Argentina je svladala Hrvatsku sa 4-1 u četvrtfinalnom dvoboju Davis Cupa tenisača odigranom u Buenos Airesu. Nakon što je Juan Martin Del Potro u prvom nedjeljnom susretu svladao Marina Čilića sa 6-1, 6-2, 6-1 i tako Argentini osigurao pobjedu, u posljednjem susretu Juan Monaco je nadigrao Antonija Veića sa 6-1, 6-1.

Hrvatska i Argentina tri su se puta dosada sastajale u Davis Cupu, sva tri puta je to bilo u četvrtfinalu i svaki je put uspješnija bila Argentina, 2002., 2006. i 2012. godine.

Prolaskom u četvrtfinale Hrvatska je osigurala nastup u Svjetskoj skupini Davis Cupa i sljedeće godine.

- Presudio je manjak benzina u mojim nogama - rekao je Marin Čilić.

- Glava je htjela, ali noge nisu slušale. Imao sam taktički plan koji je bio takav da moram igrati agresivno jer nisam bio spreman za novo trčanje tri-četiri sata. Pokušao sam igrati kako je trebalo, ali bilo je jako puno neprisiljenih pogrešaka jer nije lako igrati protiv ovakvog Del Potra. Igrao je dosta čvrsto, bez puno pogrešaka, jako dobro je servirao...

Uoči ovog susreta dio hrvatske javnosti ispratio je reprezentaciju u Buenos Aires kao gotovo potpunog autsajdera, no stvarnost se pokazala drugačijom. Što to govori?

- Pokazali smo opet da smo jako dobra reprezentacija iako nismo tako široki s igračima kao Argentina. Za reprezentaciju ostavljamo srce na igralištu. Nije nam bilo lako igrati pred ovakvom publikom i protiv ovakvog protivnika, ali imali smo šansu. Nažalost, u paru je odlučilo nekoliko poena i idemo kući s porazom, ali dignute glave. Pokazali smo da smo dobra reprezentacija sa svijetlom budućnošću - kaže Čilić.

Kako je zbog ozljede morao propustiti susret s Japanom u veljači Marinu Čiliću ovo je bilo prvi put da je u reprezentaciji surađivao s izbornikom Željkom Krajanom. Kakvi su dojmovi?

- Ocjena je: super! Bio sam jako zadovoljan savjetima tijekom mečeva, zna dosta o igri, davao mi je pravovremene savjete i jedva čekam novo druženje u reprezentaciji - rekao je Čilić.

Završnu ocjenu dao je sam izbornik:

- Po rezultatu je bilo uvjerljivo, lagano, ali svi smo vidjeli da su subotnji parovi mogli otići na našu stranu, a time i vodstvo 2-1. Bili bismo u prednosti, ali i dalje daleko od toga da bismo pobijedili Argentinu s ovakvim Del Potrom i svježim Monacom. Dečki su odigrali jako dobro tijekom vikenda i mogu biti samo ponosan na njih i cijeli tim. Ostavili su svu snagu na igralištu . Vidjelo se da je Marinu u nedjelju nedostajalo 20-30% više, što je posljedica dugog igranja u petak i subotu. Završilo je očekivano, pobjedom Argentine, ali se pokazalo da nije bilo onako uvjerljivo kako se očekivalo - rekao je Krajan.

Hrvatska teniska reprezentacija izgubila je četvrtfinalni susret Davis Cupa od Argentine na gostovanju u Buenos Airesu. Argentina je povela s nedostižnih 3-1 zahvaljujući uvjerljivoj 6-1, 6-2, 6-1 pobjedi Juana Martina Del Potra protiv Marina Čilića u prvom nedjeljnom dvoboju, te tako izborila plasman u polufinale.

Hrvatska i Argentina tri su se puta dosada sastajale u Davis Cupu, sva tri puta je to bilo u četvrtfinalu i svaki je put uspješnija bila Argentina, 2002., 2006. i 2012. godine.

Bio je ovo sedmi međusobni susret Čilića i Del Potra i peta pobjeda najboljeg argentinskog igrača. Ove godine igrali su dva puta i oba je puta uspješniji bio Del Potro.

Čilić je u petak i subotu proveo na terenu više od 10 sati i od samoga početka dvoboja protiv Del Potra bilo je jasno da nema snage nositi se s trenutačno desetim igračem svijeta koji je usto i u odličnoj formi.

Argentina će u polufinalu od 14. do 16. rujna ugostiti Češku, dok će u drugom polufinalu igrati prošlogodišnji pobjednik Španjolska i SAD.

