U travnju 1912. godine, svijet je svjedočio jednoj od najvećih pomorskih tragedija u povijesti, potonuću giganta među brodovima, Titanicu. Ovom luksuznom i tehnički najnaprednijem brodu svog vremena, koji se smatrao nepotopivim, presudila je santa leda na Atlantiku. Prije točno 112 godina, na ovaj dan, Titanic je sa sobom ponio preko 1500 života, a njegova olupina još leži na morskom dnu.

Pomoću nove tehnologije, Titanic sada prima nove goste, ali digitalno - piše Daily Mail, prenosi Jutarnji list. Naime, američki animator Jared Owen postavio je na platformi YouTube digitalni prikaz broda iz svakog kuta, točno onako kako je izgledao prije nego što je isplovio iz Southamptona prije 112 godina.

- Ovo je sve dizajnirano rukom, za mene je to nevjerojatno inženjerstvo i majstorstvo - kazao je Owen.

Pri izradi prikaza, Owen se služio brojnim izvorima, uključujući National Geographic, „Titanic” izdanjem serije knjiga Haynes Manual, a nakon toga se oslonio na program za stvaranje 3D sadržaja kako bi oživio sve prikupljene informacije.

Njegov video prikazuje svih 10 Titanikovih paluba, uključujući i palubu čamaca na samom vrhu. Dio razloga manjka čamaca za spašavanje bio je i to što dizajneri nisu htjeli pretrpati palubu broda i time zakloniti pogled na Atlantik putnicima prve klase.

Owen također otkriva neke tajne dizajna broda, uključujući malo poznatu činjenicu o četvrtom i posljednjem kultnom lijevku s crnim vrhom.

- Koristila su se samo tri lijevka, četvrti je dodan samo radi izgleda - kazao je Owen.

Još jedna zanimljiva činjenica je ta da su na Titanicu zapravo postojala dva velika stubišta, oba ograničena samo na putnike prve klase. Daleko veće i velebnije od njih dvoje bilo je prednje veliko stubište, koje je krasila zidna ploča od rezbarenog hrasta sa satom u sredini, također mjesto gdje se Jack i Rose susreću u filmskom hitu Jamesa Camerona iz 1997. godine.

Ovaj brod krasili su razni luksuzi, kao što su teretana, tereni za squash, turska kupelj, gimnastička dvorana te prvi ikad bazen na brodu.

Titanic je bio „Kraljevski poštanski parobrod”, što znači da ga je britanska monarhija legalno naručila za prijevoz pisama i paketa. Prema podacima Nacionalnog poštanskog muzeja Smithsonian, na brodu je bilo između šest i devet milijuna predmeta namijenjenih New Yorku.

Sva Titanicova pošta izgubljena je kada je brod potonuo oko 2:20 ujutro, dva sata i 40 minuta nakon udara u santu leda.

Video bi mogao biti koristan australskom milijarderu Cliveu Palmeru, koji je obećao rekreirati slavni brod po procijenjenoj cijeni od milijardu funti. „Titanic II”, koji bi trebao biti spreman za plovidbu do 2027., oponašat će specifikacije izvornog broda, uključujući moderne navigacijske i sigurnosne sustave.

Titanikovi ostaci sada leže na morskom dnu oko 350 nautičkih milja od obale Newfoundlanda u Kanadi. Međutim, ova osjetljiva olupina tako brzo propada pod vodom da bi mogla potpuno nestati u sljedećih 40 godina.

U travnju 1912. godine, svijet je svjedočio jednoj od najvećih pomorskih tragedija u povijesti, potonuću giganta među brodovima, Titanicu. Ovom luksuznom i tehnički najnaprednijem brodu svog vremena, koji se smatrao nepotopivim, presudila je santa leda na Atlantiku. Prije točno 112 godina, na ovaj dan, Titanic je sa sobom ponio preko 1500 života, a njegova olupina još leži na morskom dnu.

Pomoću nove tehnologije, Titanic sada prima nove goste, ali digitalno - piše Daily Mail, prenosi Jutarnji list. Naime, američki animator Jared Owen postavio je na platformi YouTube digitalni prikaz broda iz svakog kuta, točno onako kako je izgledao prije nego što je isplovio iz Southamptona prije 112 godina.

- Ovo je sve dizajnirano rukom, za mene je to nevjerojatno inženjerstvo i majstorstvo - kazao je Owen.

Pri izradi prikaza, Owen se služio brojnim izvorima, uključujući National Geographic, „Titanic” izdanjem serije knjiga Haynes Manual, a nakon toga se oslonio na program za stvaranje 3D sadržaja kako bi oživio sve prikupljene informacije.

Njegov video prikazuje svih 10 Titanikovih paluba, uključujući i palubu čamaca na samom vrhu. Dio razloga manjka čamaca za spašavanje bio je i to što dizajneri nisu htjeli pretrpati palubu broda i time zakloniti pogled na Atlantik putnicima prve klase.

Owen također otkriva neke tajne dizajna broda, uključujući malo poznatu činjenicu o četvrtom i posljednjem kultnom lijevku s crnim vrhom.

- Koristila su se samo tri lijevka, četvrti je dodan samo radi izgleda - kazao je Owen.

Još jedna zanimljiva činjenica je ta da su na Titanicu zapravo postojala dva velika stubišta, oba ograničena samo na putnike prve klase. Daleko veće i velebnije od njih dvoje bilo je prednje veliko stubište, koje je krasila zidna ploča od rezbarenog hrasta sa satom u sredini, također mjesto gdje se Jack i Rose susreću u filmskom hitu Jamesa Camerona iz 1997. godine.

Ovaj brod krasili su razni luksuzi, kao što su teretana, tereni za squash, turska kupelj, gimnastička dvorana te prvi ikad bazen na brodu.

Titanic je bio „Kraljevski poštanski parobrod”, što znači da ga je britanska monarhija legalno naručila za prijevoz pisama i paketa. Prema podacima Nacionalnog poštanskog muzeja Smithsonian, na brodu je bilo između šest i devet milijuna predmeta namijenjenih New Yorku.

Sva Titanicova pošta izgubljena je kada je brod potonuo oko 2:20 ujutro, dva sata i 40 minuta nakon udara u santu leda.

Video bi mogao biti koristan australskom milijarderu Cliveu Palmeru, koji je obećao rekreirati slavni brod po procijenjenoj cijeni od milijardu funti. „Titanic II”, koji bi trebao biti spreman za plovidbu do 2027., oponašat će specifikacije izvornog broda, uključujući moderne navigacijske i sigurnosne sustave.

Titanikovi ostaci sada leže na morskom dnu oko 350 nautičkih milja od obale Newfoundlanda u Kanadi. Međutim, ova osjetljiva olupina tako brzo propada pod vodom da bi mogla potpuno nestati u sljedećih 40 godina.
