Nova godina, novi početak, ali stari problemi za Marina Čilića. Najbolji hrvatski tenisač u posljednjih 15 godina opet je u problemima s ozljedom.

Putem svog profila na Instagramu objavio je kako ponovo mora na određenu stanku zbog koje će propustiti sljedeća dva turnira koja je planirao igrati - pišu Sportske novosti.

- Žao mi je što moram objaviti da zbog manje ozljede, koju sam zadobio u svom posljednjem meču, moram skratiti svoju turneju u Južnoj Americi, kako bih sanirao ozljedu na pravi način - poručio je 35-godišnjak iz Međugorja.

- Hvala svima u Buenos Airesu na nevjerojatnom gostoprimstvu, volio bih da sam ostao malo duže ovdje.

Marin je ovog tjedna igrao na ATP turniru u argentinskoj metropoli, gdje je poražen u 1. kolu od Lasla Đerea, a sljedeći turniri u rasporedu trebali su mu biti u Rio de Janeiru te potom i u čileanskom Santiagu. No, sada je jasno da tamo neće ići.

- Hvala organizatorima turnira u Riju i Santiagu na pruženoj prilici, shrvan sam što ću propustiti iskustvo igranja pred vašim sjajnim navijačima. Obećajem da ćemo to nadoknaditi u budućnosti.

Inače, u spomenutom meču protiv Đerea, Marin je dobio prvi set, ali i izgubio treći sa 6:0, čemu je očito kumovala i ozljeda.

Kakav je točno problem u pitanju, Čilić nije definirao, pa se može samo pretpostaviti da se ponovo radi o koljenu koje ga je i odvojilo od terena punih 12 mjeseci. Osvajač US Opena (2014.) u siječnju prošle godine podvrgnuo se operaciji desnog koljena (meniskus), pa se pokušao vratiti šest mjeseci kasnije u Umagu, ali ispostavilo se da je to bilo prebrzo. U jedinom meču koji je odigrao na jedinom hrvatskom ATP turniru obnovio je ozljedu, pa je opet pauzirao i u drugoj polovici sezone.

Tako je pravi povratak na teniske terene uslijedio s početkom 2024., no u dosadašnja četiri nastupa (tri ATP turnira + Davis Cup) upisao je četiri poraza. Zbog dugačke stanke izgubio je i bodove za ATP renking te je pao na sadašnje 1044. mjesto ljestvice. No, jasno da mu je to najmanja briga jer uspije li "vratiti" koljeno, odnosno vratiti se u zadovoljavajuće zdravstveno zdravlje, vratit će se s vremenom i forma, a time i renking.

Inače, Marin je sezonu otvorio turnirom u Hong Kongu uoči Australian Opena, da bi još prije ove turneje po Južnoj Americi, koja se, eto, nažalost na kraju pretvorila u jednokratnu etapu, igrao za reprezentaciju u Davis Cupu, u Varaždinu protiv Belgije. No, i tamo nije bio u idealnom stanju.

- Nisam mogao ni trčati u prvih par dana nakon povratka s Australian Opena - rekao je tada Marin.

U međuvremenu se koljeno "otkočilo", odigrao je u Varaždinu meč, pa i sada u Buenos Airesu, ali moguće da je još jedno dugačko putovanje s jednog na drugi kontinent imalo utjecaja na fizičko stanje. Opet, to je samo nagađanje, kao što je i zbog nepotpune informacije o naravi (nove) ozljede, nemoguće znati koliko će ovog puta Marin izbivati s terena.

Ono što je donekle dobro jest da je istaknuo kako je riječ "o manjoj ozljedi" te da je odustao od naredna dva turnira, odnosno da nije spominjao razdoblje duže od ta sljedeća dva tjedna, barem nije zasad. Nadamo se da će tako i ostati, štoviše da ova ozljeda nije ozbiljnije naravi i da bi Marin Čilić mogao biti spreman za Indian Wells, prvi ovosezonski Masters 1000 turnir koji starta 4. ožujka.

Nova godina, novi početak, ali stari problemi za Marina Čilića. Najbolji hrvatski tenisač u posljednjih 15 godina opet je u problemima s ozljedom.

