Deseci tisuća Rusa napustili su svoju zemlju otkako je napala Ukrajinu 24. veljače, nastojeći izbjeći sve jaču represiju i ekonomski kolaps izazvan zapadnim sankcijama – javlja "The Times".

To nisu samo oligarhijske elite; većina ih je iz obrazovane srednje klase i raznih uslužnih djelatnosti. Mnogi se nemaju namjeru vratiti. Jedan analitičar kaže da ovaj egzodus predstavlja pravi "odljev mozgova".

Najmanje 25.000 Rusa otišlo je u Gruziju od početka rata, a 80.000 navodno se preselilo u Armeniju. Podaci koje su vlasti i istraživači u okolnim zemljama dali "The Timesu" pokazuju da ih je najmanje 12.000 ušlo u Estoniju, a više od 10.000 se preselilo u Tursku. Više od tisuću ljudi prelazi u Finsku svaki dan, od kojih 2260 samo 6. ožujka. Drugi su potražili utočište u Azerbajdžanu i drugim bivšim sovjetskim republikama u središnjoj Aziji.

Jerevan, glavni grad Armenije, još je jedno privlačno odredište za one koji bježe od Putinova rata, s čak 80.000 Rusa koji su prešli granicu od 24. veljače. Ruski priljev u Armeniju toliko je intenzivan da su najamnine u gradu u posljednjih mjesec dana porasle za više od 15 posto, a prema nekim procjenama cijene stanova su utrostručene.

Graničari iz Finske i Estonije rekli su kako je uobičajeno da tisuće Rusa ulaze i izlaze iz njihovih zemalja na tjednoj bazi i da trenutačni broj nije mnogo veći od uobičajenog.

Ipak, vrata se ubrzano zatvaraju. Europska unija zatvorila je svoj zračni prostor za ruske letove, a više od 500 zrakoplova koje su strane tvrtke iznajmile ruskim zračnim prijevoznicima prizemljeno je, zbog čega su cijene preostalih letova sada previsoke. Ilkin Rustamzade, aktivist i pisac iz Azerbajdžana, rekao je da je dotok Rusa gotovo potpuno prestao kroz prošli tjedan jer je cijena avionske karte od Moskve do Bakua porasla s oko 240 eura na više od 3300.

Odlazak kopnom nije puno lakši: Azerbajdžan je zatvorio svoju granicu, što znači da se čak 3,5 milijuna azerbejdžanskih državljana u Rusiji ne može vratiti u svoju domovinu. Latvija je prestala izdavati vize za Ruse nedugo nakon što je izbio rat, Finska sada zahtijeva vizu i potvrdu o cijepljenju, a estonska veleposlanstva i konzulati u Rusiji i Bjelorusiji prestali su izdavati turističke vize sve dok se napad na Ukrajinu ne obustavi.

Mnogi od novih ruskih migranata su zapravo političke izbjeglice, zaprepaštene agresijom svoje vlade protiv koje ne mogu prosvjedovati, a da ne ugroze sebe i svoje obitelji. Čak i izvan Rusije nisu se svi osjećali sigurnima od duge ruke Kremlja. Postoje navodni primjeri da je Gruzija odbijala istaknute ruske oporbenjake.

David A Merkel, suradnik na Međunarodnom institutu za strateške studije ("think tank" specijaliziran za Europu, Kavkaz i središnju Aziju), kaže: “Zanimljivo je da nije samo elita ta koja odlazi iz zemlje u zapadnu i srednju Europu. Imate srednju klasu koja bježi iz Rusije i odlazi u Armeniju, Gruziju, Azerbajdžan te također u Kazahstan i drugdje u središnjoj Aziji, i to u velikom broju. U Kazahstanu otvaraju bankovne račune, ne samo zato što i dalje primaju rublju, već i zato jer su zabrinuti da će njihov novac ostati zarobljen u Rusiji.” Rublja je u posljednja tri tjedna izgubila gotovo polovicu svoje vrijednosti u odnosu na dolar.

