Sportski arbitražni sud (CAS) je produljio suspenziju talijanskoj tenisačici Sari Errani, finalistici Roland-Garrosa iz 2012., na deset mjeseci nakon što je u kolovozu prošle godine suspendirana na dva mjeseca zbog kršenja antidopinških pravila, objavio je u ponedjeljak CAS.

Talijanku je na dva mjeseca u kolovozu prošle godine suspendirao neovisni sud Talijanskog teniskog saveza (ITF), nakon što je bila pozitivna na testiranju izvan natjecanja na letrozol, tvar koja može maskirati povećanu apsorpciju testosterona.

Errani se branila tvrdeći da je zabranjena suspstanca u njen organizam ušla "slučajnom kontaminacijom" jer je njena majka u to vrijeme uzimala lijek koji sadrži letrozol.

Svi rezultati koje je Sara Errani ostvarila u razdoblju od 16. veljače do 7. lipnja 2017. su poništeni.

Errani se žalila na odluku suda o poništavanju rezultata, a žalila se i Talijanska antidopinška agencija koja je tražila strožu kaznu za tenisačicu.

CAS je odbio žalbu tenisačice i odredio suspenziju od deset mjeseci koja stupa odmah na snagu.

Saru Errani, 74. na WTA ljestvici prije početka ovogodišnjeg Roland Garrosa, u prvom krugu tog grand slam turnira eliminirala je Francuskinja Alizé Cornet.

Sportski arbitražni sud (CAS) je produljio suspenziju talijanskoj tenisačici Sari Errani, finalistici Roland-Garrosa iz 2012., na deset mjeseci nakon što je u kolovozu prošle godine suspendirana na dva mjeseca zbog kršenja antidopinških pravila, objavio je u ponedjeljak CAS.

Talijanku je na dva mjeseca u kolovozu prošle godine suspendirao neovisni sud Talijanskog teniskog saveza (ITF), nakon što je bila pozitivna na testiranju izvan natjecanja na letrozol, tvar koja može maskirati povećanu apsorpciju testosterona.

Errani se branila tvrdeći da je zabranjena suspstanca u njen organizam ušla "slučajnom kontaminacijom" jer je njena majka u to vrijeme uzimala lijek koji sadrži letrozol.

Svi rezultati koje je Sara Errani ostvarila u razdoblju od 16. veljače do 7. lipnja 2017. su poništeni.

Errani se žalila na odluku suda o poništavanju rezultata, a žalila se i Talijanska antidopinška agencija koja je tražila strožu kaznu za tenisačicu.

CAS je odbio žalbu tenisačice i odredio suspenziju od deset mjeseci koja stupa odmah na snagu.

Saru Errani, 74. na WTA ljestvici prije početka ovogodišnjeg Roland Garrosa, u prvom krugu tog grand slam turnira eliminirala je Francuskinja Alizé Cornet.
