Jedan od najsmrtonosnijih snajperista na svijetu trebao bi se pridružiti borbama u Ukrajini nakon što je odgovorio na poziv ukrajinskog predsjednika Volodimira Zelenskog koji je uputio apel stranim dragovoljcima da pomognu zemlji u borbi protiv ruskih okupatora.

Taj kanadski strijelac, poznat samo po svom nadimku 'Wali', dolazi iz elitne 22. kraljevske kanadske pukovnije i ima prethodno borbeno iskustvo iz sukoba u Kandaharu tijekom rata u Afganistanu između 2009. i 2011. godine, prenosi Daily Mail.

Nakon toga ovaj 40-godišnjak je 2015. samoinicijativno otputovao u Irak kako bi pomogao u borbi protiv snaga Islamske države Iraka i Levanta (ISIL). U lipnju 2017. godine jedan od njegovih suboraca je navodno ubio pripadnika ISIL-a s nevjerojatne udaljenosti od čak 3.450 metara.

Izvještaji su prenosili da je pripadnik 22. kraljevske kanadske pukovnije koristio pušku McMillan Tac-50 kako bi ubio pripadnika ISIL-a u svojevrsnom 'svjetskom rekordu, odnosno ubojitom hicu s najveće udaljenosti ikada.

Kao vatrogasac kad začuje zvonjavu uzbune

Ukrajinski predsjednik u subotu je uputio molbu i apelirao na pripadnike međunarodne zajednice oružanih snaga da krenu u istočnu Europu i pridruže se ratnim naporima.

'Walija', koji je kod kuće ostavio suprugu i jednogodišnjeg sina, kontaktirao je prijatelj koji pomaže u organiziranju 'neutralnih konvoja humanitarne pomoći' u okupiranoj regiji Donbas na jugoistoku Ukrajine.

Trenutak kada je odgovorio na poziv da se pridruži ukrajinskim dobrovoljačkim snagama opisao je kao kad "vatrogasac začuje zvonjavu uzbune".

Još prošlog tjedna 'Wali' je radio kao računalni programer u Kanadi. Sada se, pak, priprema za borbu protiv ruskih vojnika na lokaciji u Ukrajini gotovo 8.000 kilometara dalje.

"Prije tjedan dana još sam programirao. Sada vadim protutenkovske projektile iz skladišta za ubijanje ljudi... To je moja stvarnost trenutačno", rekao je Wali za CBC News.

Više od 20.000 ljudi iz 52 zemlje već se dobrovoljno prijavilo za borbu protiv ruskih okupatora u Ukrajini, gdje će služiti u novostvorenoj međunarodnoj legiji, rekao je tijekom prošlog vikenda ukrajinski ministar vanjskih poslova Dmitro Kuleba.

"Znam da je to grozno, ali ja kada u svojoj glavi vidim slike razaranja u Ukrajini, vidim svog sina koji je u opasnosti i koji pati", rekao je Kuleba.

Njegova supruga, čiji je identitet zaštićen iz sigurnosnih razloga, rekla je kako mu je nevoljko dopustila da ode te da bi ga zadržavanje kod kuće bilo 'kao da ga se strpa u zatvor'.

Stigao s trojicom kolega

'Wali' je dočekan zagrljajima lokalnog stanovništva nakon što je u petak 4. ožujka zajedno s trojicom bivših kanadskih vojnika stigao u Ukrajinu.

No, ulazeći dublje u srce Ukrajine i svjedočeći razaranju koje su počinile ruski vojnici i topnički udari, 'Wali' je rekao da se osjećao primoran djelovati.

"Želim im pomoći. Tako je jednostavno", kaže Wali. "Kad ugledam uništenu zgradu, vidim osobu u čijem je vlasništvu, koja gleda kako se njezin 'mirovinski fond' pretvara u dim. Moram pomoći jer ovdje ima ljudi koji su bombardirani samo zato što žele biti Europljani, a ne Rusi. Idem tamo iz humanitarnih razloga", rekao je ranije Wali.

Skupina veterana dragovoljaca trenutačno je smještena u napuštenu kuću i uskoro se planiraju povezati s ukrajinskim obrambenim snagama.

Ukrajina planira na terenu postaviti pričuvnu jedinicu od oko 10.000 obučenih časnika i više od 120.000 dragovoljaca za odbijanje ruskih snaga, prenosi Jutarnji.hr.

Jedan od najsmrtonosnijih snajperista na svijetu trebao bi se pridružiti borbama u Ukrajini nakon što je odgovorio na poziv ukrajinskog predsjednika Volodimira Zelenskog koji je uputio apel stranim dragovoljcima da pomognu zemlji u borbi protiv ruskih okupatora.

