Partija je i Ino. “Puno san bolestan, ali neću se predat!”, bilo je možda i zadnje što je poručio. Na to odgovoriš: “Ajde, svi se škapulaju, pa ćeš i ti, na mlado je”, i činilo se sigurnim da će se izvući, bilo je nezamislivo da neće. A eto, nije.

Valjalo bi se u posljednjem pozdravu sjetiti nekih riječi, batude, škice, pasusa iz milijuna riječi, batuda, škica i pasusa koje su za života izlazile iz te glave. Ne izlazile, kuljale. A ipak, nijedne nema u glavi. Pa tko bi to ponovio, te bravure.

“Ja tjeram krdo riječi” pisala je Vesna Parun, a Inoslav Bešker ih je tjerao na vagone. Kad bi slušao nekog, pa bilo to manje ili više pametno, sav bi se napeo, probijao sugovornika očima, strigao ušima. Upijao. Uživao. Sve ga je zanimalo, pa i naizgledne beznačajnosti.

Od djetinjstva je bio takav. Rekli bi u Splitu za takvu dicu: “Prije je naučija štit slova nego odat.” U jednoj davnoj “Slobodnoj” objavljena je začudna fotografija: dječak od kakve tri, četiri godine, naslonio novinu, onu velikog formata, gotovo veću od njega, na palmino deblo na rivi, pa čita. Bio je to mali Inoslav. U kazališnom arhivu pronađena je davna fotografija, 1960. je godina, u punom gledalištu među ljudima starije generacije sjedi samo jedan momčić, sedmogodišnjak, čudo od diteta, mali Ino.

A volio je opere, priča se da je kao gimnazijalac u vlaku do Zagreba znao “zabavljati” društvo pjevajući “Borisa Godunova”. Cijelog. Na ruskom, naravno.

Bili su to prvi bljeskovi vatrometa znanja kakvim je kasnije obasjavao hrvatsko novinarstvo, ali i sve koji bi ga susreli. Pitanje na bilo koju temu: nogomet, politika, povijest, Mediteran, religije, jezik, filozofija, glazba... Odgovor nije bio upitan, samo je pitanje bilo koliko imate vremena. Jer bi se priča širila u svim smjerovima i oblicima. Uživo ili telefonom.

Kad bi trebalo nazvati Beškera, valjalo se najprije udobno smjestiti, odgoditi sve obaveze u sljedećih sat ili više, pa naoštriti uho. U moru sveznanja našle bi se pored enciklopedijskih natuknica i ćakule, humoreske, zafrkancije i obavezno: “Šta ima po Splitu?”

Beškerovi tekstovi bili su obavezna literatura na razne teme, znao sam mu reći: “Ti si jedini agnostik zaljubljen u Katoličku crkvu.” Vatikanske analize, intrige i avanture raskalašnih kardinala bile su mu poput duhovne hrane, veliki gušt za ovaj genijalni i furbasti mozak, a za to je trebalo veliko znanje, sjajno poznavanje funkcioniranja najveće i najstarije svjetske organizacije, i sve bi to utoćao u britki dalmatinski humor.

I tako o svemu što je pisao. Nije bilo: Ne mogu i ne znam. Bilo je samo: Recite što treba, to je moj posao.

Da je tu glavu bilo sačuvati u nekom kompjutoru, tu natprirodnu inteligenciju suočiti s umjetnom, ne bi bilo sporno koja će pregorjeti.

Speleolog riječi, arhitekt rečenice, velemajstor novinarstva, duboki um koji ništa nije čuvao za sebe. Koga sada zvati kad treba zvati Beškera? Ostat ćemo puno gluplji i barem zahvalni što smo živjeli u istom prostoru i vremenu.

“Ja tjeram krdo riječi” pisala je Vesna Parun, a Inoslav Bešker ih je tjerao na vagone. Kad bi slušao nekog, pa bilo to manje ili više pametno, sav bi se napeo, probijao sugovornika očima, strigao ušima. Upijao. Uživao. Sve ga je zanimalo, pa i naizgledne beznačajnosti.

Od djetinjstva je bio takav. Rekli bi u Splitu za takvu dicu: “Prije je naučija štit slova nego odat.” U jednoj davnoj “Slobodnoj” objavljena je začudna fotografija: dječak od kakve tri, četiri godine, naslonio novinu, onu velikog formata, gotovo veću od njega, na palmino deblo na rivi, pa čita. Bio je to mali Inoslav. U kazališnom arhivu pronađena je davna fotografija, 1960. je godina, u punom gledalištu među ljudima starije generacije sjedi samo jedan momčić, sedmogodišnjak, čudo od diteta, mali Ino.

A volio je opere, priča se da je kao gimnazijalac u vlaku do Zagreba znao “zabavljati” društvo pjevajući “Borisa Godunova”. Cijelog. Na ruskom, naravno.

Bili su to prvi bljeskovi vatrometa znanja kakvim je kasnije obasjavao hrvatsko novinarstvo, ali i sve koji bi ga susreli. Pitanje na bilo koju temu: nogomet, politika, povijest, Mediteran, religije, jezik, filozofija, glazba... Odgovor nije bio upitan, samo je pitanje bilo koliko imate vremena. Jer bi se priča širila u svim smjerovima i oblicima. Uživo ili telefonom.

Kad bi trebalo nazvati Beškera, valjalo se najprije udobno smjestiti, odgoditi sve obaveze u sljedećih sat ili više, pa naoštriti uho. U moru sveznanja našle bi se pored enciklopedijskih natuknica i ćakule, humoreske, zafrkancije i obavezno: “Šta ima po Splitu?”

Beškerovi tekstovi bili su obavezna literatura na razne teme, znao sam mu reći: “Ti si jedini agnostik zaljubljen u Katoličku crkvu.” Vatikanske analize, intrige i avanture raskalašnih kardinala bile su mu poput duhovne hrane, veliki gušt za ovaj genijalni i furbasti mozak, a za to je trebalo veliko znanje, sjajno poznavanje funkcioniranja najveće i najstarije svjetske organizacije, i sve bi to utoćao u britki dalmatinski humor.

I tako o svemu što je pisao. Nije bilo: Ne mogu i ne znam. Bilo je samo: Recite što treba, to je moj posao.

Da je tu glavu bilo sačuvati u nekom kompjutoru, tu natprirodnu inteligenciju suočiti s umjetnom, ne bi bilo sporno koja će pregorjeti.

Speleolog riječi, arhitekt rečenice, velemajstor novinarstva, duboki um koji ništa nije čuvao za sebe. Koga sada zvati kad treba zvati Beškera? Ostat ćemo puno gluplji i barem zahvalni što smo živjeli u istom prostoru i vremenu.

Partija je i Ino. “Puno san bolestan, ali neću se predat!”, bilo je možda i zadnje što je poručio. Na to odgovoriš: “Ajde, svi se škapulaju, pa ćeš i ti, na mlado je”, i činilo se sigurnim da će se izvući, bilo je nezamislivo da neće. A eto, nije.

Valjalo bi se u posljednjem pozdravu sjetiti nekih riječi, batude, škice, pasusa iz milijuna riječi, batuda, škica i pasusa koje su za života izlazile iz te glave. Ne izlazile, kuljale. A ipak, nijedne nema u glavi. Pa tko bi to ponovio, te bravure.
