Izvršni direktori avioprijevoznika spremaju se prizemljiti dio zrakoplova i smanjiti transportne kapacitete u jeku ljetne turističke sezone nakon upozorenja o problemima s nekim motorima tvrtke Pratt & Whitney.

Američki proizvođač motora trebat će do 60 dana za inspekciju i eventualne popravke minimalno 1.200 motora Geared Turbofan (GTF), ugrađenih u Airbusove zrakoplove A320neo budući da su u metalu u jezgri motora pronađeni mikroskopski sitni kontaminanti.

Pratt & Whitney član je američkog multinacionalnog konglomerata RTX koji proizvodi zrakoplovnu i vojnu opremu.

Većina zrakoplovnih kompanija nije javno komentirala problem kontaminacije motora, a više izvršnih direktora privatno je reklo da su šokirani. Jedan od njih izjavio je da je objava o kontaminaciji „ružno iznenađenje”.

Prijevoznici već muku muče s manjkom pilota, kontrolora zračnog prometa i novih zrakoplova, što im otežava dodavanje novih letova u raspored. Neki pokušavaju doskočiti tim problemima većim zrakoplovima koji mogu primiti više putnika.

Vlasnik proizvođača motora RTX priopćio je da pokušava pronaći rješenje koje će svesti negativne posljedice na minimum, ali prijevoznici na sjevernoj polutci već pokušavaju optimizirati resurse u ljetnoj turističkoj sezoni, najprofitabilnijem razdobljem za sektor.

Glavni su kupci Airbusovih zrakoplova tipa A320neo Spirit Airlines, JetBlue Airways, Hawaiian Airlines i Wizz Air, prema kompaniji za podatke u zrakoplovstvu Cirium. 

Upravo ti prijevoznici nemaju interne odjele za popravke i održavanje zrakoplova koje za njih obavljaju specijalizirane tvrtke. No, potražnja je za tim uslugama trenutno velikka, pa su u daleko većim problemima, objašnjava Addison Schonland iz konzultantske tvrtke AirInsight.

Mađarski Wizz Air priopćio je u srijedu da će problemi utjecati na 12 motora u njegovoj floti i smanjiti njegov kapacitet za „srednji jednoznamenkasti” postotak. No, snažna potražnja mogla bi rezultirati višim cijenama karata, pa će profitabilnost ostati netaknuta, dodali su.

Izvršni direktori avioprijevoznika spremaju se prizemljiti dio zrakoplova i smanjiti transportne kapacitete u jeku ljetne turističke sezone nakon upozorenja o problemima s nekim motorima tvrtke Pratt & Whitney.

Američki proizvođač motora trebat će do 60 dana za inspekciju i eventualne popravke minimalno 1.200 motora Geared Turbofan (GTF), ugrađenih u Airbusove zrakoplove A320neo budući da su u metalu u jezgri motora pronađeni mikroskopski sitni kontaminanti.

Pratt & Whitney član je američkog multinacionalnog konglomerata RTX koji proizvodi zrakoplovnu i vojnu opremu.

Većina zrakoplovnih kompanija nije javno komentirala problem kontaminacije motora, a više izvršnih direktora privatno je reklo da su šokirani. Jedan od njih izjavio je da je objava o kontaminaciji „ružno iznenađenje”.

Prijevoznici već muku muče s manjkom pilota, kontrolora zračnog prometa i novih zrakoplova, što im otežava dodavanje novih letova u raspored. Neki pokušavaju doskočiti tim problemima većim zrakoplovima koji mogu primiti više putnika.

Vlasnik proizvođača motora RTX priopćio je da pokušava pronaći rješenje koje će svesti negativne posljedice na minimum, ali prijevoznici na sjevernoj polutci već pokušavaju optimizirati resurse u ljetnoj turističkoj sezoni, najprofitabilnijem razdobljem za sektor.

Glavni su kupci Airbusovih zrakoplova tipa A320neo Spirit Airlines, JetBlue Airways, Hawaiian Airlines i Wizz Air, prema kompaniji za podatke u zrakoplovstvu Cirium. 

Upravo ti prijevoznici nemaju interne odjele za popravke i održavanje zrakoplova koje za njih obavljaju specijalizirane tvrtke. No, potražnja je za tim uslugama trenutno velikka, pa su u daleko većim problemima, objašnjava Addison Schonland iz konzultantske tvrtke AirInsight.

Izvršni direktori avioprijevoznika spremaju se prizemljiti dio zrakoplova i smanjiti transportne kapacitete u jeku ljetne turističke sezone nakon upozorenja o problemima s nekim motorima tvrtke Pratt & Whitney.

Američki proizvođač motora trebat će do 60 dana za inspekciju i eventualne popravke minimalno 1.200 motora Geared Turbofan (GTF), ugrađenih u Airbusove zrakoplove A320neo budući da su u metalu u jezgri motora pronađeni mikroskopski sitni kontaminanti.

Pratt & Whitney član je američkog multinacionalnog konglomerata RTX koji proizvodi zrakoplovnu i vojnu opremu.

Većina zrakoplovnih kompanija nije javno komentirala problem kontaminacije motora, a više izvršnih direktora privatno je reklo da su šokirani. Jedan od njih izjavio je da je objava o kontaminaciji „ružno iznenađenje”.

Prijevoznici već muku muče s manjkom pilota, kontrolora zračnog prometa i novih zrakoplova, što im otežava dodavanje novih letova u raspored. Neki pokušavaju doskočiti tim problemima većim zrakoplovima koji mogu primiti više putnika.

Vlasnik proizvođača motora RTX priopćio je da pokušava pronaći rješenje koje će svesti negativne posljedice na minimum, ali prijevoznici na sjevernoj polutci već pokušavaju optimizirati resurse u ljetnoj turističkoj sezoni, najprofitabilnijem razdobljem za sektor.

Glavni su kupci Airbusovih zrakoplova tipa A320neo Spirit Airlines, JetBlue Airways, Hawaiian Airlines i Wizz Air, prema kompaniji za podatke u zrakoplovstvu Cirium. 

Upravo ti prijevoznici nemaju interne odjele za popravke i održavanje zrakoplova koje za njih obavljaju specijalizirane tvrtke. No, potražnja je za tim uslugama trenutno velikka, pa su u daleko većim problemima, objašnjava Addison Schonland iz konzultantske tvrtke AirInsight.