Taj kanadski strijelac, poznat samo po svom nadimku 'Wali', dolazi iz elitne 22. kraljevske kanadske pukovnije i ima prethodno borbeno iskustvo iz sukoba u Kandaharu tijekom rata u Afganistanu između 2009. i 2011. godine, prenosi Daily Mail.

Nakon toga ovaj 40-godišnjak je 2015. samoinicijativno otputovao u Irak kako bi pomogao u borbi protiv snaga Islamske države Iraka i Levanta (ISIL). U lipnju 2017. godine jedan od njegovih suboraca je navodno ubio pripadnika ISIL-a s nevjerojatne udaljenosti od čak 3.450 metara.

Izvještaji su prenosili da je pripadnik 22. kraljevske kanadske pukovnije koristio pušku McMillan Tac-50 kako bi ubio pripadnika ISIL-a u svojevrsnom 'svjetskom rekordu, odnosno ubojitom hicu s najveće udaljenosti ikada.

Ukrajinski predsjednik u subotu je uputio molbu i apelirao na pripadnike međunarodne zajednice oružanih snaga da krenu u istočnu Europu i pridruže se ratnim naporima.

'Walija', koji je kod kuće ostavio suprugu i jednogodišnjeg sina, kontaktirao je prijatelj koji pomaže u organiziranju 'neutralnih konvoja humanitarne pomoći' u okupiranoj regiji Donbas na jugoistoku Ukrajine.

Trenutak kada je odgovorio na poziv da se pridruži ukrajinskim dobrovoljačkim snagama opisao je kao kad "vatrogasac začuje zvonjavu uzbune".

Još prošlog tjedna 'Wali' je radio kao računalni programer u Kanadi. Sada se, pak, priprema za borbu protiv ruskih vojnika na lokaciji u Ukrajini gotovo 8.000 kilometara dalje.

"Prije tjedan dana još sam programirao. Sada vadim protutenkovske projektile iz skladišta za ubijanje ljudi... To je moja stvarnost trenutačno", rekao je Wali za CBC News.

Više od 20.000 ljudi iz 52 zemlje već se dobrovoljno prijavilo za borbu protiv ruskih okupatora u Ukrajini, gdje će služiti u novostvorenoj međunarodnoj legiji, rekao je tijekom prošlog vikenda ukrajinski ministar vanjskih poslova Dmitro Kuleba.

"Znam da je to grozno, ali ja kada u svojoj glavi vidim slike razaranja u Ukrajini, vidim svog sina koji je u opasnosti i koji pati", rekao je Kuleba.

Njegova supruga, čiji je identitet zaštićen iz sigurnosnih razloga, rekla je kako mu je nevoljko dopustila da ode te da bi ga zadržavanje kod kuće bilo 'kao da ga se strpa u zatvor'.

Stigao s trojicom kolega

'Wali' je dočekan zagrljajima lokalnog stanovništva nakon što je u petak 4. ožujka zajedno s trojicom bivših kanadskih vojnika stigao u Ukrajinu.

No, ulazeći dublje u srce Ukrajine i svjedočeći razaranju koje su počinile ruski vojnici i topnički udari, 'Wali' je rekao da se osjećao primoran djelovati.

"Želim im pomoći. Tako je jednostavno", kaže Wali. "Kad ugledam uništenu zgradu, vidim osobu u čijem je vlasništvu, koja gleda kako se njezin 'mirovinski fond' pretvara u dim. Moram pomoći jer ovdje ima ljudi koji su bombardirani samo zato što žele biti Europljani, a ne Rusi. Idem tamo iz humanitarnih razloga", rekao je ranije Wali.

Skupina veterana dragovoljaca trenutačno je smještena u napuštenu kuću i uskoro se planiraju povezati s ukrajinskim obrambenim snagama.

Ukrajina planira na terenu postaviti pričuvnu jedinicu od oko 10.000 obučenih časnika i više od 120.000 dragovoljaca za odbijanje ruskih snaga, prenosi Jutarnji.hr.

Jedan od najsmrtonosnijih snajperista na svijetu trebao bi se pridružiti borbama u Ukrajini nakon što je odgovorio na poziv ukrajinskog predsjednika Volodimira Zelenskog koji je uputio apel stranim dragovoljcima da pomognu zemlji u borbi protiv ruskih okupatora.

Taj kanadski strijelac, poznat samo po svom nadimku 'Wali', dolazi iz elitne 22. kraljevske kanadske pukovnije i ima prethodno borbeno iskustvo iz sukoba u Kandaharu tijekom rata u Afganistanu između 2009. i 2011. godine, prenosi Daily Mail.

Nakon toga ovaj 40-godišnjak je 2015. samoinicijativno otputovao u Irak kako bi pomogao u borbi protiv snaga Islamske države Iraka i Levanta (ISIL). U lipnju 2017. godine jedan od njegovih suboraca je navodno ubio pripadnika ISIL-a s nevjerojatne udaljenosti od čak 3.450 metara.
