Rusija u četvrtak obilježava 80. obljetnicu sovjetske pobjede u bitci za Staljingrad, velike prekretnice u Drugom svjetskom ratu i simbola domoljublja koje s udvostručenom snagom zagovara Vladimir Putin u jeku ofenzive u Ukrajini.

Obilježavanje bitke za Staljingrad dolazi u vrijeme žestokih borbi između ruskih snaga i ukrajinskih vojnika u toj bivšoj sovjetskoj republici, poprištu više od godinu dana ruske ofenzive pokrenute, prema Kremlju, radi "demilitarizacije" i "denacifikacije" te susjedne zemlje.

Ruski predsjednik će otputovati u Volgograd, nekadašnji Staljingrad, kako bi sudjelovao u proslavi, priopćio je Kremlj.

Smatrana jednom od najkrvavijih u povijesti, s oko dva milijuna mrtvih na obje strane, Staljingradska bitka (1942.-1943.) promijenila je tijek sukoba u Drugom svjetskom ratu.

Tu pobjedu još uvijek slavi Rusija koja se smatra nasljednicom Sovjetskog Saveza koji je spasio Europu od nacizma.

Pobjeda u ovoj bitci dobiva dodatnu simboličku važnost kako se približava prva godišnjica pokretanja ruske operacije protiv Ukrajine 24. veljače 2022., gdje Moskva pojačava svoje akcije nakon nedavnog zauzimanja Soledara, grada u istočnoj Ukrajini, što je bio prvi uspjeh za ruske snage nakon mnogo mjeseci i niz neuspjeha.

Sam ruski predsjednik ne libi se povući paralelu između otpora protiv Hitlera i ofenzive u Ukrajini.

"Zaboravljanje lekcija iz povijesti dovodi do ponavljanja strašnih tragedija. Dokaz za to su zločini nad civilima, etničko čišćenje (i) kaznene akcije koje organiziraju neonacisti u Ukrajini", ustvrdio je tako prošlog petka, povodom Međunarodnog dana sjećanja na žrtve holokausta. “Upravo protiv tog zla naši se vojnici hrabro bore”, dodao je.

Ove izjave izazvale su žestoke reakcije. Šefica francuske diplomacije Catherine Colonna opisala ih je kao "strašne" i "šokantne", te "nedostojnu provokaciju" na dan sjećanja na žrtve žrholokausta.

Od posebne važnosti

U Volgogradu, milijunskom gradu na obali Volge, srijeda i četvrtak proglašeni su neradnim danima.

Ova je odluka donesena "s obzirom na osobitu važnost poraza nacističkih snaga u bitci za Staljingrad za konačnu pobjedu" u Drugom svjetskom ratu, objasnila je regionalna uprava.

Uoči 80. obljetnice pobjede kod Staljingrada u Volgogradu je otkrivena Staljinova bista.

U četvrtak će se u sklopu proslave održati i vojna parada i koncert, a cvijeće i vijenci ujutro će preplaviti Mamajev Kurgan, strateško brdo oko kojeg su se vodile strašne borbe.

Golemi spomenik kojim dominira divovski kip Majke domovine, koji je na ovom brdu svečano otkriven 1967., desetljećima je bio mjesto hodočašća Rusa koji su željeli odati počast podvizima sovjetske vojske i naroda.

Bitka za Staljingrad, koja je započela u srpnju 1942., trajala je 200 dana i noći. Grad, pretvoren u ruševine, bio je poprište razornih njemačkih zračnih bombardiranja i uličnih bitaka.

Dana 2. veljače 1943. trupe njemačkog maršala Friedricha Paulusa kapitulirale su okružene Crvenom armijom, a to je bila prva predaja nacističke vojske od početka rata.

U potpunosti obnovljen po nalogu sovjetskih vlasti, Staljingrad je preimenovan u Volgograd 1961., osam godina nakon smrti Josipa Staljina.

Rusija u četvrtak obilježava 80. obljetnicu sovjetske pobjede u bitci za Staljingrad, velike prekretnice u Drugom svjetskom ratu i simbola domoljublja koje s udvostručenom snagom zagovara Vladimir Putin u jeku ofenzive u Ukrajini.

