Amerikanac Sean Cristoph Bogdanovich (29) iz San Francisca, koji je nestao iz Komiže na otoku Visu još 20. prosinca 2010. godine, te je nakon četiri dana potrage pronađen mrtav u uvali Barjoška, najvjerojatnije je preminuo od trovanja acetonom. Utvrdila je to obdukcija koju je obavio dr. Antonio Alujević, sudski vještak i patolog iz splitskoga KBC-a.
- Smrt Amerikanca je vrlo vjerojatno nastupila dan nakon njegova nestanka, dakle 21. prosinca. Obdukcijom su na njegovu tijelu uočene ogrebotine na čelu koje nisu nastale za života, te ogrebotine na koljenima, potkoljenicama i stopalima, koje su nastale zbog hodanja po kamenjaru, šiblju...
- U tijelu preminulog također nije nađeno ni alkohola, kao ni narkotika, no u njegovu sam organizmu (krvi i mokraći) pronašao smrtonosnu dozu acetona. Trovanje acetonom nastaje kada osoba koja u tijelu ima acetona, taj aceton pije, udiše ili snifa, no pojava acetona nastaje i kod nereguliranja dijabetesa, gladovanja te izbjegavanja uzimanja ugljikohidrata s viškom masti u prehrani - kazuje dr. Alujević.
Kako dr. Alujević iz njemu nepoznatih razloga nije bio pozvan na očevid niti je bio upoznat s rezultatima očevida, donio je jedan ovako općenit nalaz.
- Mogu samo kazati da je u krvi Amerikanac imao 0,21 gram acetona po kilogramu, a u mokraći 0,59 grama acetona po kilogramu. Acetonska koma nastaje kada osoba u krvi ima između 0,25 i 0,30 grama acetona po kilogramu. Ovdje se nije radilo o trenutnoj smrti, nego je Amerikanac vrlo vjerojatno, iako je imao manju dozu od one koja izaziva acetonsku komu, ipak upao u tu komu i nakon toga preminuo.
- Ujedno moram istaknuti kako obdukcijom nisam utvrdio da je Bogdanovich bolovao od dijabetesa, no to se i ne može utvrditi svakom obdukcijom - zaključio je dr. Antonio Alujević.
Nestanak Seana Bogdanovicha prijavio je 20. prosinca njegov brat Jesse Bogdanovich, i to nakon što brata nije vidio cijela četiri dana. Iz San Francisca braća su se doselila u listopadu prošle godine kako bi živjeli i promovirali način života okrenut prirodi.
Prema kazivanju mještana, živjeli su samotnjački u dvjema obiteljskim kućama, asketski, okrenuti više prirodi nego lokalnim ljudima. Ako Sean Cristoph nije imao problema s dijabetesom, što policija još mora provjeriti, moguće je da je na tragični ishod utjecao stil života.
No, to su okolnosti koje policija još mora utvrditi. Premda je obitelj nesretnog mladića podnijela zahtjev da im se odobri sahrana pokraj kućice u kojoj je živio, taj im zahtjev nije odobren, te je pokopan na viškom gradskom groblju.

Amerikanac Sean Cristoph Bogdanovich (29) iz San Francisca, koji je nestao iz Komiže na otoku Visu još 20. prosinca 2010. godine, te je nakon četiri dana potrage pronađen mrtav u uvali Barjoška, najvjerojatnije je preminuo od trovanja acetonom. Utvrdila je to obdukcija koju je obavio dr. Antonio Alujević, sudski vještak i patolog iz splitskoga KBC-a.
- Smrt Amerikanca je vrlo vjerojatno nastupila dan nakon njegova nestanka, dakle 21. prosinca. Obdukcijom su na njegovu tijelu uočene ogrebotine na čelu koje nisu nastale za života, te ogrebotine na koljenima, potkoljenicama i stopalima, koje su nastale zbog hodanja po kamenjaru, šiblju...
- U tijelu preminulog također nije nađeno ni alkohola, kao ni narkotika, no u njegovu sam organizmu (krvi i mokraći) pronašao smrtonosnu dozu acetona. Trovanje acetonom nastaje kada osoba koja u tijelu ima acetona, taj aceton pije, udiše ili snifa, no pojava acetona nastaje i kod nereguliranja dijabetesa, gladovanja te izbjegavanja uzimanja ugljikohidrata s viškom masti u prehrani - kazuje dr. Alujević.
Kako dr. Alujević iz njemu nepoznatih razloga nije bio pozvan na očevid niti je bio upoznat s rezultatima očevida, donio je jedan ovako općenit nalaz.
- Mogu samo kazati da je u krvi Amerikanac imao 0,21 gram acetona po kilogramu, a u mokraći 0,59 grama acetona po kilogramu. Acetonska koma nastaje kada osoba u krvi ima između 0,25 i 0,30 grama acetona po kilogramu. Ovdje se nije radilo o trenutnoj smrti, nego je Amerikanac vrlo vjerojatno, iako je imao manju dozu od one koja izaziva acetonsku komu, ipak upao u tu komu i nakon toga preminuo.
- Ujedno moram istaknuti kako obdukcijom nisam utvrdio da je Bogdanovich bolovao od dijabetesa, no to se i ne može utvrditi svakom obdukcijom - zaključio je dr. Antonio Alujević.
Nestanak Seana Bogdanovicha prijavio je 20. prosinca njegov brat Jesse Bogdanovich, i to nakon što brata nije vidio cijela četiri dana. Iz San Francisca braća su se doselila u listopadu prošle godine kako bi živjeli i promovirali način života okrenut prirodi.
Prema kazivanju mještana, živjeli su samotnjački u dvjema obiteljskim kućama, asketski, okrenuti više prirodi nego lokalnim ljudima. Ako Sean Cristoph nije imao problema s dijabetesom, što policija još mora provjeriti, moguće je da je na tragični ishod utjecao stil života.
No, to su okolnosti koje policija još mora utvrditi. Premda je obitelj nesretnog mladića podnijela zahtjev da im se odobri sahrana pokraj kućice u kojoj je živio, taj im zahtjev nije odobren, te je pokopan na viškom gradskom groblju.
