Ako je Pep Guardiola sinonim za tika-taku, napadački, kombinatorni nogomet, ništa manji nije ni barem jednako osebujan lik 2006. Luis Enrique. Imali su i slične trenerske početke, kao klupske legende u drugoj momčadi Barcelone, uz kasniju eksploziju na klupi prve momčadi. Međutim, dok se Guardiola zadržao u klupskim, njegov po rezultatima jedini legitimni nasljednik na klupi Barcelone Enrique otplovio je potom u reprezentativne vode.

Sve se to zakuhalo ranije, kada su kao igrači dijelili svlačionicu u Barceloni. I nogometne vizije. Često su tada razgovarali o taktici. A kada je kao prvi trenerski posao Enrique 2006. trebao preuzeti Nastic de Tarragonu, pomoćnik mu je trebao biti Guardiola. Kasnije su paralelno dugo radili kao treneri prve odnosno druge momčadi Barcelone.

Počeo je Enrique 2008. u Barceloni B. Vodio je potom Romu s kojom je ispao u play offu EL od Slovana iz Bratislave i na kraju sezone nije izborio Europu, Celtu. S Barcom je u prvoj sezoni 2015. osvojio sve, prvenstvo, kup, LP, europski Superkup, Svjetsko prvenstvo. Dogodine domaću duplu krunu. Potpisao je i onih čudesnih 6:1 nakon 0:4 poraza kod PSG-a u LP-a. Međutim, nakon isteka ugovora 2017. je otišao. A godinu kasnije preuzeo je reprezentaciju kojoj je nakon SP-a 2018. i povlačenja Inieste, Davida Silve, Piquea trebao potpuni remont u kvalifikacijama za Euro.

No, u lipnju 2019. Enrique se povukao iz privatnih razloga. Dva mjeseca kasnije umrla je njegova kći Xana (9) koja je imala rak kostiju. U vrijeme dok je prolazio kalvariju vođenje reprezentacije preuzeo je njegov dugogodišnji prvi suradnik Robert Moreno. Kvalifikacije je završio bez poraza. Međutim, kada se pet mjeseci poslije Enrique vratio na klupu, između njih je puklo. Enrique je potjerao Morena iz stožera.

- Mislim da njegovo ponašanje nije bilo lojalno – rekao je na povratničkoj presici Enrique.

Imao je Enrique hrabrosti postati prvi izbornik koji na veliki turnir nije pozvao nijednog nogometaša Real Madrida. Dio medija blizak kraljevskom klubu uzroke je pronašao u njegovoj igračkoj karijeri. Nakon što je stasao kroz Sporting iz Gijona pet je godina proveo u Realu prije nego što je po isteku ugovora prešao u redove najljućeg rivala Barcelone.

- Nisam osjetio da me u Realu dovoljno cijene – objašnjavao je tada taj potez Enrique.

U Kataloniji je igrao osam godina. Dočekan je sa zadrškom, ali nosio je kasnije čak i kapetansku traku. U Madridu mu to pogotovo spočitavaju zato što je na Euro pozvao samo 24 igrača, a mogao je 26. No, to je samo novi dokaz njegove tvrdoglavosti. U jednoj kup utakmici Barcelone nije želio uvesti treću zamjenu nakon ozljede svog igrača jer nije htio da se kod vodstva 6:1 još netko ozljedi.

Enrique kod igrača inzistira na fizičkoj pripremljenosti. To je i objašnjenje zašto nema u momčadi onih koji nisu redovno igrali u završnici sezone poput Sergija Ramosa. Nema ni drugih zvijezda. Enrique voli imati svlačionicu pod kontrolom. Ali je taj „fetiš” i objašnjenje njegovih hobija. Enrique je 2007. bio sudionik Frankfurt Ironman challengea, a 2008. je pretrčao Pješčani (Saharski) maraton, najtežu utrku na svijetu. U šest dana ultramaratona u Maroku pretrčao je 251 kilometar! Nakon igračke karijere jedno vrijeme živio je u Australiji kako bi surfao.

Ako je Pep Guardiola sinonim za tika-taku, napadački, kombinatorni nogomet, ništa manji nije ni barem jednako osebujan lik 2006. Luis Enrique. Imali su i slične trenerske početke, kao klupske legende u drugoj momčadi Barcelone, uz kasniju eksploziju na klupi prve momčadi. Međutim, dok se Guardiola zadržao u klupskim, njegov po rezultatima jedini legitimni nasljednik na klupi Barcelone Enrique otplovio je potom u reprezentativne vode.

