Došlo je do dramatičnog srozavanja slobode medija od početka pandemije diljem svijeta, objavili su Reporteri bez granica (RSF) u svom godišnjem izvješću u utorak u kojem je Hrvatska napredovala za tri mjesta iako se vlada i dalje petlja u javni medijski servis. 

Novi Svjetski indeks slobode medija, koji je procijenio situaciju u medijima u 180 zemalja, zaključio je da njih 73 posto ima ozbiljnih problema s medijskim slobodama.

U izvješću se navodi da su brojne zemlje koristile pandemiju koronavirusa "kao osnovu za blokiranje novinarima pristup informacijama, izvorima i izvještavanju s terena". 

Hrvatska na 56. mjestu 

Hrvatska se ove godine popela na 56. mjesto, što joj je najbolji plasman od 2013. godine. Lani je bila 59. Iako je napredovala, Hrvatska je na ljestvici i dalje u društvu zemalja poput Madagaskara, Bosne i Hercegovine i Nigera, a od zemalja EU-a lošije su jedino Poljska, Grčka i Mađarska. 

Hrvatski novinari koji istražuju korupciju, organizirani kriminal ili ratne zločine često su izloženi kampanjama maltretiranja, navodi se u izvješću. 

Kleveta je kriminalizirana, a vrijeđanje "Republike, njezinog amblema, nacionalne himne ili zastave" kažnjava se zatvorom do tri godine. "Ponižavajući" medijski sadržaj kriminaliziran je od 2013. godine. 

Ipak, nekoliko sudova presudilo je u korist novinara tijekom suđenja za klevetu 2020. No vlada se ne prestaje miješati u javni medijski servis HRT, dok uprava HRT-a nastavlja tužiti zaposlenike koji se žale na ovaj problem i otišla je toliko daleko da je podnijela tužbu protiv Hrvatskog novinarskog društva, piše RSF u godišnjem izvješću. 

U međuvremenu fizički napadi, uz prijetnje i cyber nasilje, nastavljaju biti glavni problem novinara, ali izostaje reakcija vlasti. 
Pandemija koronavirusa produbila je financijsku krizu u medijima, od kojih su mnogi smanjili plaće i prestali angažirati freelancere. 

Sindikat novinara pozvao je vladu da intervenira i pomogne freelancerima i neke ekonomske mjere donesene su na ljeto 2020., ali nisu svi mediji od toga profitirali, upozorava RSF. 

Srbija i Kosovo kao Kina

Sloboda medija u svijetu izrazito se srozala u Aziji, na Bliskom istoku i u Europi, navodi medijska grupa. 

Pandemija je uzrokovala porast represije u cijelom svijetu, upozorava RSF i ističe da su zemlje poput Kine, Venezuele, Srbije i Kosova uhićivale medijske djelatnike zbog praćenja izbijanja epidemije. 

U Kini je trenutačno više od 100 medijskih djelatnika u zatvoru, više nego i u jednoj drugoj zemlji. 

Samo 12 zemalja ocijenjene su "dobrima" kad su u pitanju medijske slobode, što je najmanji broj od početka ocjenjivanja. 
Skandinavske zemlje Norveška, Finska, Švedska i Danska su na vrhu popisa. 

Bilo je manje promjena među najniže rangiranima, među kojima su Kina, Turkmenistan, Sjeverna Koreja i Eritreja.

RSF je kritizirao što su mnoge vlade i čelnici širili dezinformacije o pandemiji poput bivšeg američkog predsjednika Donalda Trumpa, brazilskog predsjednika Jaira Bolsonara i predsjednika Venezuele Nicolasa Madura. 

"Novinarstvo je najbolje cjepivo protiv dezinformacija", priopćio je generalni direktor RSF-a Christophe Deloire. 

"Nažalost, njegovu proizvodnju i distribuciju prečesto blokiraju politički, ekonomski, tehnološki, a ponekad i kulturološki faktori."

Palo je i povjerenje javnosti u samo novinarstvo. RSF je objavio da je 59 posto anketiranih u 28 zemalja navelo da novinari "namjerno pokušavaju zavarati javnost objavljivanjem informacija za koje znaju da su lažne".

Došlo je do dramatičnog srozavanja slobode medija od početka pandemije diljem svijeta, objavili su Reporteri bez granica (RSF) u svom godišnjem izvješću u utorak u kojem je Hrvatska napredovala za tri mjesta iako se vlada i dalje petlja u javni medijski servis. 