Putem svog profila na Instagramu objavio je kako ponovo mora na određenu stanku zbog koje će propustiti sljedeća dva turnira koja je planirao igrati - pišu Sportske novosti.

- Žao mi je što moram objaviti da zbog manje ozljede, koju sam zadobio u svom posljednjem meču, moram skratiti svoju turneju u Južnoj Americi, kako bih sanirao ozljedu na pravi način - poručio je 35-godišnjak iz Međugorja.

- Hvala svima u Buenos Airesu na nevjerojatnom gostoprimstvu, volio bih da sam ostao malo duže ovdje.

Marin je ovog tjedna igrao na ATP turniru u argentinskoj metropoli, gdje je poražen u 1. kolu od Lasla Đerea, a sljedeći turniri u rasporedu trebali su mu biti u Rio de Janeiru te potom i u čileanskom Santiagu. No, sada je jasno da tamo neće ići.

- Hvala organizatorima turnira u Riju i Santiagu na pruženoj prilici, shrvan sam što ću propustiti iskustvo igranja pred vašim sjajnim navijačima. Obećajem da ćemo to nadoknaditi u budućnosti.

Inače, u spomenutom meču protiv Đerea, Marin je dobio prvi set, ali i izgubio treći sa 6:0, čemu je očito kumovala i ozljeda.

Kakav je točno problem u pitanju, Čilić nije definirao, pa se može samo pretpostaviti da se ponovo radi o koljenu koje ga je i odvojilo od terena punih 12 mjeseci. Osvajač US Opena (2014.) u siječnju prošle godine podvrgnuo se operaciji desnog koljena (meniskus), pa se pokušao vratiti šest mjeseci kasnije u Umagu, ali ispostavilo se da je to bilo prebrzo. U jedinom meču koji je odigrao na jedinom hrvatskom ATP turniru obnovio je ozljedu, pa je opet pauzirao i u drugoj polovici sezone.

Tako je pravi povratak na teniske terene uslijedio s početkom 2024., no u dosadašnja četiri nastupa (tri ATP turnira + Davis Cup) upisao je četiri poraza. Zbog dugačke stanke izgubio je i bodove za ATP renking te je pao na sadašnje 1044. mjesto ljestvice. No, jasno da mu je to najmanja briga jer uspije li "vratiti" koljeno, odnosno vratiti se u zadovoljavajuće zdravstveno zdravlje, vratit će se s vremenom i forma, a time i renking.

Inače, Marin je sezonu otvorio turnirom u Hong Kongu uoči Australian Opena, da bi još prije ove turneje po Južnoj Americi, koja se, eto, nažalost na kraju pretvorila u jednokratnu etapu, igrao za reprezentaciju u Davis Cupu, u Varaždinu protiv Belgije. No, i tamo nije bio u idealnom stanju.

- Nisam mogao ni trčati u prvih par dana nakon povratka s Australian Opena - rekao je tada Marin.

U međuvremenu se koljeno "otkočilo", odigrao je u Varaždinu meč, pa i sada u Buenos Airesu, ali moguće da je još jedno dugačko putovanje s jednog na drugi kontinent imalo utjecaja na fizičko stanje. Opet, to je samo nagađanje, kao što je i zbog nepotpune informacije o naravi (nove) ozljede, nemoguće znati koliko će ovog puta Marin izbivati s terena.

Ono što je donekle dobro jest da je istaknuo kako je riječ "o manjoj ozljedi" te da je odustao od naredna dva turnira, odnosno da nije spominjao razdoblje duže od ta sljedeća dva tjedna, barem nije zasad. Nadamo se da će tako i ostati, štoviše da ova ozljeda nije ozbiljnije naravi i da bi Marin Čilić mogao biti spreman za Indian Wells, prvi ovosezonski Masters 1000 turnir koji starta 4. ožujka.

Nova godina, novi početak, ali stari problemi za Marina Čilića. Najbolji hrvatski tenisač u posljednjih 15 godina opet je u problemima s ozljedom.

Putem svog profila na Instagramu objavio je kako ponovo mora na određenu stanku zbog koje će propustiti sljedeća dva turnira koja je planirao igrati - pišu Sportske novosti.
