Čini se da američka sigurnosna služba NSA nije jedina špijunska agencija koja prisluškuje u zemlji i svijetu – ovotjedni izvještaj konzorcija sedamnaest međunarodnih medija (francuski Le Monde, britanski The Guardian, američki The Washington Post...) otkriva da su to činile i brojne druge svjetske vlade i njihove agencije, koristeći zloćudni softver Pegaz koji je razvila izraelska tvrtka NSO Group.

Novinari istražitelji radili su na temelju popisa nevladine udruge Amnesty International i mreže Forbidden Stories, sa sjedištem u Francuskoj, koji obuhvaća 50.000 telefonskih brojeva koje je NSO odabrao od 2016. radi potencijalnog praćenja.

Istraga je pokazala da je među vlasnicima tih brojeva najmanje 180 novinara (mahom iz velikih zapadnih medija: The Financial Times, CNN, The New York Times, France 24, Economist, Associated Press i Reuters), 600 političara, 85 boraca za ljudska prava i 65 direktora tvrtki.

Prisluškivani su i veleposlanici, diplomati, poslovni ljudi, akademici, zaposlenici nevladinih organizacija, vjerski lideri, sindikalisti i vladini dužnosnici, čak i ministri, premijeri i predsjednici.

Konkretno, kako piše Washington Post, na meti špijunskog softvera našlo se i 14 šefova država i vlada: tri aktualna predsjednika (francuski Emmanuel Macron, irački Barham Salih i južnoafrički Cyril Ramaphosa), deset premijera – od kojih tri aktualna (pakistanski Imran Khan, egipatski Mostafa Madbouly i marokanski Saad-Eddine El Othmani) i sedam bivših, među kojima i Belgijac Charles Michel, današnji predsjednik Europskog vijeća – te marokanski kralj Mohammed VI.

Softver Pegaz ima sposobnost inficirati mobilne telefone operativnih sustava iPhone i Android, nakon čega se inficirani telefoni mogu nadzirati na način da se prate SMS-ovi i pozivi korisnika, kao i njihovi e-mailovi i fotografije. Softver nudi i mogućnost skrivenog uključivanja mikrofona i kamere, kako bi se čulo i vidjelo što praćeni i prisluškivani korisnici rade, odnosno gdje se i s kim se u nekom trenutku nalaze.

Saga se nastavlja

Izvorno je Pegaz zamišljen za nadzor kriminalaca i terorista, ali eto, "nekim čudom" na tom su se popisu našli i novinari, aktivisti i političari. Ova sofisticirana izraelska tehnologija prodavana je, uz odobrenje izraelskog Ministarstva obrane, raznim zemljama i režimima diljem svijeta: NSO Group objavio je da je njezin softver kupilo 60 vojnih, policijskih i obavještajnih agencija iz 40 država, bez preciziranja o kojim se zemljama radi.

No, medijski konzorcij koji je provodio istragu otkriva najmanje deset država koje su koristile Pegaz: Azerbajdžan, Bahrein, Kazahstan, Meksiko, Maroko, Ruanda, Saudijska Arabija, Mađarska, Indija i Ujedinjeni Arapski Emirati.

Prema prvim podacima, najveći korisnici Pegaza bili su Meksiko (čije su obavještajne službe imale na popisu više od 15.000 brojeva) i UAE (10.000 brojeva). Na popisu su i brojevi dužnosnika u Afganistanu, Butanu, Kini, Kongu, Egiptu, Iranu, Kuvajtu, Maliju, Nepalu, Kataru, Togu, Turskoj, Britaniji i SAD-u.

Kako je u utorak na N1 otkrio naš informatički stručnjak Marko Rakar, na popisu zemalja na čijem je teritoriju korišten Pegaz – odnosno čiji su građani prisluškivani i praćeni – nalazi se i Hrvatska. Međutim, kako nam tumači Rakar, to još uvijek ne znači da su ga koristile hrvatske službe; moguće je, naime, da su hrvatske građane čiji se brojevi nalaze među 50.000 brojeva koje je otkrio konzorcij prisluškivale i neke strane službe.

– Radi se o izvještaju koji je Amnesty International objavio na svojim stranicama, iz kojeg proizlazi da neki od prisluškivanih brojeva pripadaju građanima Hrvatske. To je mogla učiniti naša SOA, ali i CIA, odnosno obavještajne službe Izraela, Njemačke ili neke druge zemlje – kaže nam Rakar.

Kako bilo, ova saga se nastavlja. Iz Guardiana su poručili da će u idućim danima otkrivati identitete osoba čiji se brojevi telefona nalaze na popisu.