Obilježavanje bitke za Staljingrad dolazi u vrijeme žestokih borbi između ruskih snaga i ukrajinskih vojnika u toj bivšoj sovjetskoj republici, poprištu više od godinu dana ruske ofenzive pokrenute, prema Kremlju, radi "demilitarizacije" i "denacifikacije" te susjedne zemlje.

Ruski predsjednik će otputovati u Volgograd, nekadašnji Staljingrad, kako bi sudjelovao u proslavi, priopćio je Kremlj.

Smatrana jednom od najkrvavijih u povijesti, s oko dva milijuna mrtvih na obje strane, Staljingradska bitka (1942.-1943.) promijenila je tijek sukoba u Drugom svjetskom ratu.

Tu pobjedu još uvijek slavi Rusija koja se smatra nasljednicom Sovjetskog Saveza koji je spasio Europu od nacizma.

Pobjeda u ovoj bitci dobiva dodatnu simboličku važnost kako se približava prva godišnjica pokretanja ruske operacije protiv Ukrajine 24. veljače 2022., gdje Moskva pojačava svoje akcije nakon nedavnog zauzimanja Soledara, grada u istočnoj Ukrajini, što je bio prvi uspjeh za ruske snage nakon mnogo mjeseci i niz neuspjeha.

Sam ruski predsjednik ne libi se povući paralelu između otpora protiv Hitlera i ofenzive u Ukrajini.

"Zaboravljanje lekcija iz povijesti dovodi do ponavljanja strašnih tragedija. Dokaz za to su zločini nad civilima, etničko čišćenje (i) kaznene akcije koje organiziraju neonacisti u Ukrajini", ustvrdio je tako prošlog petka, povodom Međunarodnog dana sjećanja na žrtve holokausta. “Upravo protiv tog zla naši se vojnici hrabro bore”, dodao je.

Ove izjave izazvale su žestoke reakcije. Šefica francuske diplomacije Catherine Colonna opisala ih je kao "strašne" i "šokantne", te "nedostojnu provokaciju" na dan sjećanja na žrtve žrholokausta.

Od posebne važnosti

U Volgogradu, milijunskom gradu na obali Volge, srijeda i četvrtak proglašeni su neradnim danima.

Ova je odluka donesena "s obzirom na osobitu važnost poraza nacističkih snaga u bitci za Staljingrad za konačnu pobjedu" u Drugom svjetskom ratu, objasnila je regionalna uprava.

Uoči 80. obljetnice pobjede kod Staljingrada u Volgogradu je otkrivena Staljinova bista.

U četvrtak će se u sklopu proslave održati i vojna parada i koncert, a cvijeće i vijenci ujutro će preplaviti Mamajev Kurgan, strateško brdo oko kojeg su se vodile strašne borbe.

Golemi spomenik kojim dominira divovski kip Majke domovine, koji je na ovom brdu svečano otkriven 1967., desetljećima je bio mjesto hodočašća Rusa koji su željeli odati počast podvizima sovjetske vojske i naroda.

Bitka za Staljingrad, koja je započela u srpnju 1942., trajala je 200 dana i noći. Grad, pretvoren u ruševine, bio je poprište razornih njemačkih zračnih bombardiranja i uličnih bitaka.

Dana 2. veljače 1943. trupe njemačkog maršala Friedricha Paulusa kapitulirale su okružene Crvenom armijom, a to je bila prva predaja nacističke vojske od početka rata.

U potpunosti obnovljen po nalogu sovjetskih vlasti, Staljingrad je preimenovan u Volgograd 1961., osam godina nakon smrti Josipa Staljina.

Rusija u četvrtak obilježava 80. obljetnicu sovjetske pobjede u bitci za Staljingrad, velike prekretnice u Drugom svjetskom ratu i simbola domoljublja koje s udvostručenom snagom zagovara Vladimir Putin u jeku ofenzive u Ukrajini.

Obilježavanje bitke za Staljingrad dolazi u vrijeme žestokih borbi između ruskih snaga i ukrajinskih vojnika u toj bivšoj sovjetskoj republici, poprištu više od godinu dana ruske ofenzive pokrenute, prema Kremlju, radi "demilitarizacije" i "denacifikacije" te susjedne zemlje.

Ruski predsjednik će otputovati u Volgograd, nekadašnji Staljingrad, kako bi sudjelovao u proslavi, priopćio je Kremlj.
