Shoko Asahara, vođa apokaliptičnog kulta odgovornog za napad smrtonosnim plinom sarinom u tokijskoj podzemnoj željeznici 1995. godine, pogubljen je u petak zajedno s još šestoricom svojih sljedbenika, objavili su japanski mediji.

Glasnogovornik japanske vlade Yoshihide Suga potvrdio je da je Asahara pogubljen vješanjem.

Asahara je zajedno s još 12 članova svog kulta Aum Shinrikyo osuđen na smrt zbog niza zločina u kojima je ubijeno ukupno 27 ljudi, među kojima i za napad sarinom u podzemnoj željeznici u Tokiju u kojemu je poginulo 13, a ozlijeđeno više od 6000 ljudi.

Agencija Kyodo javila je da su osim Asahare pogubljena još šestorica članova kulta. Oni su prvi osuđenici na smrt nad kojima je smrtna presuda izvršena, pošto je u siječnju dovršen sudski postupak protiv svih optuženih članova Auma.

Japan je uz SAD jedna od rijetkih razvijenih zemalja koje izvršavaju smrtne kazne.

Shoko Asahara, vođa apokaliptičnog kulta odgovornog za napad smrtonosnim plinom sarinom u tokijskoj podzemnoj željeznici 1995. godine, pogubljen je u petak zajedno s još šestoricom svojih sljedbenika, objavili su japanski mediji.

Glasnogovornik japanske vlade Yoshihide Suga potvrdio je da je Asahara pogubljen vješanjem.

Asahara je zajedno s još 12 članova svog kulta Aum Shinrikyo osuđen na smrt zbog niza zločina u kojima je ubijeno ukupno 27 ljudi, među kojima i za napad sarinom u podzemnoj željeznici u Tokiju u kojemu je poginulo 13, a ozlijeđeno više od 6000 ljudi.

Agencija Kyodo javila je da su osim Asahare pogubljena još šestorica članova kulta. Oni su prvi osuđenici na smrt nad kojima je smrtna presuda izvršena, pošto je u siječnju dovršen sudski postupak protiv svih optuženih članova Auma.

Japan je uz SAD jedna od rijetkih razvijenih zemalja koje izvršavaju smrtne kazne.