Mnogi Rusi iz srednje klase više ne vide budućnost u svojoj domovini, smatra Merkel. "To nije samo ekonomska odluka", rekao je. "Oni sada odlaze i zbog pojačanog ugnjetavanja u Moskvi, povećane izolacije i straha da će biti zarobljeni."

Za neke druge, međutim, samonametnuto izgnanstvo slijedi tvrdoglavu komercijalnu logiku. Mnoge ruske tvrtke sa zapadnim klijentima pokušavaju zaobići sankcije premještanjem osoblja u inozemstvo. Armenija i Gruzija su povoljna odredišta, bez viza za Ruse koji su radili s tehnološkim tvrtkama, a sada žele nastaviti prodavati svoje usluge Zapadu. Neke međunarodne tvrtke aktivno pokušavaju preseliti svoje ruske zaposlenike iz zemlje.

Rusen, ruski istraživački institut u Ankari, iznosi podatak da je više od 10.000 Rusa već preselilo u Tursku od početka invazije, a tisuće su još na putu. Zemlja je popularno odredište za odmor ruske srednje klase, od kojih neki već posjeduju nekretnine u ljetovalištima na obali, kao što je Antalya.

Mnogi Rusi koji stižu u Tursku su dobrostojeći, sredovječni roditelji koji pokušavaju izvući svoje sinove kako ne bi bili regrutirani i raspoređeni na bojišnicu u Ukrajini. "Njihov najveći strah je da ruska vlada može zatvoriti granice kako bi oni ostali u Rusiji", rekao je glasnogovornik Rusena.

Deseci tisuća Rusa napustili su svoju zemlju otkako je napala Ukrajinu 24. veljače, nastojeći izbjeći sve jaču represiju i ekonomski kolaps izazvan zapadnim sankcijama – javlja "The Times".

To nisu samo oligarhijske elite; većina ih je iz obrazovane srednje klase i raznih uslužnih djelatnosti. Mnogi se nemaju namjeru vratiti. Jedan analitičar kaže da ovaj egzodus predstavlja pravi "odljev mozgova".

Najmanje 25.000 Rusa otišlo je u Gruziju od početka rata, a 80.000 navodno se preselilo u Armeniju. Podaci koje su vlasti i istraživači u okolnim zemljama dali "The Timesu" pokazuju da ih je najmanje 12.000 ušlo u Estoniju, a više od 10.000 se preselilo u Tursku. Više od tisuću ljudi prelazi u Finsku svaki dan, od kojih 2260 samo 6. ožujka. Drugi su potražili utočište u Azerbajdžanu i drugim bivšim sovjetskim republikama u središnjoj Aziji.

Jerevan, glavni grad Armenije, još je jedno privlačno odredište za one koji bježe od Putinova rata, s čak 80.000 Rusa koji su prešli granicu od 24. veljače. Ruski priljev u Armeniju toliko je intenzivan da su najamnine u gradu u posljednjih mjesec dana porasle za više od 15 posto, a prema nekim procjenama cijene stanova su utrostručene.

Graničari iz Finske i Estonije rekli su kako je uobičajeno da tisuće Rusa ulaze i izlaze iz njihovih zemalja na tjednoj bazi i da trenutačni broj nije mnogo veći od uobičajenog.

Ipak, vrata se ubrzano zatvaraju. Europska unija zatvorila je svoj zračni prostor za ruske letove, a više od 500 zrakoplova koje su strane tvrtke iznajmile ruskim zračnim prijevoznicima prizemljeno je, zbog čega su cijene preostalih letova sada previsoke. Ilkin Rustamzade, aktivist i pisac iz Azerbajdžana, rekao je da je dotok Rusa gotovo potpuno prestao kroz prošli tjedan jer je cijena avionske karte od Moskve do Bakua porasla s oko 240 eura na više od 3300.

