Zamislite društvo bez očeva, bez braka (i razvoda) i gdje ne postoji obitelj. Baka sjedi na čelu stola, njeni sinovi i kćeri žive s njom, zajedno s djecom njihovih kćeri. Muškarci su tek malo više od pastuha, donora sperme i često imaju mali udjel u odgoju svoje djece.

Ovakav feministički poredak postoji u travnatoj dolini u Yunnanu, jugozapadnoj kineskoj provinciji, u dalekom istočnom podnožju Himalaja, piše National Geographic.

Drevna plemenska zajednica tibetanskih budista zove se Mosuo i ona živi na nevjerojatno moderan način: žene su tretirane isto kao i muškarci (ako ne i superiornije), oba spola imaju približno isti broj seksualnih partnera i oslobođeni su osuda.

Djeca u ovom plemenu pripadaju samo majkama, njihovi biološki očevi žive u posebnom matrijarhalnom obiteljskom domu. Iz perspektive autsajdera, Mosuo može biti promatran kao društvo samohranih majki.

Neograničen broj ljubavnika

"Djeca se rađaju izvan braka, što je u Kini još uvijek neobično. Ali članovi naroda Mosuo ne vide stvari na taj način: za njih, brak je nezamisliv koncept i dijete odrasta bez oca jednostavno zbog toga što njihovo društvo ne obraća pažnju na očinstvo. Obitelj postoji, samo u drugoj formi", kaže Choo Waihong, uspješna odvjetnica koja je posjetila ovo pleme prije nekoliko godina.

Svaka obitelj obično se sastoji od 10 ili čak više članova, ali sva imovina je uvijek u rukama žena. Ono što je specifično za ovo pleme jest da prakticiraju jednu vrstu otvorenog, liberalnog braka, gdje je ženama dopušteno da imaju koliko god ljubavnika žele.

Muškarci mogu doći u kuću kod žene kad ona to poželi, provesti noć s njom, ali iz kuće mora otići prije nego što svane. Ukoliko žena ne želi vezu sa svojim dotadašnjim ljubavnikom, simbolično stavlja muške cipele ispred svojih vrata, dajući mu do znanja da je njegovo mjesto zauzeto.

Veze između muškaraca i žena mogu podrazumijevati neobavezne odnose, možda na jednu noć ili redovno viđanje uz produbljivanje emotivnih odnosa koji mogu, ali ne moraju završiti bebom. Parovi nikada ne žive zajedno.

Nebitno očinstvo

Žene posjeduju i nasljeđuju imovinu, siju usjeve, brinu se o kućanstvima i podižu djecu. Muškarci daju snagu, oru, grade i popravljaju kuće, love životinje i sudjeluju u velikim obiteljskim odlukama. Konačnu riječ uvijek ima baka.

Iako muškarci nemaju očinsku odgovornost, uobičajeno je da žene ne znaju tko je otac njihove djece i to je sasvim u redu. Ujaci su važniji od očeva: oni se brinu o djeci, a kad ujaci ostare, nećaci preuzimaju brigu o njima.

Zamislite društvo bez očeva, bez braka (i razvoda) i gdje ne postoji obitelj. Baka sjedi na čelu stola, njeni sinovi i kćeri žive s njom, zajedno s djecom njihovih kćeri. Muškarci su tek malo više od pastuha, donora sperme i često imaju mali udjel u odgoju svoje djece.

Ovakav feministički poredak postoji u travnatoj dolini u Yunnanu, jugozapadnoj kineskoj provinciji, u dalekom istočnom podnožju Himalaja, piše National Geographic.

Drevna plemenska zajednica tibetanskih budista zove se Mosuo i ona živi na nevjerojatno moderan način: žene su tretirane isto kao i muškarci (ako ne i superiornije), oba spola imaju približno isti broj seksualnih partnera i oslobođeni su osuda.

Djeca u ovom plemenu pripadaju samo majkama, njihovi biološki očevi žive u posebnom matrijarhalnom obiteljskom domu. Iz perspektive autsajdera, Mosuo može biti promatran kao društvo samohranih majki.

Neograničen broj ljubavnika

"Djeca se rađaju izvan braka, što je u Kini još uvijek neobično. Ali članovi naroda Mosuo ne vide stvari na taj način: za njih, brak je nezamisliv koncept i dijete odrasta bez oca jednostavno zbog toga što njihovo društvo ne obraća pažnju na očinstvo. Obitelj postoji, samo u drugoj formi", kaže Choo Waihong, uspješna odvjetnica koja je posjetila ovo pleme prije nekoliko godina.

Svaka obitelj obično se sastoji od 10 ili čak više članova, ali sva imovina je uvijek u rukama žena. Ono što je specifično za ovo pleme jest da prakticiraju jednu vrstu otvorenog, liberalnog braka, gdje je ženama dopušteno da imaju koliko god ljubavnika žele.

Muškarci mogu doći u kuću kod žene kad ona to poželi, provesti noć s njom, ali iz kuće mora otići prije nego što svane. Ukoliko žena ne želi vezu sa svojim dotadašnjim ljubavnikom, simbolično stavlja muške cipele ispred svojih vrata, dajući mu do znanja da je njegovo mjesto zauzeto.

Veze između muškaraca i žena mogu podrazumijevati neobavezne odnose, možda na jednu noć ili redovno viđanje uz produbljivanje emotivnih odnosa koji mogu, ali ne moraju završiti bebom. Parovi nikada ne žive zajedno.

Nebitno očinstvo

Žene posjeduju i nasljeđuju imovinu, siju usjeve, brinu se o kućanstvima i podižu djecu. Muškarci daju snagu, oru, grade i popravljaju kuće, love životinje i sudjeluju u velikim obiteljskim odlukama. Konačnu riječ uvijek ima baka.

Iako muškarci nemaju očinsku odgovornost, uobičajeno je da žene ne znaju tko je otac njihove djece i to je sasvim u redu. Ujaci su važniji od očeva: oni se brinu o djeci, a kad ujaci ostare, nećaci preuzimaju brigu o njima.
