Bivši pripadnik vosjke bosanskih Srba Mićo Praštalo koji je uz ostalo optužen za sudjelovanje u stravičnom pokolju Hrvata u selu Briševo u okolici Prijedora, počinio je samoubojstvo, prenijeli su u četvrtak lokalni mediji u Bosni i Hercegovini.

Glasnogovornica policije Unsko-sanske županije Snežana Galić potvrdila je za portal Faktor kako su policajci nakon prijave Praštala (74) pronašli u srijedu mrtvog, u automobilu zaustavljenom na jednoj lokalnoj cesti kod mjesta Lušci Palanka.

"Tragovi ukazuju na to da se radi o samoubojstvu počinjenom iz vatrenog oružja", kazala je Galić.

Praštalo je počinio samoubojstvo upravo dok mu se pred Sudom BiH sudilo po optužnici za ratne zločine počinjene na području Bosanske krajine 1992. godine.

On je tada bio na dužnosti zapovjednika jedne bojne iz sastava vojske bosanskih Srba koja je bila uključena u operacije masovnih etničkih progona nesrpskog staniovništva s područja općina Sanski Most i Ključ.

Optužnica je obuhvatila i zločin u selu Briševo, kada su u srpnju 1992. godine to selo opkolile srpske snage, stanovnike prisilile na predaju, a potom su ubili najmanje 67 mještana hrvatske nacionalnosti, uključujući žene i djecu, te porušili i zapalili sve kuće i crkvu.

Bilo je to najveće stradanje Hrvata u jednom danu tijekom cijelog rata u BiH.

Prema popisu stanovništva iz 1991. godine u Briševu je živjelo 370 Hrvata. Na popisu provedenom 2013. godine bilo ih je tek četiri.

Bivši pripadnik vosjke bosanskih Srba Mićo Praštalo koji je uz ostalo optužen za sudjelovanje u stravičnom pokolju Hrvata u selu Briševo u okolici Prijedora, počinio je samoubojstvo, prenijeli su u četvrtak lokalni mediji u Bosni i Hercegovini.

Glasnogovornica policije Unsko-sanske županije Snežana Galić potvrdila je za portal Faktor kako su policajci nakon prijave Praštala (74) pronašli u srijedu mrtvog, u automobilu zaustavljenom na jednoj lokalnoj cesti kod mjesta Lušci Palanka.

"Tragovi ukazuju na to da se radi o samoubojstvu počinjenom iz vatrenog oružja", kazala je Galić.

Praštalo je počinio samoubojstvo upravo dok mu se pred Sudom BiH sudilo po optužnici za ratne zločine počinjene na području Bosanske krajine 1992. godine.

On je tada bio na dužnosti zapovjednika jedne bojne iz sastava vojske bosanskih Srba koja je bila uključena u operacije masovnih etničkih progona nesrpskog staniovništva s područja općina Sanski Most i Ključ.

Optužnica je obuhvatila i zločin u selu Briševo, kada su u srpnju 1992. godine to selo opkolile srpske snage, stanovnike prisilile na predaju, a potom su ubili najmanje 67 mještana hrvatske nacionalnosti, uključujući žene i djecu, te porušili i zapalili sve kuće i crkvu.

Bilo je to najveće stradanje Hrvata u jednom danu tijekom cijelog rata u BiH.

Prema popisu stanovništva iz 1991. godine u Briševu je živjelo 370 Hrvata. Na popisu provedenom 2013. godine bilo ih je tek četiri.