Čini se da američka sigurnosna služba NSA nije jedina špijunska agencija koja prisluškuje u zemlji i svijetu – ovotjedni izvještaj konzorcija sedamnaest međunarodnih medija (francuski Le Monde, britanski The Guardian, američki The Washington Post...) otkriva da su to činile i brojne druge svjetske vlade i njihove agencije, koristeći zloćudni softver Pegaz koji je razvila izraelska tvrtka NSO Group.

Novinari istražitelji radili su na temelju popisa nevladine udruge Amnesty International i mreže Forbidden Stories, sa sjedištem u Francuskoj, koji obuhvaća 50.000 telefonskih brojeva koje je NSO odabrao od 2016. radi potencijalnog praćenja.

Istraga je pokazala da je među vlasnicima tih brojeva najmanje 180 novinara (mahom iz velikih zapadnih medija: The Financial Times, CNN, The New York Times, France 24, Economist, Associated Press i Reuters), 600 političara, 85 boraca za ljudska prava i 65 direktora tvrtki.

Prisluškivani su i veleposlanici, diplomati, poslovni ljudi, akademici, zaposlenici nevladinih organizacija, vjerski lideri, sindikalisti i vladini dužnosnici, čak i ministri, premijeri i predsjednici.

Konkretno, kako piše Washington Post, na meti špijunskog softvera našlo se i 14 šefova država i vlada: tri aktualna predsjednika (francuski Emmanuel Macron, irački Barham Salih i južnoafrički Cyril Ramaphosa), deset premijera – od kojih tri aktualna (pakistanski Imran Khan, egipatski Mostafa Madbouly i marokanski Saad-Eddine El Othmani) i sedam bivših, među kojima i Belgijac Charles Michel, današnji predsjednik Europskog vijeća – te marokanski kralj Mohammed VI.

Softver Pegaz ima sposobnost inficirati mobilne telefone operativnih sustava iPhone i Android, nakon čega se inficirani telefoni mogu nadzirati na način da se prate SMS-ovi i pozivi korisnika, kao i njihovi e-mailovi i fotografije. Softver nudi i mogućnost skrivenog uključivanja mikrofona i kamere, kako bi se čulo i vidjelo što praćeni i prisluškivani korisnici rade, odnosno gdje se i s kim se u nekom trenutku nalaze.

Saga se nastavlja

Izvorno je Pegaz zamišljen za nadzor kriminalaca i terorista, ali eto, "nekim čudom" na tom su se popisu našli i novinari, aktivisti i političari. Ova sofisticirana izraelska tehnologija prodavana je, uz odobrenje izraelskog Ministarstva obrane, raznim zemljama i režimima diljem svijeta: NSO Group objavio je da je njezin softver kupilo 60 vojnih, policijskih i obavještajnih agencija iz 40 država, bez preciziranja o kojim se zemljama radi.

No, medijski konzorcij koji je provodio istragu otkriva najmanje deset država koje su koristile Pegaz: Azerbajdžan, Bahrein, Kazahstan, Meksiko, Maroko, Ruanda, Saudijska Arabija, Mađarska, Indija i Ujedinjeni Arapski Emirati.

Prema prvim podacima, najveći korisnici Pegaza bili su Meksiko (čije su obavještajne službe imale na popisu više od 15.000 brojeva) i UAE (10.000 brojeva). Na popisu su i brojevi dužnosnika u Afganistanu, Butanu, Kini, Kongu, Egiptu, Iranu, Kuvajtu, Maliju, Nepalu, Kataru, Togu, Turskoj, Britaniji i SAD-u.

Kako je u utorak na N1 otkrio naš informatički stručnjak Marko Rakar, na popisu zemalja na čijem je teritoriju korišten Pegaz – odnosno čiji su građani prisluškivani i praćeni – nalazi se i Hrvatska. Međutim, kako nam tumači Rakar, to još uvijek ne znači da su ga koristile hrvatske službe; moguće je, naime, da su hrvatske građane čiji se brojevi nalaze među 50.000 brojeva koje je otkrio konzorcij prisluškivale i neke strane službe.

– Radi se o izvještaju koji je Amnesty International objavio na svojim stranicama, iz kojeg proizlazi da neki od prisluškivanih brojeva pripadaju građanima Hrvatske. To je mogla učiniti naša SOA, ali i CIA, odnosno obavještajne službe Izraela, Njemačke ili neke druge zemlje – kaže nam Rakar.

Kako bilo, ova saga se nastavlja. Iz Guardiana su poručili da će u idućim danima otkrivati identitete osoba čiji se brojevi telefona nalaze na popisu.
