Adidas ima problema sa svojom Yeezy linijom nakon što je prekinuo suradnju s reperom i modnim dizajnerom Kanye Westom zbog njegova antisemitizma.

Njemačka je tvrtka još 9. veljače upozorila da očekuje ogromne gubitke ako ne bude mogla prodati svoje zalihe, a spominjalo se i doslovno spaljivanje tenisica, piše Washington Post, a prenosi N1.

Još u studenom su dužnosnici rekli da bi mogli nadoknaditi “veliku većinu” gubitaka rebrendiranjem prepoznatljivih tenisica koje se prodaju u maloprodaji po cijeni 200 do gotovo 600 dolara. Stručnjaci kažu da će odluka, za koju je Adidas rekao da je čeka još nekoliko mjeseci, biti posebno izazovna jer se tvrtka na svakom koraku suočava s etičkim i financijskim problemima.

Novopostavljeni CEO Bjørn Gulden signalizirao je ovog mjeseca da tvrtka možda neće prodati nijedan postojeći proizvod, koji su analitičari procijenili od 300 do 500 milijuna dolara. Tvrtka je rekla da bi ove godine mogla izgubiti čak 1,2 milijarde eura prihoda i 500 milijuna eura operativne dobiti ako ne uspije prenamijeniti robu.

Tvrtka je okončala svoju suradnju s reperom, koji se sada naziva Ye krajem listopada nakon niza kontroverzi koje su počele s njegovim pojavljivanjem u majici s natpisom “White Lives Matter” na svojoj reviji na Pariškom tjednu mode. Slavne osobe, politički čelnici i židovske organizacije osudili su umjetnika i prozvali Adidas koji je bio sporiji u reakciji od ostalih poslovnih partnera. Balenciaga, JPMorgan Chase i druge tvrtke prekinule su odnose s reperom tjednima ranije, a Gap je najavio da više neće dostavljati njegove proizvode.

Stručnjaci su uvjereni da će Yeezy tenisice s vremenom pronaći put do potrošača. Druga mogućnost je uništavanje cipela, praksa je to koja je još uvijek uobičajena u industriji unatoč etičkim i ekološkim problemima. Analitičari kažu da bi to bio najgori ishod.

Elizabeth Napier, docentica na Sveučilištu u Toledu, koja je proučavala kako modne tvrtke raspolažu neprodanim proizvodima, rekla je da bi najbolja opcija za Adidas bila da donira cipele za pomoć u katastrofama, kao što su napori u Turskoj i Siriji nakon potresa u veljači u kojem je poginulo više od 46.000 ljudi, prenosi N1.

Adidas ima problema sa svojom Yeezy linijom nakon što je prekinuo suradnju s reperom i modnim dizajnerom Kanye Westom zbog njegova antisemitizma.

Njemačka je tvrtka još 9. veljače upozorila da očekuje ogromne gubitke ako ne bude mogla prodati svoje zalihe, a spominjalo se i doslovno spaljivanje tenisica, piše Washington Post, a prenosi N1.

Još u studenom su dužnosnici rekli da bi mogli nadoknaditi “veliku većinu” gubitaka rebrendiranjem prepoznatljivih tenisica koje se prodaju u maloprodaji po cijeni 200 do gotovo 600 dolara. Stručnjaci kažu da će odluka, za koju je Adidas rekao da je čeka još nekoliko mjeseci, biti posebno izazovna jer se tvrtka na svakom koraku suočava s etičkim i financijskim problemima.

Novopostavljeni CEO Bjørn Gulden signalizirao je ovog mjeseca da tvrtka možda neće prodati nijedan postojeći proizvod, koji su analitičari procijenili od 300 do 500 milijuna dolara. Tvrtka je rekla da bi ove godine mogla izgubiti čak 1,2 milijarde eura prihoda i 500 milijuna eura operativne dobiti ako ne uspije prenamijeniti robu.

Tvrtka je okončala svoju suradnju s reperom, koji se sada naziva Ye krajem listopada nakon niza kontroverzi koje su počele s njegovim pojavljivanjem u majici s natpisom “White Lives Matter” na svojoj reviji na Pariškom tjednu mode. Nekoliko dana kasnije dao je antisemitske komentare na Instagramu i Twitteru, a zatim je udvostručio tu retoriku u podcastu i neemitiranom dijelu intervjua s voditeljem Fox Newsa Tuckerom Carlsonom.

Slavne osobe, politički čelnici i židovske organizacije osudili su umjetnika i prozvali Adidas koji je bio sporiji u reakciji od ostalih poslovnih partnera. Balenciaga, JPMorgan Chase i druge tvrtke prekinule su odnose s reperom tjednima ranije, a Gap je najavio da više neće dostavljati njegove proizvode.

Stručnjaci su uvjereni da će Yeezy tenisice s vremenom pronaći put do potrošača. Druga mogućnost je uništavanje cipela, praksa je to koja je još uvijek uobičajena u industriji unatoč etičkim i ekološkim problemima. Analitičari kažu da bi to bio najgori ishod.

Elizabeth Napier, docentica na Sveučilištu u Toledu, koja je proučavala kako modne tvrtke raspolažu neprodanim proizvodima, rekla je da bi najbolja opcija za Adidas bila da donira cipele za pomoć u katastrofama, kao što su napori u Turskoj i Siriji nakon potresa u veljači u kojem je poginulo više od 46.000 ljudi, prenosi N1.
