Bjeloruska policija u subotu je privela stotine prosvjednica protiv predsjednika Aleksandra Lukašenka, a ministarstvo vanjskih poslova poručilo je da će moguće sudjelovanje oporbene političarke Svjetlane Tihanovske na ministarskom sastanku EU-a smatrati miješanjem u unutarnje poslove, javljaju agencije.

Tihanovska je na predsjedničkim izborima održanim 9. kolovoza bila protukandidatkinja predsjedniku Aleksandra Lukašenka, koji Bjelorusijom vlada 26 godina. Po službenim rezultatima Lukašenko je na izborima uvjerljivo pobijedio no nakon izbora u Bjelorusiji su izbili masovni prosvjedi zbog, kako tvrdi oporba, manipulacija rezultatima glasanja.

Bjelorusko ministarstvo vanjskih poslova reklo je da je o svom stajalištu informiralo europske diplomate, izvijestila je novinska agencije Belta.

Ruska državna novinska agencija ranije je izvijestila da se očekuje sudjelovanje Tihanovske na sastanku ministara vanjskih poslova članica EU-a idućeg tjedna.

Bjeloruska policija privela je stotine sudionika uglavnom ženskog prosvjeda u Minsku gdje je oko 2.000 ljudi tražilo Lukašenkovu ostavku.

Prosvjednici su se kratko sukobili s policijom koja im je potom prepriječila put i počela iz gomile izvlačiti jednu po jednu osobu, rekao je jedan svjedok.

Na jednoj lokaciji, deseci žena bili su okruženi sigurnosnim snagama u zelenim uniformama pred trgovačkim centrom te izvikivale "Samo kukavice tuku žene!"

Među privedenima je i 73-godišnja aktivistica Nina Baginska koja je postala ikona prosvjednog pokreta pošto je pružila otpor naoružanim policajcima prošli mjesec.

Zbog Lukašenkovog nasilnog odgovora na mirne prosvjede Europska unija razmatra nove sankcije Lukašenkovoj vladi.
Europska unija je izbore u Bjelorusiji proglasila "ni slobodnima ni pravednima" te je osudila nasilje nad prosvjednicima koje je nazvala "neproporcionalnim i neprihvatljivim".

Lukašenko na takve ocjene odgovara da su prosvjedi urota zapadnih sila te je od svoje saveznice Rusije nedavno osigurao 1,5 milijarde eura pomoći.

U Bjelorusiji se od spornih izbora prosvjedi održavaju svaki dan. Prošli vikend je na ulice glavnog grada Minska izašlo najmanje 100 tisuća ljudi.

Tihanovska tvrdi da je ona pobjednica izbora, a u susjednu Litvu pobjegla je nekoliko dana nakon glasanja, strahujući za svoju sigurnost u vrijeme nasilnog gušenja otpora na ulicama. Ona poručuje da prosvjedi moraju ostati mirni.

Bjeloruska policija u subotu je privela stotine prosvjednica protiv predsjednika Aleksandra Lukašenka, a ministarstvo vanjskih poslova poručilo je da će moguće sudjelovanje oporbene političarke Svjetlane Tihanovske na ministarskom sastanku EU-a smatrati miješanjem u unutarnje poslove, javljaju agencije.

Tihanovska je na predsjedničkim izborima održanim 9. kolovoza bila protukandidatkinja predsjedniku Aleksandra Lukašenka, koji Bjelorusijom vlada 26 godina. Po službenim rezultatima Lukašenko je na izborima uvjerljivo pobijedio no nakon izbora u Bjelorusiji su izbili masovni prosvjedi zbog, kako tvrdi oporba, manipulacija rezultatima glasanja.

Bjelorusko ministarstvo vanjskih poslova reklo je da je o svom stajalištu informiralo europske diplomate, izvijestila je novinska agencije Belta.

Ruska državna novinska agencija ranije je izvijestila da se očekuje sudjelovanje Tihanovske na sastanku ministara vanjskih poslova članica EU-a idućeg tjedna.

Bjeloruska policija privela je stotine sudionika uglavnom ženskog prosvjeda u Minsku gdje je oko 2.000 ljudi tražilo Lukašenkovu ostavku.

Prosvjednici su se kratko sukobili s policijom koja im je potom prepriječila put i počela iz gomile izvlačiti jednu po jednu osobu, rekao je jedan svjedok.

Na jednoj lokaciji, deseci žena bili su okruženi sigurnosnim snagama u zelenim uniformama pred trgovačkim centrom te izvikivale "Samo kukavice tuku žene!"

Među privedenima je i 73-godišnja aktivistica Nina Baginska koja je postala ikona prosvjednog pokreta pošto je pružila otpor naoružanim policajcima prošli mjesec.

Zbog Lukašenkovog nasilnog odgovora na mirne prosvjede Europska unija razmatra nove sankcije Lukašenkovoj vladi.
Europska unija je izbore u Bjelorusiji proglasila "ni slobodnima ni pravednima" te je osudila nasilje nad prosvjednicima koje je nazvala "neproporcionalnim i neprihvatljivim".

Lukašenko na takve ocjene odgovara da su prosvjedi urota zapadnih sila te je od svoje saveznice Rusije nedavno osigurao 1,5 milijarde eura pomoći.

U Bjelorusiji se od spornih izbora prosvjedi održavaju svaki dan. Prošli vikend je na ulice glavnog grada Minska izašlo najmanje 100 tisuća ljudi.

Tihanovska tvrdi da je ona pobjednica izbora, a u susjednu Litvu pobjegla je nekoliko dana nakon glasanja, strahujući za svoju sigurnost u vrijeme nasilnog gušenja otpora na ulicama. Ona poručuje da prosvjedi moraju ostati mirni.
