Mlada Zadranka Iva Prenđa izborila je pobjedu u borbi sa zdravstvenom administracijom.

Mjesec i pol dana nakon što je posredstvom “Slobodne Dalmacije” javnosti uputila apel za pomoć u nabavi skupog lijeka koji, unatoč preporuci specijalista, nije mogla dobiti preko svoga zdravstvenog osiguranja, dobila je informaciju iz Ministarstva zdravstva da će država ipak financirati njezino liječenje.

- Presretne smo i još ne možemo vjerovati da je ova vijest istinita. No, još uvijek osjećamo okus gorčine zbog toga što teško bolesne osobe moraju trošiti svoju energiju da bi dobile ono što im pripada - kazala nam je Ivina majka Gordana Prenđa.

Dvadeset sedmogodišnja Iva, podsjetimo, boluje od paroksizmalne noćne hemoglubinurije, rijetke bolesti koštane srži, koju u Hrvatskoj ima još nekoliko osoba.

Tijek bolesti nije moguće predvidjeti, a Iva preživljava zahvaljujući čestim transfuzijama krvi, zbog kojih joj se u organizmu gomila željezo koje uništava unutarnje organe.

Ugledni hrvatski hematolog Ivi je prepisao eculizumab, novi lijek na svjetskom tržištu koji se pokazao učinkovit u borbi protiv te bolesti, no njegov zahtjev nije dobio zeleno svjetlo na Rebru.

Problem je bio u cijeni, budući da četveromjesečna terapija za Ivu stoji oko dva milijuna kuna. Nakon javnog istupa obitelji Prenđa i Udruge hrvatskih pacijenata, uskomešale su se strukture na Rebru, u HZZO-u i Ministarstvu zdravstva, a ministar Darko Milinović odlučio je kako će država financirati terapiju za Ivu.

- Ovo je jedan od ljepših dana u mom životu jer smo vratili nadu u život Ivi i njezinoj obitelji. Zahvaljujem liječnicima koji su se neustrašivo borili za njezin život, ministru Milinoviću koji je prihvatio apel naše udruge, te medijima koji su nas cijelo vrijeme podržavali - poručio je Marijo Drlje, predsjednik Udruge hrvatskih pacijenata.

Mlada Zadranka Iva Prenđa izborila je pobjedu u borbi sa zdravstvenom administracijom.

Mjesec i pol dana nakon što je posredstvom “Slobodne Dalmacije” javnosti uputila apel za pomoć u nabavi skupog lijeka koji, unatoč preporuci specijalista, nije mogla dobiti preko svoga zdravstvenog osiguranja, dobila je informaciju iz Ministarstva zdravstva da će država ipak financirati njezino liječenje.

- Presretne smo i još ne možemo vjerovati da je ova vijest istinita. No, još uvijek osjećamo okus gorčine zbog toga što teško bolesne osobe moraju trošiti svoju energiju da bi dobile ono što im pripada - kazala nam je Ivina majka Gordana Prenđa.

Dvadeset sedmogodišnja Iva, podsjetimo, boluje od paroksizmalne noćne hemoglubinurije, rijetke bolesti koštane srži, koju u Hrvatskoj ima još nekoliko osoba.

Tijek bolesti nije moguće predvidjeti, a Iva preživljava zahvaljujući čestim transfuzijama krvi, zbog kojih joj se u organizmu gomila željezo koje uništava unutarnje organe.

Ugledni hrvatski hematolog Ivi je prepisao eculizumab, novi lijek na svjetskom tržištu koji se pokazao učinkovit u borbi protiv te bolesti, no njegov zahtjev nije dobio zeleno svjetlo na Rebru.

Problem je bio u cijeni, budući da četveromjesečna terapija za Ivu stoji oko dva milijuna kuna. Nakon javnog istupa obitelji Prenđa i Udruge hrvatskih pacijenata, uskomešale su se strukture na Rebru, u HZZO-u i Ministarstvu zdravstva, a ministar Darko Milinović odlučio je kako će država financirati terapiju za Ivu.

- Ovo je jedan od ljepših dana u mom životu jer smo vratili nadu u život Ivi i njezinoj obitelji. Zahvaljujem liječnicima koji su se neustrašivo borili za njezin život, ministru Milinoviću koji je prihvatio apel naše udruge, te medijima koji su nas cijelo vrijeme podržavali - poručio je Marijo Drlje, predsjednik Udruge hrvatskih pacijenata.
