Prvi put otkako su Sjedinjene Države počele osjećati krizu, glavni šef ovdašnje ekonomije priznao je da bi zemlja mogla uploviti u recesiju. Tako je
Ben Bernanke, šef Federalnih rezervi, objasnio u srijedu članovima američkog Kongresa da je velika kriza na tržištu nekretnina, začinjena problemima u zajmovnom i financijskom sektoru, dovela ekonomiju “u vrlo delikatnu situaciju”.
- Recesija je sasvim moguća - priznao je Bernanke i rekao da ekonomija trenutačno raste vrlo malom stopom, no postoji šansa da prva polovica godine završi s malim negativnim predznakom.
Prema ocjenama washingtonskih analitičara, šest uzastopnih mjeseci negativne stope rasta znači - recesiju.
- Recesija je, zapravo, vrlo neprecizan tehnički termin... Bez obzira na to kako to nazvali, još uvijek nisam spreman kazati je li ekonomija došla u odgovarajuću situaciju.” Bez obzira na to je li ekonomija ušla u prvu recesiju poslije 2001. - a mnogi ekonomisti vjeruju da jest - sve su nervozniji vlasnici kuća koje su morali vratiti bankama, banke koje moraju baratati s bankrotiranim dužnicima, oni koji su izgubili posao, investitori, kongresmeni na Capitol Hillu...
Jak vjetar u prsa
Iz Federalnih su rezervi već u nekoliko navrata smanjivali (osnovne) kamatne stope koje sada iznose 2,25 posto, a uskoro bi mogle potonuti i na jedva 1,5 posto. Novac postaje vrlo jeftin...
- Borimo se protiv jakog vjetra u prsa. Za sada uspijevamo u dobroj mjeri amortizirati negativne učinke iz smjera kriznih financijskih sektora - opisuje situaciju Bernanke,
Šef Federalnih rezervi očekuje da ekonomski rast krene uzbrdo u drugoj polovici godine i nastavi se u 2009. Američka je vlada, uz već smanjenje kamata - kreirala 168 milijardi dolara vrijedan paket poreznih olakšica za građane i poduzeća.
Nezaposlenost
Stopa nezaposlenosti od 4,8 posto mogla bi se početi približavati dvoznamenkastoj granici, kazao je Bernanke.

Prvi put otkako su Sjedinjene Države počele osjećati krizu, glavni šef ovdašnje ekonomije priznao je da bi zemlja mogla uploviti u recesiju. Tako je
Ben Bernanke, šef Federalnih rezervi, objasnio u srijedu članovima američkog Kongresa da je velika kriza na tržištu nekretnina, začinjena problemima u zajmovnom i financijskom sektoru, dovela ekonomiju “u vrlo delikatnu situaciju”.
- Recesija je sasvim moguća - priznao je Bernanke i rekao da ekonomija trenutačno raste vrlo malom stopom, no postoji šansa da prva polovica godine završi s malim negativnim predznakom.
Prema ocjenama washingtonskih analitičara, šest uzastopnih mjeseci negativne stope rasta znači - recesiju.
- Recesija je, zapravo, vrlo neprecizan tehnički termin... Bez obzira na to kako to nazvali, još uvijek nisam spreman kazati je li ekonomija došla u odgovarajuću situaciju.” Bez obzira na to je li ekonomija ušla u prvu recesiju poslije 2001. - a mnogi ekonomisti vjeruju da jest - sve su nervozniji vlasnici kuća koje su morali vratiti bankama, banke koje moraju baratati s bankrotiranim dužnicima, oni koji su izgubili posao, investitori, kongresmeni na Capitol Hillu...
Jak vjetar u prsa
Iz Federalnih su rezervi već u nekoliko navrata smanjivali (osnovne) kamatne stope koje sada iznose 2,25 posto, a uskoro bi mogle potonuti i na jedva 1,5 posto. Novac postaje vrlo jeftin...
- Borimo se protiv jakog vjetra u prsa. Za sada uspijevamo u dobroj mjeri amortizirati negativne učinke iz smjera kriznih financijskih sektora - opisuje situaciju Bernanke,
Šef Federalnih rezervi očekuje da ekonomski rast krene uzbrdo u drugoj polovici godine i nastavi se u 2009. Američka je vlada, uz već smanjenje kamata - kreirala 168 milijardi dolara vrijedan paket poreznih olakšica za građane i poduzeća.
Nezaposlenost
Stopa nezaposlenosti od 4,8 posto mogla bi se početi približavati dvoznamenkastoj granici, kazao je Bernanke.
