Miroslav Radman u N1 Studiju uživo govorio je o aktualnom stanju s pandemijom koronavirusa.
"Jako se malo može predvidjeti s obzirom na širenje covida. Dovoljno su ljudi pametni da ne predviđaju jer nemamo elemente predviđanja budućnosti", kazao je kao odgovor na pitanje jesu se mogle predvidjeti današnje brojke.
"Najvažniji podatak je koja je posljedica tih zaraza. Većina su asimptomatski i smrtnost jako opada s vremenom, tako da ne treba paničariti. Bilo bi dobro znati zašto smrtnost opada, ne opada samo jer se zaražavaju i mlađi ljudi, pogotovo tijekom ljeta. Interesantna je opservacija da smrtnost jako opada s obzirom na veljaču i ožujak
Znanost šalje poruku da bi bilo bolje da imamo više vremena da bolje istražimo prirodu ovog virusa. Što su ljudi krhkijeg zdravlja, posljedice po njih su veće", kazao je Radman za N1.
"Mislim da je dobro ići dva koraka unazad i zapitati se - u Hrvatskoj svake godine umre 51.000, 52.000 ljudi zbog raznih uzroka, 330 je umrlo od covida. Samo po sebi, kada ništa ne bismo znali, nitko se ne bi strašno uplašio što na 51.000, 52.000 mrtvih godišnje zasad ima 330, možda 350 koji se pripisuju virusu. Pokušavam to dignuti na čisto akademski način, razmišljati hladne glave, jer se inače stvara previše šuma i, psihički, odgovor ljudi može isto izaći iz okvira normalne i imati više štete nego što je ovaj direktni, biološki efekt virusa", dodao je akademik Radman, prenosi N1.
"Vjerujem da nitko ne bi želio biti inficiran, naravno da se treba bojati, spriječiti onoliko koliko možemo i koliko je razumno, ali nikada se nećemo osloboditi svih bolesti. Život s rizikom je normalna stvar, ništa nije opasnije po život nego živjeti. Smrtnost se povećava s petom potencijom vremena koji živimo. Život i smrt su u jednom jedinstvu", pojasnio je Radman, dodavši kako smatra da osobe koje se bave javnim zdravstvom rade dobar posao.
"Zamislite da znanstveno vijeće ili ja osobno kažem "samo se relaksirajte, pravite se kao da se nište ne događa" i onda da bude 100.00 mrtvih. Ne može se govoriti protiv tog principa opreza, je svaki život dragocjen.
Ali s druge stane, otprilike jedan posto populacije umire svake godine ako nema rata ili neke grozne epidemije. Jedan posto se rađa i to vam je život. Umire se i rađa se, a na ljudima koji su odgovorni za javno zdravlje je da s potrude da što manje ljudi umire i oni jako dobro obavljaju svoj posao", istaknuo je Radman.
Zaključno je podijelio neka svoja promišljanja, kao genetičar, što bi se moglo dogoditi s virusom.
"I znanstvenici kada nemaju podatke ne mogu biti funkcionalno znanstvenici ako nemaju podataka. Ja kao genetičar predviđam da će virus izumrijeti akumulacijom mutacija, svojih vlastitih grešaka u kopiranju, jer ti virusi koji imaju RNA, ne DNA kao genom mutiraju oko 100.000 puta više.
Virus će možda izumrijeti od genetske smrti ako akumulira toliko mutacija grešaka. I to predviđam jer nemamo podataka za budućnost koja je po definiciji nepoznata", kazao je Radman za N1.

Miroslav Radman u N1 Studiju uživo govorio je o aktualnom stanju s pandemijom koronavirusa.
"Jako se malo može predvidjeti s obzirom na širenje covida. Dovoljno su ljudi pametni da ne predviđaju jer nemamo elemente predviđanja budućnosti", kazao je kao odgovor na pitanje jesu se mogle predvidjeti današnje brojke.
"Najvažniji podatak je koja je posljedica tih zaraza. Većina su asimptomatski i smrtnost jako opada s vremenom, tako da ne treba paničariti. Bilo bi dobro znati zašto smrtnost opada, ne opada samo jer se zaražavaju i mlađi ljudi, pogotovo tijekom ljeta. Interesantna je opservacija da smrtnost jako opada s obzirom na veljaču i ožujak
Znanost šalje poruku da bi bilo bolje da imamo više vremena da bolje istražimo prirodu ovog virusa. Što su ljudi krhkijeg zdravlja, posljedice po njih su veće", kazao je Radman za N1.
"Mislim da je dobro ići dva koraka unazad i zapitati se - u Hrvatskoj svake godine umre 51.000, 52.000 ljudi zbog raznih uzroka, 330 je umrlo od covida. Samo po sebi, kada ništa ne bismo znali, nitko se ne bi strašno uplašio što na 51.000, 52.000 mrtvih godišnje zasad ima 330, možda 350 koji se pripisuju virusu. Pokušavam to dignuti na čisto akademski način, razmišljati hladne glave, jer se inače stvara previše šuma i, psihički, odgovor ljudi može isto izaći iz okvira normalne i imati više štete nego što je ovaj direktni, biološki efekt virusa", dodao je akademik Radman, prenosi N1.
"Vjerujem da nitko ne bi želio biti inficiran, naravno da se treba bojati, spriječiti onoliko koliko možemo i koliko je razumno, ali nikada se nećemo osloboditi svih bolesti. Život s rizikom je normalna stvar, ništa nije opasnije po život nego živjeti. Smrtnost se povećava s petom potencijom vremena koji živimo. Život i smrt su u jednom jedinstvu", pojasnio je Radman, dodavši kako smatra da osobe koje se bave javnim zdravstvom rade dobar posao.
"Zamislite da znanstveno vijeće ili ja osobno kažem "samo se relaksirajte, pravite se kao da se nište ne događa" i onda da bude 100.00 mrtvih. Ne može se govoriti protiv tog principa opreza, je svaki život dragocjen.
Ali s druge stane, otprilike jedan posto populacije umire svake godine ako nema rata ili neke grozne epidemije. Jedan posto se rađa i to vam je život. Umire se i rađa se, a na ljudima koji su odgovorni za javno zdravlje je da s potrude da što manje ljudi umire i oni jako dobro obavljaju svoj posao", istaknuo je Radman.
Zaključno je podijelio neka svoja promišljanja, kao genetičar, što bi se moglo dogoditi s virusom.
"I znanstvenici kada nemaju podatke ne mogu biti funkcionalno znanstvenici ako nemaju podataka. Ja kao genetičar predviđam da će virus izumrijeti akumulacijom mutacija, svojih vlastitih grešaka u kopiranju, jer ti virusi koji imaju RNA, ne DNA kao genom mutiraju oko 100.000 puta više.