Argentina je svladala Hrvatsku sa 4-1 u četvrtfinalnom dvoboju Davis Cupa tenisača odigranom u Buenos Airesu. Nakon što je Juan Martin Del Potro u prvom nedjeljnom susretu svladao Marina Čilića sa 6-1, 6-2, 6-1 i tako Argentini osigurao pobjedu, u posljednjem susretu Juan Monaco je nadigrao Antonija Veića sa 6-1, 6-1.

Hrvatska i Argentina tri su se puta dosada sastajale u Davis Cupu, sva tri puta je to bilo u četvrtfinalu i svaki je put uspješnija bila Argentina, 2002., 2006. i 2012. godine.

Prolaskom u četvrtfinale Hrvatska je osigurala nastup u Svjetskoj skupini Davis Cupa i sljedeće godine.

- Presudio je manjak benzina u mojim nogama - rekao je Marin Čilić.

- Glava je htjela, ali noge nisu slušale. Imao sam taktički plan koji je bio takav da moram igrati agresivno jer nisam bio spreman za novo trčanje tri-četiri sata. Pokušao sam igrati kako je trebalo, ali bilo je jako puno neprisiljenih pogrešaka jer nije lako igrati protiv ovakvog Del Potra. Igrao je dosta čvrsto, bez puno pogrešaka, jako dobro je servirao...

Uoči ovog susreta dio hrvatske javnosti ispratio je reprezentaciju u Buenos Aires kao gotovo potpunog autsajdera, no stvarnost se pokazala drugačijom. Što to govori?

- Pokazali smo opet da smo jako dobra reprezentacija iako nismo tako široki s igračima kao Argentina. Za reprezentaciju ostavljamo srce na igralištu. Nije nam bilo lako igrati pred ovakvom publikom i protiv ovakvog protivnika, ali imali smo šansu. Nažalost, u paru je odlučilo nekoliko poena i idemo kući s porazom, ali dignute glave. Pokazali smo da smo dobra reprezentacija sa svijetlom budućnošću - kaže Čilić.

Kako je zbog ozljede morao propustiti susret s Japanom u veljači Marinu Čiliću ovo je bilo prvi put da je u reprezentaciji surađivao s izbornikom Željkom Krajanom. Kakvi su dojmovi?

- Ocjena je: super! Bio sam jako zadovoljan savjetima tijekom mečeva, zna dosta o igri, davao mi je pravovremene savjete i jedva čekam novo druženje u reprezentaciji - rekao je Čilić.

Završnu ocjenu dao je sam izbornik:

- Po rezultatu je bilo uvjerljivo, lagano, ali svi smo vidjeli da su subotnji parovi mogli otići na našu stranu, a time i vodstvo 2-1. Bili bismo u prednosti, ali i dalje daleko od toga da bismo pobijedili Argentinu s ovakvim Del Potrom i svježim Monacom. Dečki su odigrali jako dobro tijekom vikenda i mogu biti samo ponosan na njih i cijeli tim. Ostavili su svu snagu na igralištu . Vidjelo se da je Marinu u nedjelju nedostajalo 20-30% više, što je posljedica dugog igranja u petak i subotu. Završilo je očekivano, pobjedom Argentine, ali se pokazalo da nije bilo onako uvjerljivo kako se očekivalo - rekao je Krajan.

Hrvatska teniska reprezentacija izgubila je četvrtfinalni susret Davis Cupa od Argentine na gostovanju u Buenos Airesu. Argentina je povela s nedostižnih 3-1 zahvaljujući uvjerljivoj 6-1, 6-2, 6-1 pobjedi Juana Martina Del Potra protiv Marina Čilića u prvom nedjeljnom dvoboju, te tako izborila plasman u polufinale.

Hrvatska i Argentina tri su se puta dosada sastajale u Davis Cupu, sva tri puta je to bilo u četvrtfinalu i svaki je put uspješnija bila Argentina, 2002., 2006. i 2012. godine.

Bio je ovo sedmi međusobni susret Čilića i Del Potra i peta pobjeda najboljeg argentinskog igrača. Ove godine igrali su dva puta i oba je puta uspješniji bio Del Potro.

Čilić je u petak i subotu proveo na terenu više od 10 sati i od samoga početka dvoboja protiv Del Potra bilo je jasno da nema snage nositi se s trenutačno desetim igračem svijeta koji je usto i u odličnoj formi.

Argentina će u polufinalu od 14. do 16. rujna ugostiti Češku, dok će u drugom polufinalu igrati prošlogodišnji pobjednik Španjolska i SAD.
