U Vukovaru se u nedjelju obilježava 31. godišnjica pogibije general-bojnika Blage Zadre i bojnika Alfreda Hilla.

Na trpinjskoj cesti kod Vukovara 16. listopada 1991. je poginuo jedan od najvećih heroja Domovinskog rata, Blago Zadro.

Zadro je rođen 31. ožujka 1944. u Donjim Mamićima, Ledinac kraj Gruda, a kao desetogodišnjak se doselio s obitelji u Borovo naselje. Početkom demokratskih promjena, aktivno se uključio u politički život te u organiziranje obrane pred velikosrpskom agresijom.

Po izbijanju krvave bitke za Vukovar zbog svojih izuzetnih organizacijskih sposobnosti i hrabrosti preuzima zapovijedanje obranom čitavog Borovog Naselja. Iako nije bio vojno školovan, kao zapovjednik 3. bojne legendarne 204. vukovarske brigade pokazao se izvrsnim organizatorom obrane Borovog Naselja.

Pod njegovim vodstvom na Trpinjskoj cesti, koja je zbog toga i prozvana "Groblje tenkova", zaustavljena je oklopna sila JNA i uništeno na desetke srpskih tenkova i oklopnih transportera. Bio je hrabar i odlučan, zapovjednik koji je u borbu kretao prvi.

- Ja sam Blago Zadro, radnik PU Vinkovci. Zahvaljujem se gospodinu načelniku što me poslao da budem na prvoj liniji u Borovu i da branim Hrvatsku na ovom području - rekao je heroj, nepunih 20-tak dana prije smrti.

Točno prije 31 godinu, agresori su prodrli tenkovima i fizički odvojili Borovo Naselje od Vukovara, a istodobno preko Vuke ušli u Lužac. Srpske su postrojbe prodrle u Vinogradsku ulicu i obrani došle s leđa. Blago je krenuo prema Vinogradskoj sa šestoricom suboraca. Hitno je pozvao i Turbo vod kojim je zapovijedao njegov sin Robert.

Do Zadre, nažalost, nije došla informacija da su Srbi ušli u Vinogradsku s pješadijom i tenkovima, pa je krenuo Kupskom ulicom s ‘kalašnjikovim‘ u rukama. Ni slutio nije da su četnici postavili mitraljez na prugu i na nišanu držali cijelu Kupsku ulicu. Svi koji su prolazili Kupskom bili su zapravo na brisanom prostoru.

Blago Zadro, hrvatski heroj, ubijen je rafalom iz mitraljeza. Zajedno sa sinom Robertom, koji je poginuo 1992. kod Kupresa, pokopan je na vukovarskom Memorijalnom groblju žrtava iz Domovinskog rata, u Aleji hrvatskih branitelja. Podignut mu je spomenik na Trpinjskoj cesti u Vukovaru, a posmrtno je dobio čin general-bojnika.

Ime Blage Zadre nosi Zapovjedno stožerna škola Ministarstva obrane RH, osnovna škola u Borovu Naselju, te ulice u Grudama, Splitu i Zagrebu.

Inače, danas se u Vukovaru obilježava i 31. godišnjica pogibij bojnika Alfreda Hilla. Bojnik Alfred Hill u rodnom Vukovaru završio je osnovnu školu i gimnaziju. Pravni je fakultet završio u Zagrebu, no onda se vratio u svoj rodni kraj gdje se oženio i dobio kćer Stašu. Zaposlio se u Upravi šuma Osijek, u pravnom odjelu. Dana 10. svibnja 1991. godine ulazi u sastav pričuvnih snaga Zbora narodne garde Vukovar i sudjeluje od prvog dana u organiziranju obrane Vukovara.

Zapovjednik obrane grada Vukovara Mile Dedaković – Jastreb 25. rujna 1991. godine imenuje ga prvim zapovjednikom satnije Vojne policije Vukovar, 204. vukovarske brigade. Alfred Hill - Atila (borbeni nadimak) s najbližim suradnicima, iskusnim bojovnicima, formira satniju Vojne policije, preuzima sve zadaće iz djelokruga Vojne policije uz aktivno i neprekidno sudjelovanje u obrani opkoljenog Vukovara.

Posthumno mu je, 29. travnja 1993. godine, dodijeljen čin bojnika Oružanih snaga RH, te je odlikovan Redom kneza Domagoja s ogrlicom i Redom hrvatskog trolista 30. ožujka 1999. godine. Odlukom ministra obrane Republike Hrvatske 30. rujna 1998., a na prijedlog načelnika Uprave vojne policije, Nastavno središte za obuku Vojne policije Oružanih snaga Republike Hrvatske dobilo je ime bojnika Alfreda Hilla.