Odlazak kopnom nije puno lakši: Azerbajdžan je zatvorio svoju granicu, što znači da se čak 3,5 milijuna azerbejdžanskih državljana u Rusiji ne može vratiti u svoju domovinu. Latvija je prestala izdavati vize za Ruse nedugo nakon što je izbio rat, Finska sada zahtijeva vizu i potvrdu o cijepljenju, a estonska veleposlanstva i konzulati u Rusiji i Bjelorusiji prestali su izdavati turističke vize sve dok se napad na Ukrajinu ne obustavi.

Mnogi od novih ruskih migranata su zapravo političke izbjeglice, zaprepaštene agresijom svoje vlade protiv koje ne mogu prosvjedovati, a da ne ugroze sebe i svoje obitelji. Čak i izvan Rusije nisu se svi osjećali sigurnima od duge ruke Kremlja. Postoje navodni primjeri da je Gruzija odbijala istaknute ruske oporbenjake.

David A Merkel, suradnik na Međunarodnom institutu za strateške studije ("think tank" specijaliziran za Europu, Kavkaz i središnju Aziju), kaže: “Zanimljivo je da nije samo elita ta koja odlazi iz zemlje u zapadnu i srednju Europu. Imate srednju klasu koja bježi iz Rusije i odlazi u Armeniju, Gruziju, Azerbajdžan te također u Kazahstan i drugdje u središnjoj Aziji, i to u velikom broju. U Kazahstanu otvaraju bankovne račune, ne samo zato što i dalje primaju rublju, već i zato jer su zabrinuti da će njihov novac ostati zarobljen u Rusiji.” Rublja je u posljednja tri tjedna izgubila gotovo polovicu svoje vrijednosti u odnosu na dolar.

Mnogi Rusi iz srednje klase više ne vide budućnost u svojoj domovini, smatra Merkel. "To nije samo ekonomska odluka", rekao je. "Oni sada odlaze i zbog pojačanog ugnjetavanja u Moskvi, povećane izolacije i straha da će biti zarobljeni."

Za neke druge, međutim, samonametnuto izgnanstvo slijedi tvrdoglavu komercijalnu logiku. Mnoge ruske tvrtke sa zapadnim klijentima pokušavaju zaobići sankcije premještanjem osoblja u inozemstvo. Armenija i Gruzija su povoljna odredišta, bez viza za Ruse koji su radili s tehnološkim tvrtkama, a sada žele nastaviti prodavati svoje usluge Zapadu. Neke međunarodne tvrtke aktivno pokušavaju preseliti svoje ruske zaposlenike iz zemlje.

Rusen, ruski istraživački institut u Ankari, iznosi podatak da je više od 10.000 Rusa već preselilo u Tursku od početka invazije, a tisuće su još na putu. Zemlja je popularno odredište za odmor ruske srednje klase, od kojih neki već posjeduju nekretnine u ljetovalištima na obali, kao što je Antalya.

Mnogi Rusi koji stižu u Tursku su dobrostojeći, sredovječni roditelji koji pokušavaju izvući svoje sinove kako ne bi bili regrutirani i raspoređeni na bojišnicu u Ukrajini. "Njihov najveći strah je da ruska vlada može zatvoriti granice kako bi oni ostali u Rusiji", rekao je glasnogovornik Rusena.

Deseci tisuća Rusa napustili su svoju zemlju otkako je napala Ukrajinu 24. veljače, nastojeći izbjeći sve jaču represiju i ekonomski kolaps izazvan zapadnim sankcijama – javlja "The Times".

To nisu samo oligarhijske elite; većina ih je iz obrazovane srednje klase i raznih uslužnih djelatnosti. Mnogi se nemaju namjeru vratiti. Jedan analitičar kaže da ovaj egzodus predstavlja pravi "odljev mozgova".

Najmanje 25.000 Rusa otišlo je u Gruziju od početka rata, a 80.000 navodno se preselilo u Armeniju. Podaci koje su vlasti i istraživači u okolnim zemljama dali "The Timesu" pokazuju da ih je najmanje 12.000 ušlo u Estoniju, a više od 10.000 se preselilo u Tursku.
