Cijene energenata eksplodirale su u nebo, a Rusija spaljuje ogromne goličine prirodnog plina na granici s Finskom, piše BBC.

Stručnjaci ističu da se isti plin prije izvozio u Njemačku. Postrojenje u blizini granice s Finskom svaki dan sagorijeva plin u vrijednosti od čak 10 milijuna dolara. No nije stvar samo u cijeni i plinu. Znanstvenici su zabrinuti da će ogromna količina ugljičnog dioksida i čađe koja se stvara pri sagorijevanju plina dodatno pogoršati topljenje arktičkog leda, prenosi Jutarnji.

Analiza Rystad Energyja, neovisne energetske konzultatnske kompanije, pokazuje da se svakodnevno spali 4,34 milijuna kubičnih metara plina.

Građani Finske koji žive na granici s Rusijom još od početka ljeta upozoravaju na velike plamenove na horizontu koji stižu iz novog LNG postrojenja u Portovaju, sjeverozapodno od Sankt Petersburga. Portovaja se, inače, nalazi u blizini kompresorske stanice na samom početku plinovoda Sjeverni tok 1 koji transferira plin u Njemačku.

Podsjećamo, opskrba kroz Sjeverni tok 1 ograničena je od sredine srpnja za što Rusi krive "tehničke probleme". No, jasno je da je riječ o političkom potezu potezu Kremlja koji na ovaj način kažnjava Europu za vojnu i ekonomsku pomoć Ukrajini.

"Nikada nisam vidjela da LNG postrojenje toliko bukti", upozorava Jessica McCarty, stručnjakinja za satelitske podatke sa Sveučilišta Miami u Ohiju. "Još smo s početkom lipnja registrirali ogromne plamenove koji jednostavno ne nestaju. Ostaju nenormalno visoki!"

Analitičari se slažu da paljenje nipošto nije slučajno i da je odluka o spaljivanju plina najvjerojatnije donesena iz operativnih razloga.

"Plinski operateri često oklijevaju zatvoriti postrojenja iz straha da bi ponovno pokretanje moglo biti tehnički teško ili skupo, a to je vjerojatno i sada slučaj", izjavljuje Mark Davis, izvršni direktor tvrtke Capteria, kompanije koja se specijalizirala za učinkovito spaljivanje plina.

Gazprom, vlasnik postrojenja u kojem se spaljuje plin, u međuvremenu, nije, naravno, odgovorio na zahtjeve za komentar o spaljivanju tolikih količina plina no pretpostavlja se da je odluka donesena u skladu s trgovinskim embargom Rusije.

"Možda su neki ventili pokvareni i ne mogu ih zamijeniti, zbog trgovinskog embarga oni nisu u mogućnosti proizvesti visokokvalitetne ventile potrebne u preradi nafte i plina", komentira Esa Vakkilainen, profesorica energetskog inženjerstva s finskog sveučilišta LUT.

U Rystad Energyju misle drugačije: "Ovo je podsjetnik na dominaciju Rusije na europskom tržištu energenata. Ne može biti jasnijeg signala - Rusija može sutra rušiti cijene energije. Inače, to je plin koji bi se izvozio preko Sjevernog toka 1 ili nekakva njegova alternativa."

Podsjećamo, cijene energenata diljem svijeta eksplodirale su nakon što su ukinute mjere zabrane zbog Covida i kako su se gospodarstva postupno vraćala u normalu. Ekonomije su najednom trebale više energije stvarajući pritom neviđeni pritisak na dobavljače. Na sve se nadovezala i ruska invazija na Ukrajinu koja je Europu gurnula u potpuni energetski kaos.

Cijene energenata eksplodirale su u nebo, a Rusija spaljuje ogromne goličine prirodnog plina na granici s Finskom, piše BBC.

Stručnjaci ističu da se isti plin prije izvozio u Njemačku. Postrojenje u blizini granice s Finskom svaki dan sagorijeva plin u vrijednosti od čak 10 milijuna dolara. No nije stvar samo u cijeni i plinu. Znanstvenici su zabrinuti da će ogromna količina ugljičnog dioksida i čađe koja se stvara pri sagorijevanju plina dodatno pogoršati topljenje arktičkog leda, prenosi Jutarnji.