Novi Svjetski indeks slobode medija, koji je procijenio situaciju u medijima u 180 zemalja, zaključio je da njih 73 posto ima ozbiljnih problema s medijskim slobodama.

U izvješću se navodi da su brojne zemlje koristile pandemiju koronavirusa "kao osnovu za blokiranje novinarima pristup informacijama, izvorima i izvještavanju s terena". 

Hrvatska na 56. mjestu 

Hrvatska se ove godine popela na 56. mjesto, što joj je najbolji plasman od 2013. godine. Lani je bila 59. Iako je napredovala, Hrvatska je na ljestvici i dalje u društvu zemalja poput Madagaskara, Bosne i Hercegovine i Nigera, a od zemalja EU-a lošije su jedino Poljska, Grčka i Mađarska. 

Hrvatski novinari koji istražuju korupciju, organizirani kriminal ili ratne zločine često su izloženi kampanjama maltretiranja, navodi se u izvješću. 

Kleveta je kriminalizirana, a vrijeđanje "Republike, njezinog amblema, nacionalne himne ili zastave" kažnjava se zatvorom do tri godine. "Ponižavajući" medijski sadržaj kriminaliziran je od 2013. godine. 

Ipak, nekoliko sudova presudilo je u korist novinara tijekom suđenja za klevetu 2020. No vlada se ne prestaje miješati u javni medijski servis HRT, dok uprava HRT-a nastavlja tužiti zaposlenike koji se žale na ovaj problem i otišla je toliko daleko da je podnijela tužbu protiv Hrvatskog novinarskog društva, piše RSF u godišnjem izvješću. 

U međuvremenu fizički napadi, uz prijetnje i cyber nasilje, nastavljaju biti glavni problem novinara, ali izostaje reakcija vlasti. 
Pandemija koronavirusa produbila je financijsku krizu u medijima, od kojih su mnogi smanjili plaće i prestali angažirati freelancere. 

Sindikat novinara pozvao je vladu da intervenira i pomogne freelancerima i neke ekonomske mjere donesene su na ljeto 2020., ali nisu svi mediji od toga profitirali, upozorava RSF. 

Srbija i Kosovo kao Kina

Sloboda medija u svijetu izrazito se srozala u Aziji, na Bliskom istoku i u Europi, navodi medijska grupa. 

Pandemija je uzrokovala porast represije u cijelom svijetu, upozorava RSF i ističe da su zemlje poput Kine, Venezuele, Srbije i Kosova uhićivale medijske djelatnike zbog praćenja izbijanja epidemije. 

U Kini je trenutačno više od 100 medijskih djelatnika u zatvoru, više nego i u jednoj drugoj zemlji. 

Samo 12 zemalja ocijenjene su "dobrima" kad su u pitanju medijske slobode, što je najmanji broj od početka ocjenjivanja. 
Skandinavske zemlje Norveška, Finska, Švedska i Danska su na vrhu popisa. 

Bilo je manje promjena među najniže rangiranima, među kojima su Kina, Turkmenistan, Sjeverna Koreja i Eritreja.

RSF je kritizirao što su mnoge vlade i čelnici širili dezinformacije o pandemiji poput bivšeg američkog predsjednika Donalda Trumpa, brazilskog predsjednika Jaira Bolsonara i predsjednika Venezuele Nicolasa Madura. 

"Novinarstvo je najbolje cjepivo protiv dezinformacija", priopćio je generalni direktor RSF-a Christophe Deloire. 

"Nažalost, njegovu proizvodnju i distribuciju prečesto blokiraju politički, ekonomski, tehnološki, a ponekad i kulturološki faktori."

Palo je i povjerenje javnosti u samo novinarstvo. RSF je objavio da je 59 posto anketiranih u 28 zemalja navelo da novinari "namjerno pokušavaju zavarati javnost objavljivanjem informacija za koje znaju da su lažne".

Došlo je do dramatičnog srozavanja slobode medija od početka pandemije diljem svijeta, objavili su Reporteri bez granica (RSF) u svom godišnjem izvješću u utorak u kojem je Hrvatska napredovala za tri mjesta iako se vlada i dalje petlja u javni medijski servis. 

Novi Svjetski indeks slobode medija, koji je procijenio situaciju u medijima u 180 zemalja, zaključio je da njih 73 posto ima ozbiljnih problema s medijskim slobodama.

U izvješću se navodi da su brojne zemlje koristile pandemiju koronavirusa "kao osnovu za blokiranje novinarima pristup informacijama, izvorima i izvještavanju s terena". 

Hrvatska na 56. mjestu
