Američki predsjednik Joe Biden, prva dama Jill Biden i oko 2000 obožavatelja u petak su u na južnom travnjaku Bijele kuće uživali u nastupu glazbene legende i aktivista Eltona Johna, koji je trenutno na dugoj oproštajnoj turneji po Sjedinjenim Državama, piše Jutarnji.hr.

Britanska superzvijezda je pod otvorenim nebom uz glasovirsku pratnju izvela hitove kao što su "Rocketman", "Your Song" i "Tiny Dancer", što je u jednom trenutku Bidena i rasplakalo.

"Kao i brojni drugi Amerikanci, naša obitelj voli njegovu glazbu", rekao je Biden predstavljajući pjevača.

"Može se reći da je glazba Eltona Johna promijenila naše živote", dodao je.

John, koji je odbio nastupiti na inauguraciji bivšeg predsjednika Donalda Trumpa, pristao je nastupiti za Bidene. On je jedna od nekolicine slavnih zvijezda koje su se nakon više godina izbivanja vratile u Bijelu kuću.

Njegov nastup bio je dio proslave u čast ljudima koje je Bijela kuća nazvala svakodnevnim herojima: medicinskim sestrama, djelatnicima hitne pomoći, učiteljima, LGBTQ+ zagovornicima i aktivistima, piše Jutarnji.hr.

John je kazao da je nastup u Bijeloj kući "šlag na torti" karijere tijekom koje je dobio priliku nastupiti u prekrasnim dvoranama diljem svijeta. U stankama između pjesama govorio je o svojoj borbi protiv HIV-a/AIDS-a i pohvalio bivšeg predsjednika Georgea W. Busha, republikanca, za napore koje je uložio u borbu protiv AIDS-a u Africi putem Programa hitnog plana predsjednika SAD-a za pomoć od AIDS-a (PEPFAR).

Inače, ni ova večer nije mogla proći bez neugodnosti koju je opet okupljenima servirao predsjednik SAD-a.

Naime, Biden je držao govor u sjedištu Nacionalne obrazovne udruge u Washingtonu, a onda ga u jednom trenutku pauzirao kako bi odao priznanje ženi u gomili za koju je rekao da ga je poznavala kada je imala 12 godina.

“Moraš me pozdraviti,” rekao je Biden. “Imamo dugu prošlost. Ona je imala 12 godina - ja sam imao 30. Ali svejedno, ova mi je žena pomogla da učinim jako puno.”

Biden nije pojasnio kako je poznavao tu ženu ili što je ona učinila da mu je pomogla, ali ta je primjedba uhvatila gledatelje nespremne, piše Washington Examiner.

Američki predsjednik Joe Biden, prva dama Jill Biden i oko 2000 obožavatelja u petak su u na južnom travnjaku Bijele kuće uživali u nastupu glazbene legende i aktivista Eltona Johna, koji je trenutno na dugoj oproštajnoj turneji po Sjedinjenim Državama, piše Jutarnji.hr.

Britanska superzvijezda je pod otvorenim nebom uz glasovirsku pratnju izvela hitove kao što su "Rocketman", "Your Song" i "Tiny Dancer", što je u jednom trenutku Bidena i rasplakalo.

"Kao i brojni drugi Amerikanci, naša obitelj voli njegovu glazbu", rekao je Biden predstavljajući pjevača.

"Može se reći da je glazba Eltona Johna promijenila naše živote", dodao je.

John, koji je odbio nastupiti na inauguraciji bivšeg predsjednika Donalda Trumpa, pristao je nastupiti za Bidene. On je jedna od nekolicine slavnih zvijezda koje su se nakon više godina izbivanja vratile u Bijelu kuću.

Njegov nastup bio je dio proslave u čast ljudima koje je Bijela kuća nazvala svakodnevnim herojima: medicinskim sestrama, djelatnicima hitne pomoći, učiteljima, LGBTQ+ zagovornicima i aktivistima, piše Jutarnji.hr.

John je kazao da je nastup u Bijeloj kući "šlag na torti" karijere tijekom koje je dobio priliku nastupiti u prekrasnim dvoranama diljem svijeta. U stankama između pjesama govorio je o svojoj borbi protiv HIV-a/AIDS-a i pohvalio bivšeg predsjednika Georgea W. Busha, republikanca, za napore koje je uložio u borbu protiv AIDS-a u Africi putem Programa hitnog plana predsjednika SAD-a za pomoć od AIDS-a (PEPFAR).

Inače, ni ova večer nije mogla proći bez neugodnosti koju je opet okupljenima servirao predsjednik SAD-a.

Naime, Biden je držao govor u sjedištu Nacionalne obrazovne udruge u Washingtonu, a onda ga u jednom trenutku pauzirao kako bi odao priznanje ženi u gomili za koju je rekao da ga je poznavala kada je imala 12 godina.

“Moraš me pozdraviti,” rekao je Biden. “Imamo dugu prošlost. Ona je imala 12 godina - ja sam imao 30. Ali svejedno, ova mi je žena pomogla da učinim jako puno.”

Biden nije pojasnio kako je poznavao tu ženu ili što je ona učinila da mu je pomogla, ali ta je primjedba uhvatila gledatelje nespremne, piše Washington Examiner.
