Gdje je nestao čovjek...? Finale Lige prvaka Real Madrid – Liverpool u svibnju 2018. godine u Kijevu bila je posljednja utakmica na kojoj je čuvar mreže kluba s Anfielda bio Loris Karius. Poklopilo se da će finale Lige prvaka Real – Liverpool 28. svibnja na Stade de Franceu biti i posljednja utakmica Kariusa kao vratara Liverpoola. Barem na papiru, pod ugovorom. Makar će biti blizu nastupu među vratnicama u pariškom predgrađu St. Denis valjda jednako kao i potpisnik ovih redaka. Dapače, čini se da je jedina prednost njemačkog vratara u toj „utrci” što je pod ugovorom s Liverpoolom. Vjerovali ili ne – još uvijek jest. Ali broji zadnje dane, broji sitno.

Gotovo točno četiri godine nakon što je bio ključni protagonist poraza Liverpoola u finalu LP-a od kraljevskog kluba u danas ratom pogođenom Kijevu (1:3), Karius broji zadnje dane ugovora s engleskim klubom. Tog 26. svibnja 2018. Liverpool na travnjaku nije bio ništa lošiji od Reala, ali je imao seriju pehova, ili kako se tada pojednostavljeno pisalo – Karius na jedinici. No, nisu svemu kumovale samo katastrofalne reakcije njemačkog vratara. Prvo je Mohamed Salah morao izaći iz igre još u prvom poluvremenu jer je nakon „judo” starta Sergija Ramosa u padu ozlijedio rame. Tek tada je u nastavku na scenu stupio Karius. Prvo je i doslovno poklonio loptu Karimu Benzemi za vodstvo Reala. Potom je nakon izjednačenja Sadija Manea spektakularnim škaricama zabio i Gareth Bale. Na kraju je isti igrač zabio i treći gol, dalekometnim šutem kroz ruke Kariusa. Tek u idućim danima, nakon pregleda u SAD-u gdje je bio na odmoru, saznalo se kako je Karius branio s potresom mozga. Vjerojatno ga je zaradio nakon što se u njega zabio Ramos (opet) i laktom ga pogodio u glavu. Taj incident dogodio se baš tri minute prije nego što je poklonio prvi gol Realu.

Poslije susreta Karius se u suzama ispričavao navijačima Liverpoola svjestan kako je zbog njega momčad izgubila finale. Tih dana Karius i njegova obitelj primali su putem društvenih mreža čak i prijetnje smrću „navijača”. A taj susret, njegov posljednji u dresu Liverpoola, zapečatio je i njegovu karijeru. U trenucima kada se igralo to za njega nesretno finale, imao je samo 24 godine, branio je za jedan od najboljih klubova Europe u najvažnijoj klupskoj utakmici na svijetu. Teško se može očekivati više u tim godinama. Ali nakon tih 90 minuta baš sve je krenulo nizbrdo.

U lipnju 2018. Liverpool je kao prvog vratara angažirao Alissona Beckera iz Rome za 62,5 milijuna eura. To je u to vrijeme bio rekordni transfer nekog vratara. Iduće dvije sezone proveo je Karius na posudbi u Bešiktašu, ali u Turskoj ga je pratio duh Kijeva. Ujedno je i klub bio u financijskim problemima. Zbog neisplata plaća je i prijevremeno napustio klub iz Istanbula. Potom je sezonu 2020/21 proveo u njemačkom Union Berlinu, ali ni taj klub nije odlučio otkupiti njegov ugovor. Spustio se pritom još stepenicu niže ne samo po renomeu kluba, nego i generalno. U Berlinu nije čak bio ni prvi izbor među vratnicama, uglavnom je grijao klupu. Upisao je cijele sezone samo pet nastupa, ali najgore je tek uslijedilo ove sezone. Ljetos nije uspio pronaći (adekvatan) angažman. Kao ni zimus. Možda je imao prevelika (financijska i sportska) očekivanja. Ostao je stoga u Liverpoolu s kojim ga ugovor veže do kraja sezone, ali ga i doslovno nema ni na mapi.

Cijele sezone je ostao bez ijednog nastupa u svim natjecanjima, čak nijednom nije bio niti na klupi. U Liverpoolu na njega odavno ne računaju. Prvi vratar je Becker, drugi Caoimhin Kelleher, treći Adrian. A od zime nije više niti u kadru jer je dolaskom Kolumbijca Luisa Diaza postao prekobrojan u kvoti stranaca, pa od tada nije niti prijavljen za nastupe u Premiershipu. Dobio je zimus slobodne ruke da može otići od trenera Jürgena Kloppa, bez odštete, ali je ostao. A još jesenas je talijanskom novinaru Fabriziju Romanu istaknuo.

- Nakon svega što se dogodilo 2018., prvi put kada sam se vratio na Anfield navijači su mi priredili ovacije i skandirali su moje ime. Bilo je lijepo to vidjeti. Na internetu uvijek ima budala, ali pravi navijači Liverpoola su uvijek iza tebe.

Kraj Kari(jer)usa? Ili prigoda za neki novi početak vratara koji će za mjesec i pol dana napuniti 29 godina što su za njegovu profesiju ponajbolje godine? Za novi start zaboravljenog antijunaka baš od nule.

Gdje je nestao čovjek...? Finale Lige prvaka Real Madrid – Liverpool u svibnju 2018. godine u Kijevu bila je posljednja utakmica na kojoj je čuvar mreže kluba s Anfielda bio Loris Karius. Poklopilo se da će finale Lige prvaka Real – Liverpool 28. svibnja na Stade de Franceu biti i posljednja utakmica Kariusa kao vratara Liverpoola. Barem na papiru, pod ugovorom. Makar će biti blizu nastupu među vratnicama u pariškom predgrađu St. Denis valjda jednako kao i potpisnik ovih redaka. Dapače, čini se da je jedina prednost njemačkog vratara u toj „utrci” što je pod ugovorom s Liverpoolom. Vjerovali ili ne – još uvijek jest. Ali broji zadnje dane, broji sitno.

