organizacije iskrcaja silnog broja putnika koji će obići grad, do opskrbe kruzera svim potrebnim. Svakako, taj dan se očekuju pojačane gužve na Pilama, a hoće li se uvoditi posebne regulacije prometa, zasad nije poznato.

Nitko od nadležnih nije htio davati službene izjave niti odgovarati na novinarske upite prije sastanka svih službi koje će koordinirati dolazak. Otkriveno je tek toliko da će se u Dubrovniku prirediti svečanost na kojoj se očekuje dolazak rukovodećih ljudi iz Royal Caribbean Group, kao i predstavnika CLIA-e (Međunarodna organizacija kruzing kompanija), koja će, kako je već poznato, biti savjetnik Gradu Dubrovniku u planiranju novog cruise terminala u luci Gruž.

Na ceremoniji krštenja broda u siječnju ove godine sudjelovao je Lionel Messi, a izgradnja najvećeg kruzera na svijetu "Icon of the Seas" koštala je 2 milijarde dolara. Brod ima sedam bazena, šest vodenih tobogana i više od 40 restorana, barova i salona.

Jedno je već sad sigurno, dolazak "Icon of the Seas" neće proći neopaženo...
