Kad se prošle godine dogodio razoran potres kod Nevesinja u Bosni i Hercegovini magnitude 6.1 po Richteru, korisnici Androida u Hrvatskoj dobili su na svoje pametne telefone upozorenje da je u blizini potres, i to nešto prije nego što su ga i sami fizički osjetili. Budući se potres širi koncentrično, sustav ima vremena obavijestiti ljude koji žive dalje od epicentra da je došlo do trešnje nekoliko trenutaka ranije. Za jutrošnji potres koji se dogodio u 6 sati i 31 minutu, s epicentrom kod otoka Čiova, tri kilometra južno od Trogira, jačine 3.0 prema Richteru – takvo upozorenje na mobitele nije stiglo.

- Riječ je slabom potresu koji se osjetio na širem području između Šibenika i Splita, no nije mogao izazvati nikakve štete – kaže nam šefica Seizmološke službe Ines Ivančić koja kao i svi seizmolozi uporno ponavlja da ljudima treba biti jasno da kod potresa ne postoji „ništa unaprijed što ga može nagovijestiti” odnosno da se „potres ne može najaviti”. 

- Tek kad se potres dogodi mi ga osjetimo i bilježimo – ponavlja Ines Ivančić. Objašnjava kako postoje dvije vrste valova koji kreću iz epicentra odnosno iz hipocentra potresa: transverzalni i longitudinalni. Transverzalni su brži i nešto se manje i slabije osjete. Oni su prvi koji kreću nakon potresa.

„Kad imate primjerice 800 kilometara od epicentra ili 400, tada ima smisla slati upozoravajuću obavijest o potresu koji se dogodio jer ima vremena da se ljudi sklone. No, mi smo mala zemlja, nemamo velike udaljenosti ni puno vremena za reakciju. Hrvatska se nalazi na rasjednom sustavu i potres koji se primjerice dogodio u Petrinji svi smo osjetili u Zagrebu prije nego što bi bilo kakva alert poruka na mobitel stigla. I tu ništa ne možete napraviti.

Također kad gledamo udaljenosti, od Zagreba do Dubrovnika je oko 400 kilometara zračne linije, a dubrovački potres neće napraviti nikakvu štetu u Zagrebu, i obratno zagrebački u Dubrovniku. U tom smislu, ta rana upozorenja kod nas nisu od velike koristi. Ona su dobra kod mostova, tunela, željezničkog prometa, ali u principu ljudi se dodatno uznemire i može biti više štete nego koristi ako se stvori panika. Taj sustav ranog upozorenja je funkcionalan u područjima kao što je primjerice Meksiko ili Japan, gdje ostane dovoljno vremena da se ljudi sklone nakon što je izdano upozorenje – kaže Ines Ivančić.

Googleov sustav, nazvan ShakeAlert, kreiran je u suradnji s američkim Geološkim zavodom i koristi signale stotina seizmometara koji se aktiviraju te putem pametnih telefona s Androidom korisnicima šalju upozorenja. Procedura pokretanja tog sustava vrlo je jednostavna. Potrebno je otići u postavke mobitela, odabrati lokaciju, potom usluge lokacije i konačno uslugu: ‘Upozorenja o potresu‘ te ju aktivirati. Androidova platforma za pomoć u detekciji potresa može djelovati bilo gdje u svijetu, i bez prateće seizmološke infrastrukture, a upozorenje na potres na vašem smartphoneu nećete dobiti ako se nalazite izvan zone potencijalne potresne opasnosti.

IPhone i iOS oslanjaju se na lokalne službe i nude opciju digitalnog podsjetnika koji je izravno vezan na primjerice seizmološki zavod što kod nas pak nije opcija. Ali postoje besplatne aplikacije za Iphone kao što je LastQuake. Zahvaljujući brzom sudjelovanju brojnih korisnika, za par minuta ESMC može procijeniti utjecaj potresa i nakon toga obavijesti građane. No, sve dok ne dobije precizne podatke lokalnih seizmografa u našem slučaju Seizmološkog zavoda, epicentar potresa ne mora biti točan. 

Puno je poruka u aplikaciju u srijedu ujutro stizalo s područja grada Splita i Splitsko-dalmatinske županije.

- Spavala sam i jačina potresa me prenula iz sna i nastavilo trest par sekunda - komentirala je stanovnica Kaštel Starog.

- Tutanj pa snažan udar - poruka je iz Solina.

- Probudio me je - komentirao je Splićanin.

- Poput eksplozije, kratko, ali snažno - istaknuo je mještanin Segeta Donjeg.

- Udar, kratka stanka pa tutnjava oko 3 sekunde - napisao je stanovnik Supetra na Braču.