Gotovo točno četiri godine nakon što je bio ključni protagonist poraza Liverpoola u finalu LP-a od kraljevskog kluba u danas ratom pogođenom Kijevu (1:3), Karius broji zadnje dane ugovora s engleskim klubom. Tog 26. svibnja 2018. Liverpool na travnjaku nije bio ništa lošiji od Reala, ali je imao seriju pehova, ili kako se tada pojednostavljeno pisalo – Karius na jedinici. No, nisu svemu kumovale samo katastrofalne reakcije njemačkog vratara. Prvo je Mohamed Salah morao izaći iz igre još u prvom poluvremenu jer je nakon „judo” starta Sergija Ramosa u padu ozlijedio rame. Tek tada je u nastavku na scenu stupio Karius. Prvo je i doslovno poklonio loptu Karimu Benzemi za vodstvo Reala. Potom je nakon izjednačenja Sadija Manea spektakularnim škaricama zabio i Gareth Bale. Na kraju je isti igrač zabio i treći gol, dalekometnim šutem kroz ruke Kariusa. Tek u idućim danima, nakon pregleda u SAD-u gdje je bio na odmoru, saznalo se kako je Karius branio s potresom mozga. Vjerojatno ga je zaradio nakon što se u njega zabio Ramos (opet) i laktom ga pogodio u glavu. Taj incident dogodio se baš tri minute prije nego što je poklonio prvi gol Realu.

Poslije susreta Karius se u suzama ispričavao navijačima Liverpoola svjestan kako je zbog njega momčad izgubila finale. Tih dana Karius i njegova obitelj primali su putem društvenih mreža čak i prijetnje smrću „navijača”. A taj susret, njegov posljednji u dresu Liverpoola, zapečatio je i njegovu karijeru. U trenucima kada se igralo to za njega nesretno finale, imao je samo 24 godine, branio je za jedan od najboljih klubova Europe u najvažnijoj klupskoj utakmici na svijetu. Teško se može očekivati više u tim godinama. Ali nakon tih 90 minuta baš sve je krenulo nizbrdo.

U lipnju 2018. Liverpool je kao prvog vratara angažirao Alissona Beckera iz Rome za 62,5 milijuna eura. To je u to vrijeme bio rekordni transfer nekog vratara. Iduće dvije sezone proveo je Karius na posudbi u Bešiktašu, ali u Turskoj ga je pratio duh Kijeva. Ujedno je i klub bio u financijskim problemima. Zbog neisplata plaća je i prijevremeno napustio klub iz Istanbula. Potom je sezonu 2020/21 proveo u njemačkom Union Berlinu, ali ni taj klub nije odlučio otkupiti njegov ugovor. Spustio se pritom još stepenicu niže ne samo po renomeu kluba, nego i generalno. U Berlinu nije čak bio ni prvi izbor među vratnicama, uglavnom je grijao klupu. Upisao je cijele sezone samo pet nastupa, ali najgore je tek uslijedilo ove sezone. Ljetos nije uspio pronaći (adekvatan) angažman. Kao ni zimus. Možda je imao prevelika (financijska i sportska) očekivanja. Ostao je stoga u Liverpoolu s kojim ga ugovor veže do kraja sezone, ali ga i doslovno nema ni na mapi.

Cijele sezone je ostao bez ijednog nastupa u svim natjecanjima, čak nijednom nije bio niti na klupi. U Liverpoolu na njega odavno ne računaju. Prvi vratar je Becker, drugi Caoimhin Kelleher, treći Adrian. A od zime nije više niti u kadru jer je dolaskom Kolumbijca Luisa Diaza postao prekobrojan u kvoti stranaca, pa od tada nije niti prijavljen za nastupe u Premiershipu. Dobio je zimus slobodne ruke da može otići od trenera Jürgena Kloppa, bez odštete, ali je ostao. A još jesenas je talijanskom novinaru Fabriziju Romanu istaknuo.

- Nakon svega što se dogodilo 2018., prvi put kada sam se vratio na Anfield navijači su mi priredili ovacije i skandirali su moje ime. Bilo je lijepo to vidjeti. Na internetu uvijek ima budala, ali pravi navijači Liverpoola su uvijek iza tebe.

Kraj Kari(jer)usa? Ili prigoda za neki novi početak vratara koji će za mjesec i pol dana napuniti 29 godina što su za njegovu profesiju ponajbolje godine? Za novi start zaboravljenog antijunaka baš od nule.

Gdje je nestao čovjek...? Finale Lige prvaka Real Madrid – Liverpool u svibnju 2018. godine u Kijevu bila je posljednja utakmica na kojoj je čuvar mreže kluba s Anfielda bio Loris Karius. Poklopilo se da će finale Lige prvaka Real – Liverpool 28. svibnja na Stade de Franceu biti i posljednja utakmica Kariusa kao vratara Liverpoola. Barem na papiru, pod ugovorom. Makar će biti blizu nastupu među vratnicama u pariškom predgrađu St. Denis valjda jednako kao i potpisnik ovih redaka. Dapače, čini se da je jedina prednost njemačkog vratara u toj „utrci” što je pod ugovorom s Liverpoolom. Vjerovali ili ne – još uvijek jest. Ali broji zadnje dane, broji sitno.

Gotovo točno četiri godine nakon što je bio ključni protagonist poraza Liverpoola u finalu LP-a od kraljevskog klu...
