Novi austrijski ministar vanjskih poslova Michael Spindelegger najavio je u ponedjeljak da će se zauzeti za bilateralno rješenje graničnog spora između Hrvatske i Slovenije.

Uoči sastanka ministara vanjskih poslova Europske Unije u ponedjeljak u Bruxellesu, Spindelegger je izjavio da će na rubu susreta razgovarati o toj tebi sa svojim slovenskim kolegom Samuelom Žbogarom.

"Vjerujem da je ovdje potrebno ići za bilateralnim rješenjem i da se i Sloveniju mora podsjetiti kako je veliki interes Slovenije da susjedne zemlje po mogućnosti ubrzo budu u EU", rekao je šef austrijske diplomacije.

"Upravo slovensko predsjedanje (EU-om) trudilo se oko toga. Sad i Slovenija mora poštovati posljedice tih najava. Znam kako su teški granični sporovi, neće se odmah pojaviti rješenje na stolu. Jako ću se truditi djelovati u smislu ravnoteže", izjavio je Spindelegger.

Austrijski ministar vanjskih poslova podupire plan što ga je predložila Europska komisija, prema kojemu bi Hrvatska trebala 2009. završiti pristupne pregovore.

"Vjerujem da se trebaju postaviti ambiciozni ciljevi i datumi kako bi se nešto ostvarilo", rekao je.

"Jako se nadam da se do tada može sve završiti. Naprosto se ne smije prekinuti taj tijek u smjeru Europe i ne smiju nastajati blokade. Stoga pozdravljam to što je ipak postavljen vrlo ambiciozan cilj time što je kraj 2009. najavljen kao završetak pregovora s Hrvatskom", dodao je Spindelegger.

Novi austrijski ministar vanjskih poslova Michael Spindelegger najavio je u ponedjeljak da će se zauzeti za bilateralno rješenje graničnog spora između Hrvatske i Slovenije.

Uoči sastanka ministara vanjskih poslova Europske Unije u ponedjeljak u Bruxellesu, Spindelegger je izjavio da će na rubu susreta razgovarati o toj tebi sa svojim slovenskim kolegom Samuelom Žbogarom.

"Vjerujem da je ovdje potrebno ići za bilateralnim rješenjem i da se i Sloveniju mora podsjetiti kako je veliki interes Slovenije da susjedne zemlje po mogućnosti ubrzo budu u EU", rekao je šef austrijske diplomacije.

"Upravo slovensko predsjedanje (EU-om) trudilo se oko toga. Sad i Slovenija mora poštovati posljedice tih najava. Znam kako su teški granični sporovi, neće se odmah pojaviti rješenje na stolu. Jako ću se truditi djelovati u smislu ravnoteže", izjavio je Spindelegger.

Austrijski ministar vanjskih poslova podupire plan što ga je predložila Europska komisija, prema kojemu bi Hrvatska trebala 2009. završiti pristupne pregovore.

"Vjerujem da se trebaju postaviti ambiciozni ciljevi i datumi kako bi se nešto ostvarilo", rekao je.

"Jako se nadam da se do tada može sve završiti. Naprosto se ne smije prekinuti taj tijek u smjeru Europe i ne smiju nastajati blokade. Stoga pozdravljam to što je ipak postavljen vrlo ambiciozan cilj time što je kraj 2009. najavljen kao završetak pregovora s Hrvatskom", dodao je Spindelegger.