Sve se to zakuhalo ranije, kada su kao igrači dijelili svlačionicu u Barceloni. I nogometne vizije. Često su tada razgovarali o taktici. A kada je kao prvi trenerski posao Enrique 2006. trebao preuzeti Nastic de Tarragonu, pomoćnik mu je trebao biti Guardiola. Kasnije su paralelno dugo radili kao treneri prve odnosno druge momčadi Barcelone.

Počeo je Enrique 2008. u Barceloni B. Vodio je potom Romu s kojom je ispao u play offu EL od Slovana iz Bratislave i na kraju sezone nije izborio Europu, Celtu. S Barcom je u prvoj sezoni 2015. osvojio sve, prvenstvo, kup, LP, europski Superkup, Svjetsko prvenstvo. Dogodine domaću duplu krunu. Potpisao je i onih čudesnih 6:1 nakon 0:4 poraza kod PSG-a u LP-a. Međutim, nakon isteka ugovora 2017. je otišao. A godinu kasnije preuzeo je reprezentaciju kojoj je nakon SP-a 2018. i povlačenja Inieste, Davida Silve, Piquea trebao potpuni remont u kvalifikacijama za Euro.

No, u lipnju 2019. Enrique se povukao iz privatnih razloga. Dva mjeseca kasnije umrla je njegova kći Xana (9) koja je imala rak kostiju. U vrijeme dok je prolazio kalvariju vođenje reprezentacije preuzeo je njegov dugogodišnji prvi suradnik Robert Moreno. Kvalifikacije je završio bez poraza. Međutim, kada se pet mjeseci poslije Enrique vratio na klupu, između njih je puklo. Enrique je potjerao Morena iz stožera.

- Mislim da njegovo ponašanje nije bilo lojalno – rekao je na povratničkoj presici Enrique.

Imao je Enrique hrabrosti postati prvi izbornik koji na veliki turnir nije pozvao nijednog nogometaša Real Madrida. Dio medija blizak kraljevskom klubu uzroke je pronašao u njegovoj igračkoj karijeri. Nakon što je stasao kroz Sporting iz Gijona pet je godina proveo u Realu prije nego što je po isteku ugovora prešao u redove najljućeg rivala Barcelone.

- Nisam osjetio da me u Realu dovoljno cijene – objašnjavao je tada taj potez Enrique.

U Kataloniji je igrao osam godina. Dočekan je sa zadrškom, ali nosio je kasnije čak i kapetansku traku. U Madridu mu to pogotovo spočitavaju zato što je na Euro pozvao samo 24 igrača, a mogao je 26. No, to je samo novi dokaz njegove tvrdoglavosti. U jednoj kup utakmici Barcelone nije želio uvesti treću zamjenu nakon ozljede svog igrača jer nije htio da se kod vodstva 6:1 još netko ozljedi.

Enrique kod igrača inzistira na fizičkoj pripremljenosti. To je i objašnjenje zašto nema u momčadi onih koji nisu redovno igrali u završnici sezone poput Sergija Ramosa. Nema ni drugih zvijezda. Enrique voli imati svlačionicu pod kontrolom. Ali je taj „fetiš” i objašnjenje njegovih hobija. Enrique je 2007. bio sudionik Frankfurt Ironman challengea, a 2008. je pretrčao Pješčani (Saharski) maraton, najtežu utrku na svijetu. U šest dana ultramaratona u Maroku pretrčao je 251 kilometar! Nakon igračke karijere jedno vrijeme živio je u Australiji kako bi surfao.

Ako je Pep Guardiola sinonim za tika-taku, napadački, kombinatorni nogomet, ništa manji nije ni barem jednako osebujan lik 2006. Luis Enrique. Imali su i slične trenerske početke, kao klupske legende u drugoj momčadi Barcelone, uz kasniju eksploziju na klupi prve momčadi. Međutim, dok se Guardiola zadržao u klupskim, njegov po rezultatima jedini legitimni nasljednik na klupi Barcelone Enrique otplovio je potom u reprezentativne vode.

Sve se to zakuhalo ranije, kada su kao igrači dijelili svlačionicu u Barceloni. I nogometne vizije. Često su tada razgovarali o taktici. A kada je kao prvi trenerski posao Enrique 2006. trebao preuzeti Nastic de Tarragonu, pomoćnik mu je trebao biti Guardiola. Kasnije su paralelno dugo radili kao treneri prve odnosno druge momčadi Barcelone.
