Split ide po domaćinstvo Europskih igara. Što će se dogoditi, kako će u konačnici glasovati splitski gradski vijećnici ostaje da vidimo. 

Isto kao što treba vidjeti i što će odlučiti čelnici europskog olimpijskog pokreta. No, u materijalima koji će se naći pred gradskim vijećnicima na idućoj sjednici 15. rujna trebao bi biti elaborat vezan uz Europske igre, cilja se domaćinstvo 2027. godine.

Riječ je o multisportskom događaju koji je na neki način prethodnica Olimpijskih igara, a za veliki broj sportova nosit će kvalifikacijske norme za Olimpijske igre koje će se 2028. održati u Los Angelesu. Prilika je to da oči čitave Europe, ali i ostatka svijeta, budu uperene u Split. Prilika je da grad pod Marjanom opet odijene ruho “najsportskijeg grada na svitu”, odnosno da i infrastrukturom vrati taj status kojeg sportaši “na mišiće” nekako održavaju.

Ili, kako je Željko Jerkov lijepo kazao, prekretnica je ovo za sami grad, hoće li ostati velika periferija ili postati mali velegrad.

Mediteranske igre su sedamdesetih godina prošlog stoljeća pokrenule grad, sada evo prilike da se to još jednom dogodi, na novoj razini. 

Baš će Jerkov prezentirati vijećnicima benefite koje bi te Igre donijele. A danas će u Splitu biti predsjednik Hrvatskog olimpijskog odbora Zlatko Mateša. Dolazi na Europsko prvenstvo u vaterpolu, a baš je Mateša jedan od pokretača ovog natjecanja koje je 2015. ugostio Baku (Azerbajdžan), 2019. Minsk (Bjelorusija), a 2023. će domaćin biti poljski Krakow.

No, stiže, kako neslužbeno doznajemo, i bivši grčki vaterpolist, a danas predsjednik Europskih olimpijskih odbora, Grk Spyros Capralos. Vidit će iz prve ruke spektakularnu organizaciju Europskog prvenstav u avterpolu kao preporuku i za taj multisportski događaj. Uglavnom, priča nije zamrla, daleko od toga. Bile bi to ne splitske, već hrvatske Igre koje se održavaju u Splitu. Jer izazov je ogroman, traži se elika logistika, ali je i velika prilika. Čekamo 15. rujna. 

P.S.: Sjednica Gradskog vijeća pada baš na dan otvorenja Mediteranskih igara 1979., ujedno i dan splitskog sporta.

Split ide po domaćinstvo Europskih igara. Što će se dogoditi, kako će u konačnici glasovati splitski gradski vijećnici ostaje da vidimo. 

Isto kao što treba vidjeti i što će odlučiti čelnici europskog olimpijskog pokreta. No, u materijalima koji će se naći pred gradskim vijećnicima na idućoj sjednici 15. rujna trebao bi biti elaborat vezan uz Europske igre, cilja se domaćinstvo 2027. godine.

Riječ je o multisportskom događaju koji je na neki način prethodnica Olimpijskih igara, a za veliki broj sportova nosit će kvalifikacijske norme za Olimpijske igre koje će se 2028. održati u Los Angelesu. Prilika je to da oči čitave Europe, ali i ostatka svijeta, budu uperene u Split. Prilika je da grad pod Marjanom opet odijene ruho “najsportskijeg grada na svitu”, odnosno da i infrastrukturom vrati taj status kojeg sportaši “na mišiće” nekako održavaju.

Ili, kako je Željko Jerkov lijepo kazao, prekretnica je ovo za sami grad, hoće li ostati velika periferija ili postati mali velegrad.

Mediteranske igre su sedamdesetih godina prošlog stoljeća pokrenule grad, sada evo prilike da se to još jednom dogodi, na novoj razini. 

Baš će Jerkov prezentirati vijećnicima benefite koje bi te Igre donijele. A danas će u Splitu biti predsjednik Hrvatskog olimpijskog odbora Zlatko Mateša. Dolazi na Europsko prvenstvo u vaterpolu, a baš je Mateša jedan od pokretača ovog natjecanja koje je 2015. ugostio Baku (Azerbajdžan), 2019. Minsk (Bjelorusija), a 2023. će domaćin biti poljski Krakow.

No, stiže, kako neslužbeno doznajemo, i bivši grčki vaterpolist, a danas predsjednik Europskih olimpijskih odbora, Grk Spyros Capralos. Vidit će iz prve ruke spektakularnu organizaciju Europskog prvenstav u avterpolu kao preporuku i za taj multisportski događaj. Uglavnom, priča nije zamrla, daleko od toga. Bile bi to ne splitske, već hrvatske Igre koje se održavaju u Splitu. Jer izazov je ogroman, traži se elika logistika, ali je i velika prilika. Čekamo 15. rujna. 

P.S.: Sjednica Gradskog vijeća pada baš na dan otvorenja Mediteranskih igara 1979., ujedno i dan splitskog sporta.

Split ide po Europske igre: na polufinale u Spaladium stižu Mateša i Grk Capralos, predsjednik Europskih olimpijskih odbora

Split ide po domaćinstvo Europskih igara. Što će se dogoditi, kako će u konačnici glasovati splitski gradski vijećnici ostaje da vidimo. 

Isto kao što treba vidjeti i što će odlučiti čelnici europskog olimpijskog pokreta. No, u materijalima koji će se naći pred gradskim vijećnicima na idućoj sjednici 15. rujna trebao bi biti elaborat vezan uz Europske igre, cilja se domaćinstvo 2027. godine.

Riječ je o multisportskom događaju koji je na neki način prethodnica Olimpijskih igara, a za veliki broj sportova nosit će kvalifikacijske norme za Olimpijske igre koje će se 2028. održati u Los Angelesu. Prilika je to da oči čitave Europe, ali i ostatka svijeta, budu uperene u Split. Prilika je da grad pod Marjanom opet odijene ruho “najsportskijeg grada na svitu”, odnosno da i infra...
