Novčanice od 500 eura služe, uglavnom, za pranje prljavog novca. Tu tvrdnju izrekao je s mnogo razloga Specijalni odjel talijanske Državne banke u povjerljivu izvješću čije je dijelove ovih dana prenio najveći talijanski dnevnik Il Corriere della Sera.
Sumnjičavost sve više izaziva činjenica da su i nakon osam godina od uvođenja jedinstvene europske valute ove banknote u svih 16 zemalja eurozone praktično i dalje nepoznate. I to unatoč činjenici da ih je optjecaju 550 milijuna komada, u ukupnoj vrijednosti od 275 milijardi eura, što čini oko 36 posto svih izdanih euro novčanica – pet posto više nego najviše korištene pedesetice.
Izvješće ove banke dodaje da je dio ovih banknota u rukama subjekata čije je sjedište izvan eurozone, a koji ih smatraju rezervom ili paralelnim platežnim sredstvom.
U svakom slučaju, sigurno je da se u zemljama eurozone novčanice od 500 eura ne koriste u kupovinama i potrošnji pojedinaca i domaćinstava. Izvještaj na nekoliko primjera pokazuje kako je i koliko moguće koristiti ove novčanice: u klasičnu aktovku stane oko 12 tisuća ovih banknota, tj. ukupno šest milijuna eura. Za poreznu utaju ili pranje prljavog novca prava je igračka prebaciti to, može se slobodno reći, malo bogatstvo u San Marino ili Švicarsku.
A u sigurnosne kutije sefove uobičajene veličine (45x37x18cm) stane čak 10 milijuna eura. Sumnje Državne banke Italije pobuđuje i činjenica da je najveća potražnja za novčanicama od 500 eura u regijama Lecco i Como na granici sa Švicarskom i Forli-Cesena-Rimini blizu San Marina.
Financijska straža i karabinjeri zaplijenili su nedavno veliku pošiljku do San Marina novčanica od 500 eura u jednom kamionetu. Vrijednost pošiljke nije bila navedena u policijskom priopćenju. Prema izvještaju, isto ovo događa se i u drugim zemljama eurozone.
Problemom se bavila i Organizacija za ekonomsku suradnju i razvoj (OECD) koja je - podsjećajući da najveća dolarska novčanica ima vrijednost od 72 eura, tj. oko sedam puta manju - preporučila da se ove banknote jednostavno povuku iz optjecaja. Jedino Švicarci imaju banknote veće vrijednosti – od tisuću franaka (673 eura), ali je njih neusporedivo manje u optjecaju.

Ništa bez poreznog broja
I talijanske vlasti nastoje već duže vrijeme suzbiti porezne utaje i pranje novca kontrolom svih novčanih operacija. U toj zemlji nitko ne može uložiti nikakvu gotovinu na neki račun u poštama ili bankama ako ne navede svoj evidencijski porezni broj.

Novčanice od 500 eura služe, uglavnom, za pranje prljavog novca. Tu tvrdnju izrekao je s mnogo razloga Specijalni odjel talijanske Državne banke u povjerljivu izvješću čije je dijelove ovih dana prenio najveći talijanski dnevnik Il Corriere della Sera.
Sumnjičavost sve više izaziva činjenica da su i nakon osam godina od uvođenja jedinstvene europske valute ove banknote u svih 16 zemalja eurozone praktično i dalje nepoznate. I to unatoč činjenici da ih je optjecaju 550 milijuna komada, u ukupnoj vrijednosti od 275 milijardi eura, što čini oko 36 posto svih izdanih euro novčanica – pet posto više nego najviše korištene pedesetice.
Izvješće ove banke dodaje da je dio ovih banknota u rukama subjekata čije je sjedište izvan eurozone, a koji ih smatraju rezervom ili paralelnim platežnim sredstvom.
U svakom slučaju, sigurno je da se u zemljama eurozone novčanice od 500 eura ne koriste u kupovinama i potrošnji pojedinaca i domaćinstava. Izvještaj na nekoliko primjera pokazuje kako je i koliko moguće koristiti ove novčanice: u klasičnu aktovku stane oko 12 tisuća ovih banknota, tj. ukupno šest milijuna eura. Za poreznu utaju ili pranje prljavog novca prava je igračka prebaciti to, može se slobodno reći, malo bogatstvo u San Marino ili Švicarsku.
A u sigurnosne kutije sefove uobičajene veličine (45x37x18cm) stane čak 10 milijuna eura. Sumnje Državne banke Italije pobuđuje i činjenica da je najveća potražnja za novčanicama od 500 eura u regijama Lecco i Como na granici sa Švicarskom i Forli-Cesena-Rimini blizu San Marina.
Financijska straža i karabinjeri zaplijenili su nedavno veliku pošiljku do San Marina novčanica od 500 eura u jednom kamionetu. Vrijednost pošiljke nije bila navedena u policijskom priopćenju. Prema izvještaju, isto ovo događa se i u drugim zemljama eurozone.
Problemom se bavila i Organizacija za ekonomsku suradnju i razvoj (OECD) koja je - podsjećajući da najveća dolarska novčanica ima vrijednost od 72 eura, tj. oko sedam puta manju - preporučila da se ove banknote jednostavno povuku iz optjecaja. Jedino Švicarci imaju banknote veće vrijednosti – od tisuću franaka (673 eura), ali je njih neusporedivo manje u optjecaju.

Ništa bez poreznog broja
I talijanske vlasti nastoje već duže vrijeme suzbiti porezne utaje i pranje novca kontrolom svih novčanih operacija. U toj zemlji nitko ne može uložiti nikakvu gotovinu na neki račun u poštama ili bankama ako ne navede svoj evidencijski porezni broj.
