Kad nemaš plemeniti cilj niti opravdanje za rat ne možeš pobijediti, poručeno je u ponedjeljak iz Borova, prijeratnog Borova Sela, gdje je komemorativnim skupom obilježena 31. obljetnica ubojstva dvanaestorice hrvatskih redarstvenika koje su 1991. ubili i masakrirali pripadnici srpske paravojske.

Vijence podno spomen obilježja u središtu Borova u spomen na ubijene pripadnike specijalne policije iz Vinkovaca položili su članovi njihovih obitelji, rodbine i suborci, brojne braniteljske i stradalničke udruge te državna i druga izaslanstva.

U ime predsjednika Hrvatskog sabora počast dvanaestorici redarstvenika odalo je izaslanstvo predvođeno zastupnikom Josipom Šarićem, Vladino izaslanstvo predvodio je njezin potpredsjednik i ministar unutarnjih poslova Davor Božinović, a u njemu je sudjelovao i ministar obrane Mario Banožić 

"Akcija, zasjeda, mučko ubojstvo hrvatskih redarstvenika ovdje u Borovu Selu skinula je sve krinke sa namjere agresora velikosrpske politike koji nije prezao niti pred najtežim oblicima zločina nad pripadnicima hrvatske policije da bi uspio u svome naumu. Međutim, kada nemaš plemeniti cilj niti opravdanje za rat, ne možeš pobijediti", poručio je Božinović.

Ministar Banožić istaknuo je kako je tragedija koja se dogodila u Borovu Selu nagovijestila što hrvatski narod čeka u budućnosti ne bude li poslušan.

"Događaj je bio tragičan za Vinkovce i okolicu te pokazao na koji ćemo se način morati braniti. Ovo je i poruka svim mladim naraštajima o tome što se taj dan dogodilo ovdje, kao i u svim onim trenucima poslije kada se razmišljalo o Borovo Selu", kazao je i dodao da se na primjeru ovog masakra redarstvenika na najbolji način može učiti kako se stvarala hrvatska država.

Nakon polaganja vijenaca i paljenja svijeća te prigodne komemorativne svečanosti, tijekom koje su pročitana imena ubijenih policajaca, u vinkovačkoj Župnoj crkvi sv. Euzebija i Poliona služena je misa zadušnica, a ulicama Vinkovaca trčana je atletska utrka "12 kilometara za 12 redarstvenika". Sudionici obilježavanja do središta Borova došli su u mimohodu udruge specijalne policije iz Domovinskog rata "Krpelj" iz Vinkovaca.

Policajci Stjepan Bošnjak (1955.), Antun Grbavac (1961.), Josip Culej (1966.), Mladen Šarić (1965.), Zdenko Perica (1965.), Zoran Grašić (1969.), Ivica Vučić (1961.), Luka Crnković (1970.), Marinko Petrušić (1966.), Janko Čović (1965.), Željko Hrala (1968.) i Mladen Čatić (1971.) ubijeni su iz zasjede nakon što su u noći s 1. na 2. svibnja 1991. dvojicu njihovih kolega, Zvonimira Matkovića i Dalibora Križanovića, tijekom redovite ophodnje, u Borovu zarobili pripadnici srpskih paravojnih postrojbi. U napadu su i ranjena 23 policajca.

Kad nemaš plemeniti cilj niti opravdanje za rat ne možeš pobijediti, poručeno je u ponedjeljak iz Borova, prijeratnog Borova Sela, gdje je komemorativnim skupom obilježena 31. obljetnica ubojstva dvanaestorice hrvatskih redarstvenika koje su 1991. ubili i masakrirali pripadnici srpske paravojske.

Vijence podno spomen obilježja u središtu Borova u spomen na ubijene pripadnike specijalne policije iz Vinkovaca položili su članovi njihovih obitelji, rodbine i suborci, brojne braniteljske i stradalničke udruge te državna i druga izaslanstva.

U ime predsjednika Hrvatskog sabora počast dvanaestorici redarstvenika odalo je izaslanstvo predvođeno zastupnikom Josipom Šarićem, Vladino izaslanstvo predvodio je njezin potpredsjednik i ministar unutarnjih poslova Davor Božinović, a u njemu je sudjelovao i ministar obrane Mario Banožić 

"Akcija, zasjeda, mučko ubojstvo hrvatskih redarstvenika ovdje u Borovu Selu skinula je sve krinke sa namjere agresora velikosrpske politike koji nije prezao niti pred najtežim oblicima zločina nad pripadnicima hrvatske policije da bi uspio u svome naumu. Međutim, kada nemaš plemeniti cilj niti opravdanje za rat, ne možeš pobijediti", poručio je Božinović.

Ministar Banožić istaknuo je kako je tragedija koja se dogodila u Borovu Selu nagovijestila što hrvatski narod čeka u budućnosti ne bude li poslušan.

"Događaj je bio tragičan za Vinkovce i okolicu te pokazao na koji ćemo se način morati braniti. Ovo je i poruka svim mladim naraštajima o tome što se taj dan dogodilo ovdje, kao i u svim onim trenucima poslije kada se razmišljalo o Borovo Selu", kazao je i dodao da se na primjeru ovog masakra redarstvenika na najbolji način može učiti kako se stvarala hrvatska država.

Nakon polaganja vijenaca i paljenja svijeća te prigodne komemorativne svečanosti, tijekom koje su pročitana imena ubijenih policajaca, u vinkovačkoj Župnoj crkvi sv. Euzebija i Poliona služena je misa zadušnica, a ulicama Vinkovaca trčana je atletska utrka "12 kilometara za 12 redarstvenika". Sudionici obilježavanja do središta Borova došli su u mimohodu udruge specijalne policije iz Domovinskog rata "Krpelj" iz Vinkovaca.

Policajci Stjepan Bošnjak (1955.), Antun Grbavac (1961.), Josip Culej (1966.), Mladen Šarić (1965.), Zdenko Perica (1965.), Zoran Grašić (1969.), Ivica Vučić (1961.), Luka Crnković (1970.), Marinko Petrušić (1966.), Janko Čović (1965.), Željko Hrala (1968.) i Mladen Čatić (1971.) ubijeni su iz zasjede nakon što su u noći s 1. na 2. svibnja 1991. dvojicu njihovih kolega, Zvonimira Matkovića i Dalibora Križanovića, tijekom redovite ophodnje, u Borovu zarobili pripadnici srpskih paravojnih postrojbi. U napadu su i ranjena 23 policajca.

Kad nemaš plemeniti cilj niti opravdanje za rat ne možeš pobijediti, poručeno je u ponedjeljak iz Borova, prijeratnog Borova Sela, gdje je komemorativnim skupom obilježena 31. obljetnica ubojstva dvanaestorice hrvatskih redarstvenika koje su 1991. ubili i masakrirali pripadnici srpske paravojske.
