Veleposlanik Gabor telefonski je nazvao župana Međimurske županije Matiju Posavca i prenio mu stajališta Vlade Republike Mađarske i predsjednika Vlade Viktora Orbana.

Kako ističu u Veleposlanstvu predsjednik mađarske Vlade nije u svom govoru spominjao ni Hrvatsku niti hrvatske regije, već su napisi u medijima izvađeni iz konteksta govora o odgovornosti svake Vlade prema nacionalnim manjinama, a posebice onima s dvojnim državljanstvom.

Također je istaknuto kako Republike Hrvatska i Mađarska nemaju otvorenih pitanja te se nadaju da se zbog ovoga neće narušiti odnosi dviju zemalja.

Župan Posavec je, primivši usmena stajališta mađarska Vlade, upoznao mađarskoga veleposlanika kako u Međimurju u ovom trenutku živi 66 Mađara, što je 0,05% ukupnog stanovništva, zbog čega nema argumenata kao ni opasnosti da je bilo koja skupina u Međimurju na bilo koji način ugrožena.

Međimurje i Međimurci su kroz tešku i burnu povijest dokazali gdje i kome pripadaju te je razumljiva osjetljivost na takvu vrstu izjava, napomenuo je Posavec zahvalivši veleposlaniku na adekvatnoj reakciji i pojašnjenju.

Međimurje je, iako su u njemu Hrvati uvijek bili apsolutna većina stanovništva, bilo pod mađarskom upravom do 1919. godine, kada je matici priključeno nakon vojnoga pohoda hrvatskih vojnih snaga pod zapovjedništvom Slavka Kvaternika.

Trianonskim ugovorom iz 1920. Mađarska je izgubila pravo na Međimurje, koje je još jednom okupirala tijekom 2. svjetskog rata.

Međimurski župan Matija Posavec danas se priopćenjem oglasio u vezi medijskih natpisa oko navodnih pretenzija Republike Mađarske na dijelove teritorija Republike Hrvatske, među kojima se spominjalo i Međimurje.

dvojnim državljanstvom, istaknuo je danas u telefonskom razgovoru s međimurskim županom Matijom Posavcem mađarski veleposlanik u Hrvatskoj Ivan Gabor.

Veleposlanik Gabor telefonski je nazvao župana Međimurske županije Matiju Posavca i prenio mu stajališta Vlade Republike Mađarske i predsjednika Vlade Viktora Orbana.

Kako ističu u Veleposlanstvu predsjednik mađarske Vlade nije u svom govoru spominjao ni Hrvatsku niti hrvatske regije, već su napisi u medijima izvađeni iz konteksta govora o odgovornosti svake Vlade prema nacionalnim manjinama, a posebice onima s dvojnim državljanstvom.

Također je istaknuto kako Republike Hrvatska i Mađarska nemaju otvorenih pitanja te se nadaju da se zbog ovoga neće narušiti odnosi dviju zemalja.

Župan Posavec je, primivši usmena stajališta mađarska Vlade, upoznao mađarskoga veleposlanika kako u Međimurju u ovom trenutku živi 66 Mađara, što je 0,05% ukupnog stanovništva, zbog čega nema argumenata kao ni opasnosti da je bilo koja skupina u Međimurju na bilo koji način ugrožena.

Međimurje i Međimurci su kroz tešku i burnu povijest dokazali gdje i kome pripadaju te je razumljiva osjetljivost na takvu vrstu izjava, napomenuo je Posavec zahvalivši veleposlaniku na adekvatnoj reakciji i pojašnjenju.

Međimurje je, iako su u njemu Hrvati uvijek bili apsolutna većina stanovništva, bilo pod mađarskom upravom do 1919. godine, kada je matici priključeno nakon vojnoga pohoda hrvatskih vojnih snaga pod zapovjedništvom Slavka Kvaternika.

Trianonskim ugovorom iz 1920. Mađarska je izgubila pravo na Međimurje, koje je još jednom okupirala tijekom 2. svjetskog rata.

Međimurski župan Matija Posavec danas se priopćenjem oglasio u vezi medijskih natpisa oko navodnih pretenzija Republike Mađarske na dijelove teritorija Republike Hrvatske, među kojima se spominjalo i Međimurje.
