Europska unija, Velika Britanija, Francuska i mirovni aktivisti diljem svijeta osudili su u utorak presudu oporbenoj čelnici u Mianmaru Aung San Suu Kyi kao "nepravednu, sramotnu i brutalnu" te zatražili uvođenje oštrijih sankcija protiv vojnoga režima u toj azijskoj zemlji, prenose u ponedjeljak svjetske agencije.
Reuters prenosi izjavu švedskog predsjedništva EU-a koje je naajvilo da će pooštriti sankcije vojnoj hunti zbog "nepravedne" presude prodemokratske oporbene čelnice.
"EU osuđuje presudu protiv Aung San Suu Kyi, čelnice Nacionalne lige za demokraciju i dobitnice Nobelove nagrade za mir, te nepravedno suđenje protiv nje", stoji u izjavi švedskog predsjedništva.
"EU će odgovoriti dodatnim ciljanim mjerama protiv odgovornih za tu presudu. Nadalje, EU će ojačati restriktivne mjere protiv režima u Mianmaru, uključujući njegove gospodarske interese", dodaje se u izjavi.
Francuski predsjednik Nicolas Sarkozy također se zauzima za dodatne sankcije Mianmaru i presudu protiv Suu Kyi ocijenjuje "brutalnom i nepravednom".
U priopćenju Sarkozyeva ureda navodi se da je Suu Kyi žrtva političkog suđenja kojemu je cilj spriječiti njezinu borbu za demokratsku i slobodnu državu.
"Vlasti u Mianmaru pokazale su ovom presudom ignorantski odnos prema porukama međunarodne zajednice", ističe se u priopćenju.
Osudama se priključio i britanski premijer Gordon Brown koji je izjavio da je "tužan i ljutit" zbog presude koja je rezultat "sramotnog suđenja", prenosi dpa.
U oštro intoniranom priopćenju, Brown kaže kako je presuda dokaz da je vojni režim "odlučan djelovati na način koji potpuno odbacuje standarde vladavine prava".
Izbori, zakazani za 2010., neće biti "pošteni i legitimni" ako u njima ne sudjeluje Suu Kyi, istaknuo je britanski premijer.
Norveški ministar vanjskih poslova Jonas Gahr Stoere kritizirao je u utorak na društvenoj mreži Twitter presudu mianmarskoj oporbenoj čelnici.
"Osamnaest mjeseci kućnog pritvora za Aung San Suu Kyi, jer ju hunta želi udaljiti od izbora, to je neprihvatljivo", piše Stoere na Twitteru te dodaje da je potrebno nastaviti pritisak.
U priopćenju kojeg je kasnije izdalo njegovo ministarstvo Stoere je naglasio da je sada važno da međunarodna zajednica reagira na tu presudu.
I organizacija za zaštitu ljudskih prava Amnesty International osudila je presudu Aung San Suu Kyi.
"Njezino uhićenje, proces koji se protiv nje vodi i presuda su politička i pravosudna maškarada", ocijenila je glavna tajnica organizacije Irene Khan u priopćenju.
Njemačka novinska dpa agencija navodi da su se deseci prodemokratskih aktivista okupili pred veleposlanstvom Mianmara na Filipinima prosvjedujući protiv "nepoštene i neutemeljene presude".
Glasnogovornik Koalicije za slobodnu Burmu Egoy Bans upozorio je da bi se vojna hunta mogla suočiti s pobunom, nalik onoj iz 2007. kada je više od 100.000 ljudi, predvođenih budističkim redovnicima, prosvjedovalo u Yangonu.
"Aung San Suu Kyi je nada za demokraciju u Mianmaru. Osuda za zločin koji nije počinila zapravo je ubojstvo te nade", istaknuo je Bans, prenosi dpa.

Europska unija, Velika Britanija, Francuska i mirovni aktivisti diljem svijeta osudili su u utorak presudu oporbenoj čelnici u Mianmaru Aung San Suu Kyi kao "nepravednu, sramotnu i brutalnu" te zatražili uvođenje oštrijih sankcija protiv vojnoga režima u toj azijskoj zemlji, prenose u ponedjeljak svjetske agencije.
Reuters prenosi izjavu švedskog predsjedništva EU-a koje je naajvilo da će pooštriti sankcije vojnoj hunti zbog "nepravedne" presude prodemokratske oporbene čelnice.
"EU osuđuje presudu protiv Aung San Suu Kyi, čelnice Nacionalne lige za demokraciju i dobitnice Nobelove nagrade za mir, te nepravedno suđenje protiv nje", stoji u izjavi švedskog predsjedništva.
"EU će odgovoriti dodatnim ciljanim mjerama protiv odgovornih za tu presudu. Nadalje, EU će ojačati restriktivne mjere protiv režima u Mianmaru, uključujući njegove gospodarske interese", dodaje se u izjavi.
Francuski predsjednik Nicolas Sarkozy također se zauzima za dodatne sankcije Mianmaru i presudu protiv Suu Kyi ocijenjuje "brutalnom i nepravednom".
U priopćenju Sarkozyeva ureda navodi se da je Suu Kyi žrtva političkog suđenja kojemu je cilj spriječiti njezinu borbu za demokratsku i slobodnu državu.
"Vlasti u Mianmaru pokazale su ovom presudom ignorantski odnos prema porukama međunarodne zajednice", ističe se u priopćenju.
Osudama se priključio i britanski premijer Gordon Brown koji je izjavio da je "tužan i ljutit" zbog presude koja je rezultat "sramotnog suđenja", prenosi dpa.
U oštro intoniranom priopćenju, Brown kaže kako je presuda dokaz da je vojni režim "odlučan djelovati na način koji potpuno odbacuje standarde vladavine prava".
Izbori, zakazani za 2010., neće biti "pošteni i legitimni" ako u njima ne sudjeluje Suu Kyi, istaknuo je britanski premijer.
Norveški ministar vanjskih poslova Jonas Gahr Stoere kritizirao je u utorak na društvenoj mreži Twitter presudu mianmarskoj oporbenoj čelnici.
"Osamnaest mjeseci kućnog pritvora za Aung San Suu Kyi, jer ju hunta želi udaljiti od izbora, to je neprihvatljivo", piše Stoere na Twitteru te dodaje da je potrebno nastaviti pritisak.
U priopćenju kojeg je kasnije izdalo njegovo ministarstvo Stoere je naglasio da je sada važno da međunarodna zajednica reagira na tu presudu.
I organizacija za zaštitu ljudskih prava Amnesty International osudila je presudu Aung San Suu Kyi.
"Njezino uhićenje, proces koji se protiv nje vodi i presuda su politička i pravosudna maškarada", ocijenila je glavna tajnica organizacije Irene Khan u priopćenju.
Njemačka novinska dpa agencija navodi da su se deseci prodemokratskih aktivista okupili pred veleposlanstvom Mianmara na Filipinima prosvjedujući protiv "nepoštene i neutemeljene presude".
Glasnogovornik Koalicije za slobodnu Burmu Egoy Bans upozorio je da bi se vojna hunta mogla suočiti s pobunom, nalik onoj iz 2007. kada je više od 100.000 ljudi, predvođenih budističkim redovnicima, prosvjedovalo u Yangonu.
"Aung San Suu Kyi je nada za demokraciju u Mianmaru. Osuda za zločin koji nije počinila zapravo je ubojstvo te nade", istaknuo je Bans, prenosi dpa.