Zadro je rođen 31. ožujka 1944. u Donjim Mamićima, Ledinac kraj Gruda, a kao desetogodišnjak se doselio s obitelji u Borovo naselje. Početkom demokratskih promjena, aktivno se uključio u politički život te u organiziranje obrane pred velikosrpskom agresijom.

Po izbijanju krvave bitke za Vukovar zbog svojih izuzetnih organizacijskih sposobnosti i hrabrosti preuzima zapovijedanje obranom čitavog Borovog Naselja. Iako nije bio vojno školovan, kao zapovjednik 3. bojne legendarne 204. vukovarske brigade pokazao se izvrsnim organizatorom obrane Borovog Naselja.

Pod njegovim vodstvom na Trpinjskoj cesti, koja je zbog toga i prozvana "Groblje tenkova", zaustavljena je oklopna sila JNA i uništeno na desetke srpskih tenkova i oklopnih transportera. Bio je hrabar i odlučan, zapovjednik koji je u borbu kretao prvi.

- Ja sam Blago Zadro, radnik PU Vinkovci. Zahvaljujem se gospodinu načelniku što me poslao da budem na prvoj liniji u Borovu i da branim Hrvatsku na ovom području - rekao je heroj, nepunih 20-tak dana prije smrti.

Točno prije 31 godinu, agresori su prodrli tenkovima i fizički odvojili Borovo Naselje od Vukovara, a istodobno preko Vuke ušli u Lužac. Srpske su postrojbe prodrle u Vinogradsku ulicu i obrani došle s leđa. Blago je krenuo prema Vinogradskoj sa šestoricom suboraca. Hitno je pozvao i Turbo vod kojim je zapovijedao njegov sin Robert.

Do Zadre, nažalost, nije došla informacija da su Srbi ušli u Vinogradsku s pješadijom i tenkovima, pa je krenuo Kupskom ulicom s ‘kalašnjikovim‘ u rukama. Ni slutio nije da su četnici postavili mitraljez na prugu i na nišanu držali cijelu Kupsku ulicu. Svi koji su prolazili Kupskom bili su zapravo na brisanom prostoru.

Blago Zadro, hrvatski heroj, ubijen je rafalom iz mitraljeza. Zajedno sa sinom Robertom, koji je poginuo 1992. kod Kupresa, pokopan je na vukovarskom Memorijalnom groblju žrtava iz Domovinskog rata, u Aleji hrvatskih branitelja. Podignut mu je spomenik na Trpinjskoj cesti u Vukovaru, a posmrtno je dobio čin general-bojnika.

Ime Blage Zadre nosi Zapovjedno stožerna škola Ministarstva obrane RH, osnovna škola u Borovu Naselju, te ulice u Grudama, Splitu i Zagrebu.

Inače, danas se u Vukovaru obilježava i 31. godišnjica pogibij bojnika Alfreda Hilla. Bojnik Alfred Hill u rodnom Vukovaru završio je osnovnu školu i gimnaziju. Pravni je fakultet završio u Zagrebu, no onda se vratio u svoj rodni kraj gdje se oženio i dobio kćer Stašu. Zaposlio se u Upravi šuma Osijek, u pravnom odjelu. Dana 10. svibnja 1991. godine ulazi u sastav pričuvnih snaga Zbora narodne garde Vukovar i sudjeluje od prvog dana u organiziranju obrane Vukovara.

Zapovjednik obrane grada Vukovara Mile Dedaković – Jastreb 25. rujna 1991. godine imenuje ga prvim zapovjednikom satnije Vojne policije Vukovar, 204. vukovarske brigade. Alfred Hill - Atila (borbeni nadimak) s najbližim suradnicima, iskusnim bojovnicima, formira satniju Vojne policije, preuzima sve zadaće iz djelokruga Vojne policije uz aktivno i neprekidno sudjelovanje u obrani opkoljenog Vukovara.

Posthumno mu je, 29. travnja 1993. godine, dodijeljen čin bojnika Oružanih snaga RH, te je odlikovan Redom kneza Domagoja s ogrlicom i Redom hrvatskog trolista 30. ožujka 1999. godine. Odlukom ministra obrane Republike Hrvatske 30. rujna 1998., a na prijedlog načelnika Uprave vojne policije, Nastavno središte za obuku Vojne policije Oružanih snaga Republike Hrvatske dobilo je ime bojnika Alfreda Hilla.

U Vukovaru se u nedjelju obilježava 31. godišnjica pogibije general-bojnika Blage Zadre i bojnika Alfreda Hilla.
