Bjeloruska policija u ponedjeljak se sukobila s prosvjednicima u Minsku drugu večer zaredom, nakon što je predsjednik Aleksander Lukašenko premoćno pobijedio na spornim izborima za koje Zapad kaže da su obilježeni ozbiljnim nepravilnostima.
Policija je viđena kako izvlači prosvjednike iz gomile i tuče ih palicama. Privedeno je više od 30 ljudi, prenose svjedoci.
U isto vrijeme bjeloruska sigurnosna agencija je objavila da je spriječila pokušaj ubojstva Lukašenkove glavne protivnice Svetalne Tihanovskaje, prenosi televizija ONT.
Ona je u ponedjeljak rekla kako se neće pridružiti prosvjednicima kako vlasti to ne bi iskoristile taj potez da ju uhite, no da traži od Lukašenka, koji vlada od 1994., da odstupi s dužnosti, piše agencija France Presse.
Tihanovskaja se proteklih tjedana pretvorila u neočekivanog rivala Lukašenku, a izbore u nedjelju, na kojima je dugovječni čelnik osvojio šesti uzastopni mandat s 80 posto glasova, proglasila je falsificiranima.
Ta 37-godišnja bivša učiteljica engleskog jezika, domaćica bez političkog iskustva, na izborima je prema službenim rezultatima osvojila 10 posto glasova ali je poručila kako se smatra pobjednicom.
Neovisna istraživanja pokazuju da je Tihanovskaja dobila 71 posto glasova, dok je Lukašenko dobio samo 10 posto.
Režim je nakon gušenja prosvjeda s noći na ponedjeljak optužila da se „održava silom“.
Tihanovskaja se u vrijeme izbora skrivala, nakon što su vlasti uhitili devetero članova njezine kampanje, a svoje dvoje djece je već ranije iz sigurnosnih razloga poslala u inozemstvo, piše BBC.
U političku utrku je ušla nakon što je kandidatura zabranjena njezinom suprugu, videoblogeru koji je diljem Bjelorusije snimao nezadovoljstvo stanovnika, od poljoprivrednika do umirovljenika.
Vlasti u Minsku ranije su zabranile kandidaturu i bivšem bankaru Viktoru Babariku, kao i bivšem diplomatu Valeriju Tsepkalu, iako su obojica prikupila potrebnih 100 tisuća potpisa.
Ruski predsjednik Vladimir Putin čestitao je Lukašenku na pobjedi, a poruke podrške poslali su i čelnici Kine, Kazahstana, Uzbekistana, Moldavije, Azerbajdžana i Venezuele, piše BBC.
S druge strane, predsjednica Europske komisije osudila je represiju prosvjeda i pozvala na objavu „točnih“ rezultata izbora, prenosi agencija France presse.
„Nasilnoj represiji prosvjeda nije mjesto u Europi. Pozivam bjeloruske vlasti da osiguraju da su glasovi izbora u nedjelju prebrojani i točno objavljeni“.
Šef diplomacije EU-a Josep Borrell također je osudio „nesrazmjerno i neprihvatljivo nasilje policije nad mirnim prosvjedima“.
Bijela kuća rekla je da je "jako zabrinuta" ponovnim izborom Lukašenka. "Pozivamo bjelorusku vladu da poštuje pravo mirnog okupljanja i da se suzdrži od korištenja sile", rekao je na konferenciji za novinare glasnogovornik Kayleigh McEnany.
Njemačka vlada je objavila kako ima „ozbiljne sumnje“ oko izbora i da na njima nisu zadovoljeni minimalni standardi. Berlin je osudio i „ograničavanje pristupa internetu“ na bjeloruskom teritoriju u vrijeme izbora.
Službeni Pariz pozvao je vlasti u Minsku na „najveću suzdržanost“ i „potpunu i transparentnu objavu rezultata“, dok je Poljska pozvala na izvanredni EU sastanak na vrhu povodom eskalacije situacije u sebi susjednoj državi, piše BBC.
London je ukazao na "ozbiljne nepravilnosti" na izborima.
"Velika Britanija poziva Bjelorusiju da se suzdrži od novih činova nasilja posle predsjedničkih izbora obilježenih ozbiljnim nepravilnostima", stoji na Twitteru ministarstva vanjskih poslova.
Ono je ocijenilo "potpuno neprihvatljivim" nasilje i pokušaje bjeloruskih vlasti da uguše demonstracije.

