U Hrvatskoj je aktualna slučaj izricanja kazne EOS Matrixu, tvrtki koja se bavi naplatom potraživanja, zbog niza povreda Opće uredbe o zaštiti podataka. Njima je Agencija za zaštitu osobnih podataka izrekla rekordnu novčanu kaznu u iznosu od 5,47 milijuna eura.
U Njemačkoj se dogodila velika krađa osobnih podataka. Hotelski lanac Motel One izvijestio je da su hakeri ukrali osobne podatke svih njihovih gostiju koji su koristili usluge hotela od 2016. godine. Prema istraživanju "Süddeutsche Zeitunga", na internetu su dostupni milijuni imena i podataka o putovanjima klijenata münhenske tvrtke Motel One.
Sukladno tome, set podataka, veličine gotovo šest terabajta, sadrži gotovo potpune popise noćenja iz proteklih godina. Mogu se pronaći i privatne adrese za naplatu u rasponu od sedam znamenki, datumi rođendana kupaca, podaci o internom poslovanju i neki brojevi mobitela zaposlenika, piše Fenix-magazin.
Gotovo svi ljudi koji su odsjeli u Motelu One od 2016. poimenično su navedeni. Podaci o noćenjima nalaze se prvenstveno na takozvanim "listama za hitne slučajeve", koje hoteli Motel One navodno obično izrađuju na dnevnoj bazi. Međutim, nejasno je zašto Motel One godinama pohranjuje ove podatke. Na pitanje "SZ-a", Motel One nije dao nikakve informacije o točnoj namjeni ili opsegu popisa. U skup podataka uključeni su i podaci o noćenjima osnivača i suvlasnika lanca hotela Dietera Müllera.

Hakerska skupina ALPHV preuzela je odgovornost za napad ransomwareom u pokušaju iznude novca od tvrtke. Na pitanje "SZ-a", lanac hotela je rekao da zajedno sa stručnjacima za IT sigurnost istražuju incident. Motel One prvi put je 30. rujna na X-u, nekadašnjem Twitteru, potvrdio da je bio meta hakerskog napada.
U svom prvom priopćenju Motel One je naglasio da su hakeri pristupili podacima o adresama klijenata, uključujući 150 podataka o kreditnim karticama ljudi koje je Motel One već osobno obavijestio. Iz hotelskog lanca su rekli da su podnijeli kaznenu prijavu i da rade "u bliskom kontaktu" s nadležnim tijelom za zaštitu podataka. Bavarski Državni ured za nadzor zaštite podataka kaže da za napad znaju već mjesec dana, piše Fenix-magazin.
Kakve će kazne izreći njemačka regulatorna tijela, tek će se vidjeti. Hakeri jesu preuzeli odgovornost, ali pod povećalom je prikupljanje tolike i takve količine podataka od lanca hotela, kao i njihovo očito neodgovarajuće čuvanje.

U Hrvatskoj je aktualna slučaj izricanja kazne EOS Matrixu, tvrtki koja se bavi naplatom potraživanja, zbog niza povreda Opće uredbe o zaštiti podataka. Njima je Agencija za zaštitu osobnih podataka izrekla rekordnu novčanu kaznu u iznosu od 5,47 milijuna eura.
U Njemačkoj se dogodila velika krađa osobnih podataka. Hotelski lanac Motel One izvijestio je da su hakeri ukrali osobne podatke svih njihovih gostiju koji su koristili usluge hotela od 2016. godine. Prema istraživanju "Süddeutsche Zeitunga", na internetu su dostupni milijuni imena i podataka o putovanjima klijenata münhenske tvrtke Motel One.
Sukladno tome, set podataka, veličine gotovo šest terabajta, sadrži gotovo potpune popise noćenja iz proteklih godina. Mogu se pronaći i privatne adrese za naplatu u rasponu od sedam znamenki, datumi rođendana kupaca, podaci o internom poslovanju i neki brojevi mobitela zaposlenika, piše Fenix-magazin.
Gotovo svi ljudi koji su odsjeli u Motelu One od 2016. poimenično su navedeni. Podaci o noćenjima nalaze se prvenstveno na takozvanim "listama za hitne slučajeve", koje hoteli Motel One navodno obično izrađuju na dnevnoj bazi. Međutim, nejasno je zašto Motel One godinama pohranjuje ove podatke. Na pitanje "SZ-a", Motel One nije dao nikakve informacije o točnoj namjeni ili opsegu popisa. U skup podataka uključeni su i podaci o noćenjima osnivača i suvlasnika lanca hotela Dietera Müllera.

Hakerska skupina ALPHV preuzela je odgovornost za napad ransomwareom u pokušaju iznude novca od tvrtke. Na pitanje "SZ-a", lanac hotela je rekao da zajedno sa stručnjacima za IT sigurnost istražuju incident. Motel One prvi put je 30. rujna na X-u, nekadašnjem Twitteru, potvrdio da je bio meta hakerskog napada.
U svom prvom priopćenju Motel One je naglasio da su hakeri pristupili podacima o adresama klijenata, uključujući 150 podataka o kreditnim karticama ljudi koje je Motel One već osobno obavijestio. Iz hotelskog lanca su rekli da su podnijeli kaznenu prijavu i da rade "u bliskom kontaktu" s nadležnim tijelom za zaštitu podataka. Bavarski Državni ured za nadzor zaštite podataka kaže da za napad znaju već mjesec dana, piše Fenix-magazin.
Kakve će kazne izreći njemačka regulatorna tijela, tek će se vidjeti. Hakeri jesu preuzeli odgovornost, ali pod povećalom je prikupljanje tolike i takve količine podataka od lanca hotela, kao i njihovo očito neodgovarajuće čuvanje.