Analiza Rystad Energyja, neovisne energetske konzultatnske kompanije, pokazuje da se svakodnevno spali 4,34 milijuna kubičnih metara plina.

Građani Finske koji žive na granici s Rusijom još od početka ljeta upozoravaju na velike plamenove na horizontu koji stižu iz novog LNG postrojenja u Portovaju, sjeverozapodno od Sankt Petersburga. Portovaja se, inače, nalazi u blizini kompresorske stanice na samom početku plinovoda Sjeverni tok 1 koji transferira plin u Njemačku.

Podsjećamo, opskrba kroz Sjeverni tok 1 ograničena je od sredine srpnja za što Rusi krive "tehničke probleme". No, jasno je da je riječ o političkom potezu potezu Kremlja koji na ovaj način kažnjava Europu za vojnu i ekonomsku pomoć Ukrajini.

Iako je izgaranje plina najnormalnija stvar u postrojenjima za preradu - obično se radi o tehničkim i sigurnosnim razlozima - razmjeri ovog izgaranja zapanjili su stručnjake.

"Nikada nisam vidjela da LNG postrojenje toliko bukti", upozorava Jessica McCarty, stručnjakinja za satelitske podatke sa Sveučilišta Miami u Ohiju. "Još smo s početkom lipnja registrirali ogromne plamenove koji jednostavno ne nestaju. Ostaju nenormalno visoki!"

Analitičari se slažu da paljenje nipošto nije slučajno i da je odluka o spaljivanju plina najvjerojatnije donesena iz operativnih razloga.

"Plinski operateri često oklijevaju zatvoriti postrojenja iz straha da bi ponovno pokretanje moglo biti tehnički teško ili skupo, a to je vjerojatno i sada slučaj", izjavljuje Mark Davis, izvršni direktor tvrtke Capteria, kompanije koja se specijalizirala za učinkovito spaljivanje plina.

Gazprom, vlasnik postrojenja u kojem se spaljuje plin, u međuvremenu, nije, naravno, odgovorio na zahtjeve za komentar o spaljivanju tolikih količina plina no pretpostavlja se da je odluka donesena u skladu s trgovinskim embargom Rusije.

"Možda su neki ventili pokvareni i ne mogu ih zamijeniti, zbog trgovinskog embarga oni nisu u mogućnosti proizvesti visokokvalitetne ventile potrebne u preradi nafte i plina", komentira Esa Vakkilainen, profesorica energetskog inženjerstva s finskog sveučilišta LUT.

U Rystad Energyju misle drugačije: "Ovo je podsjetnik na dominaciju Rusije na europskom tržištu energenata. Ne može biti jasnijeg signala - Rusija može sutra rušiti cijene energije. Inače, to je plin koji bi se izvozio preko Sjevernog toka 1 ili nekakva njegova alternativa."

Podsjećamo, cijene energenata diljem svijeta eksplodirale su nakon što su ukinute mjere zabrane zbog Covida i kako su se gospodarstva postupno vraćala u normalu. Ekonomije su najednom trebale više energije stvarajući pritom neviđeni pritisak na dobavljače. Na sve se nadovezala i ruska invazija na Ukrajinu koja je Europu gurnula u potpuni energetski kaos.

Cijene energenata eksplodirale su u nebo, a Rusija spaljuje ogromne goličine prirodnog plina na granici s Finskom, piše BBC.

Stručnjaci ističu da se isti plin prije izvozio u Njemačku. Postrojenje u blizini granice s Finskom svaki dan sagorijeva plin u vrijednosti od čak 10 milijuna dolara. No nije stvar samo u cijeni i plinu. Znanstvenici su zabrinuti da će ogromna količina ugljičnog dioksida i čađe koja se stvara pri sagorijevanju plina dodatno pogoršati topljenje arktičkog leda, prenosi Jutarnji.

Analiza Rystad Energyja, neovisne energetske konzultatnske kompanije, pokazuje da se svakodnevno spali 4,34 milijuna kubičnih metara plina.