Bjeloruska policija u ponedjeljak se sukobila s prosvjednicima u Minsku drugu večer zaredom, nakon što je predsjednik Aleksander Lukašenko premoćno pobijedio na spornim izborima za koje Zapad kaže da su obilježeni ozbiljnim nepravilnostima.
Policija je viđena kako izvlači prosvjednike iz gomile i tuče ih palicama. Privedeno je više od 30 ljudi, prenose svjedoci.
U isto vrijeme bjeloruska sigurnosna agencija je objavila da je spriječila pokušaj ubojstva Lukašenkove glavne protivnice Svetalne Tihanovskaje, prenosi televizija ONT.
Ona je u ponedjeljak rekla kako se neće pridružiti prosvjednicima kako vlasti to ne bi iskoristile taj potez da ju uhite, no da traži od Lukašenka, koji vlada od 1994., da odstupi s dužnosti, piše agencija France Presse.
Tihanovskaja se proteklih tjedana pretvorila u neočekivanog rivala Lukašenku, a izbore u nedjelju, na kojima je dugovječni čelnik osvojio šesti uzastopni mandat s 80 posto glasova, proglasila je falsificiranima.
Ta 37-godišnja bivša učiteljica engleskog jezika, domaćica bez političkog iskustva, na izborima je prema službenim rezultatima osvojila 10 posto glasova ali je poručila kako se smatra pobjednicom.
Neovisna istraživanja pokazuju da je Tihanovskaja dobila 71 posto glasova, dok je Lukašenko dobio samo 10 posto.
Režim je nakon gušenja prosvjeda s noći na ponedjeljak optužila da se „održava silom“.
Tihanovskaja se u vrijeme izbora skrivala, nakon što su vlasti uhitili devetero članova njezine kampanje, a svoje dvoje djece je već ranije iz sigurnosnih razloga poslala u inozemstvo, piše BBC.
U političku utrku je ušla nakon što je kandidatura zabranjena njezinom suprugu, videoblogeru koji je diljem Bjelorusije snimao nezadovoljstvo stanovnika, od poljoprivrednika do umirovljenika.
Vlasti u Minsku ranije su zabranile kandidaturu i bivšem bankaru Viktoru Babariku, kao i bivšem diplomatu Valeriju Tsepkalu, iako su obojica prikupila potrebnih 100 tisuća potpisa.
Ruski predsjednik Vladimir Putin čestitao je Lukašenku na pobjedi, a poruke podrške poslali su i čelnici Kine, Kazahstana, Uzbekistana, Moldavije, Azerbajdžana i Venezuele, piše BBC.
S druge strane, predsjednica Europske komisije osudila je represiju prosvjeda i pozvala na objavu „točnih“ rezultata izbora, prenosi agencija France presse.
„Nasilnoj represiji prosvjeda nije mjesto u Europi. Pozivam bjeloruske vlasti da osiguraju da su glasovi izbora u nedjelju prebrojani i točno objavljeni“.
Šef diplomacije EU-a Josep Borrell također je osudio „nesrazmjerno i neprihvatljivo nasilje policije nad mirnim prosvjedima“.
Bijela kuća rekla je da je "jako zabrinuta" ponovnim izborom Lukašenka. "Pozivamo bjelorusku vladu da poštuje pravo mirnog okupljanja i da se suzdrži od korištenja sile", rekao je na konferenciji za novinare glasnogovornik Kayleigh McEnany.
Njemačka vlada je objavila kako ima „ozbiljne sumnje“ oko izbora i da na njima nisu zadovoljeni minimalni standardi. Berlin je osudio i „ograničavanje pristupa internetu“ na bjeloruskom teritoriju u vrijeme izbora.
Službeni Pariz pozvao je vlasti u Minsku na „najveću suzdržanost“ i „potpunu i transparentnu objavu rezultata“, dok je Poljska pozvala na izvanredni EU sastanak na vrhu povodom eskalacije situacije u sebi susjednoj državi, piše BBC.
London je ukazao na "ozbiljne nepravilnosti" na izborima.
"Velika Britanija poziva Bjelorusiju da se suzdrži od novih činova nasilja posle predsjedničkih izbora obilježenih ozbiljnim nepravilnostima", stoji na Twitteru ministarstva vanjskih poslova.
Ono je ocijenilo "potpuno neprihvatljivim" nasilje i pokušaje bjeloruskih vlasti da uguše demonstracije.