Kad se prošle godine dogodio razoran potres kod Nevesinja u Bosni i Hercegovini magnitude 6.1 po Richteru, korisnici Androida u Hrvatskoj dobili su na svoje pametne telefone upozorenje da je u blizini potres, i to nešto prije nego što su ga i sami fizički osjetili. Budući se potres širi koncentrično, sustav ima vremena obavijestiti ljude koji žive dalje od epicentra da je došlo do trešnje nekoliko trenutaka ranije. Za jutrošnji potres koji se dogodio u 6 sati i 31 minutu, s epicentrom kod otoka Čiova, tri kilometra južno od Trogira, jačine 3.0 prema Richteru – takvo upozorenje na mobitele nije stiglo.

- Riječ je slabom potresu koji se osjetio na širem području između Šibenika i Splita, no nije mogao izazvati nikakve štete – kaže nam šefica Seizmološke službe Ines Ivančić koja kao i svi seizmolozi uporno ponavlja da ljudima treba biti jasno da kod potresa ne postoji „ništa unaprijed što ga može nagovijestiti” odnosno da se „potres ne može najaviti”. 

- Tek kad se potres dogodi mi ga osjetimo i bilježimo – ponavlja Ines Ivančić. Objašnjava kako postoje dvije vrste valova koji kreću iz epicentra odnosno iz hipocentra potresa: transverzalni i longitudinalni. Transverzalni su brži i nešto se manje i slabije osjete. Oni su prvi koji kreću nakon potresa.

„Kad imate primjerice 800 kilometara od epicentra ili 400, tada ima smisla slati upozoravajuću obavijest o potresu koji se dogodio jer ima vremena da se ljudi sklone. No, mi smo mala zemlja, nemamo velike udaljenosti ni puno vremena za reakciju. Hrvatska se nalazi na rasjednom sustavu i potres koji se primjerice dogodio u Petrinji svi smo osjetili u Zagrebu prije nego što bi bilo kakva alert poruka na mobitel stigla. I tu ništa ne možete napraviti.

Također kad gledamo udaljenosti, od Zagreba do Dubrovnika je oko 400 kilometara zračne linije, a dubrovački potres neće napraviti nikakvu štetu u Zagrebu, i obratno zagrebački u Dubrovniku. U tom smislu, ta rana upozorenja kod nas nisu od velike koristi. Ona su dobra kod mostova, tunela, željezničkog prometa, ali u principu ljudi se dodatno uznemire i može biti više štete nego koristi ako se stvori panika. Taj sustav ranog upozorenja je funkcionalan u područjima kao što je primjerice Meksiko ili Japan, gdje ostane dovoljno vremena da se ljudi sklone nakon što je izdano upozorenje – kaže Ines Ivančić.

Googleov sustav, nazvan ShakeAlert, kreiran je u suradnji s američkim Geološkim zavodom i koristi signale stotina seizmometara koji se aktiviraju te putem pametnih telefona s Androidom korisnicima šalju upozorenja. Procedura pokretanja tog sustava vrlo je jednostavna. Potrebno je otići u postavke mobitela, odabrati lokaciju, potom usluge lokacije i konačno uslugu: ‘Upozorenja o potresu‘ te ju aktivirati. Androidova platforma za pomoć u detekciji potresa može djelovati bilo gdje u svijetu, i bez prateće seizmološke infrastrukture, a upozorenje na potres na vašem smartphoneu nećete dobiti ako se nalazite izvan zone potencijalne potresne opasnosti.

IPhone i iOS oslanjaju se na lokalne službe i nude opciju digitalnog podsjetnika koji je izravno vezan na primjerice seizmološki zavod što kod nas pak nije opcija. Ali postoje besplatne aplikacije za Iphone kao što je LastQuake. Zahvaljujući brzom sudjelovanju brojnih korisnika, za par minuta ESMC može procijeniti utjecaj potresa i nakon toga obavijesti građane. No, sve dok ne dobije precizne podatke lokalnih seizmografa u našem slučaju Seizmološkog zavoda, epicentar potresa ne mora biti točan. 

Puno je poruka u aplikaciju u srijedu ujutro stizalo s područja grada Splita i Splitsko-dalmatinske županije.

- Spavala sam i jačina potresa me prenula iz sna i nastavilo trest par sekunda - komentirala je stanovnica Kaštel Starog.

- Tutanj pa snažan udar - poruka je iz Solina.

- Probudio me je - komentirao je Splićanin.

- Poput eksplozije, kratko, ali snažno - istaknuo je mještanin Segeta Donjeg.

- Udar, kratka stanka pa tutnjava oko 3 sekunde - napisao je stanovnik Supetra na Braču.
