Svečanom sjednicom Sabor je proslavio Dan neovisnosti, u znak sjećanja na 8. listopada 1991. kad je hrvatski parlament donio odluku o raskidu svih državnopravnih veza s ostalim republikama i pokrajinama bivše Jugoslavije.

Povijesna je sjednica prije 18 godina održana u podrumu Inine zgrade u Šubićevoj ulici, dan nakon što su zrakoplovi JNA bombardirali središte Zagreba i Banske dvore u kojima je bilo smješteno tadašnje državno vodstvo s predsjednikom Franjom Tuđmanom na čelu.

Potpredsjednik Sabora Vladimir Šeks predsjedao je sjednicom Sabora u Ininu podrumu. Šeks je istaknuo kako je ta odluka bila ključna za budućnost Hrvatske te da ni jedan narod u Europi nije svoju neovisnost proglasio potisnut u podrume opasnošću od neprijateljskog zrakoplovstva.

− Danas možemo biti ponosni jer je Hrvatska postigla više nego što smo mogli sanjati − ocijenio je Šeks. Sabor je dodijelio 30 znanstvenih nagrada za 2008. godinu.

Nagradu za životno djelo dobili su Zvonimir Maksić za prirodne znanosti, Marko Pećina za biomedicinske znanosti, Ivo Alfirević za tehničke znanosti, Vlado Puljiz na području društvenih znanosti, te Eduard Hercigonja na području humanističkih znanosti.

Nagrada za životno djelo sastoji se od povelje i nagrade od 80.000 kuna. Godišnju nagradu za znanost te godišnju nagradu za popularizaciju i promidžbu znanosti dobilo je 19 znanstvenika, a uz povelju su dobili i 30.000 kuna.

Uz njih, i šest je znanstvenih novaka primilo godišnje nagradu, a uz povelju su dobili 20.000 kuna.

Svečanom sjednicom Sabor je proslavio Dan neovisnosti, u znak sjećanja na 8. listopada 1991. kad je hrvatski parlament donio odluku o raskidu svih državnopravnih veza s ostalim republikama i pokrajinama bivše Jugoslavije.

Povijesna je sjednica prije 18 godina održana u podrumu Inine zgrade u Šubićevoj ulici, dan nakon što su zrakoplovi JNA bombardirali središte Zagreba i Banske dvore u kojima je bilo smješteno tadašnje državno vodstvo s predsjednikom Franjom Tuđmanom na čelu.

Potpredsjednik Sabora Vladimir Šeks predsjedao je sjednicom Sabora u Ininu podrumu. Šeks je istaknuo kako je ta odluka bila ključna za budućnost Hrvatske te da ni jedan narod u Europi nije svoju neovisnost proglasio potisnut u podrume opasnošću od neprijateljskog zrakoplovstva.

− Danas možemo biti ponosni jer je Hrvatska postigla više nego što smo mogli sanjati − ocijenio je Šeks. Sabor je dodijelio 30 znanstvenih nagrada za 2008. godinu.

Nagradu za životno djelo dobili su Zvonimir Maksić za prirodne znanosti, Marko Pećina za biomedicinske znanosti, Ivo Alfirević za tehničke znanosti, Vlado Puljiz na području društvenih znanosti, te Eduard Hercigonja na području humanističkih znanosti.

Nagrada za životno djelo sastoji se od povelje i nagrade od 80.000 kuna. Godišnju nagradu za znanost te godišnju nagradu za popularizaciju i promidžbu znanosti dobilo je 19 znanstvenika, a uz povelju su dobili i 30.000 kuna.

Uz njih, i šest je znanstvenih novaka primilo godišnje nagradu, a uz povelju su dobili 20.000 kuna.
