Francuski nogometaš Karim Benzema oprostio se u utorak od Real Madrida, kluba u kojem je osvojio rekordnih 25 trofeja tijekom 14 godina, na službenoj konferenciji za medije gdje je rekao da je htio produžiti ugovor, ali mu je stigla prilika iz Saudijske Arabije koju je prihvatio u dogovoru s obitelji.

- San mi je bio potpisati za Real Madrid i ostati ovdje, no došla je druga prilika. Odluku sam donio u dogovoru s obitelji - izjavio je 35-godišnji Benzema u sportskom kampu Real Madrida gdje je bio u pratnji braće i oca.

Benzema je potpisao ugovor sa saudijskim Al-Ittihadom, čije ime nije spomenuo na oproštaju, no nije rekao zašto je odlučio otići ondje.

- Real Madrid je najbolji klub na svijetu, no smatram da je sada trenutak za otići i početi novu priču - rekao je Benzema koji bi tako iduće sezone trebao zaigrati u ligi gdje se nalazi nekadašnji najbolji Realov strijelac Cristiano Ronaldo.

Španjolski novinari smatraju da je presudan bio veliki novac ponuđen iz Saudijske Arabije, ali i to što je musliman pa će biti blizu tamošnjem svetištu u Meki. Benzema, porijeklom Alžirac, trebao bi se brzo prilagoditi na život i kulturu Saudijske Arabije. On je jedan od nogometnih idola u arapskim zemljama gdje ljudi masovno putem televizije i mobitela prate utakmice Real Madrida.

Organiziranom oproštaju nazočili su budući kapetani momčadi Nacho Fernandez i Luka Modrić, dvojac koji će od Benzeme naslijediti kapetansku vrpcu te Lucas Vazquez i vratar Thibaut Courtois.

Događaj je otvorio govorom klupski predsjednik Florentino Perez koji je pozdravljajući okupljene zabunom rekao "Luka Dončić", spomenuvši bivšeg Realovog košarkaša, no odmah se ispravio i rekao "Luka Modrić". Kapetan hrvatske reprezentacije se nasmijao, baš kao i ofenzivni igrač Vazquez koji se u tom trenutku okrenuo prema Modriću.

- Prošlu nedjelju vidio sam ogromnu tugu, ne samo navijača Real Madrida, nego i drugih ljubitelja nogometa - rekao je Perez.

- Pretvorio si se u jednog od najboljih igrača Reala svih vremena. Bili smo sretni što smo te imali 14 godina jer smo vidjeli nevjerojatne stvari koje si radio ovdje. Dragi kapetane svi smo ponosni na tebe - dodao je.

Perez je rekao da je Benzema, peti igrač po broju nastupa u 121 godina dugoj povijesti kluba, "uspio pobuditi emocije kod svih koji vole nogomet".

Tijekom događaja novinarima nisu bila dopuštena pitanja pa ostaju nepoznati detalji zašto je Benzema, koji je imao ugovor do 30.lipnja, odbio ideju o produženju ugovora. Također ostaje nepoznato koga će trener Carlo Ancelotti, koji se također nalazio u publici, držati iduće sezone u vrhu napada.

Španjolski mediji nagađaju da će Perez i klupski direktor Jose Angel Sanchez pokušati dovesti kapetana engleske reprezentacije Harrya Kanea iz Tottenhama jer profilom odgovora Benzemi i može po sezoni zabiti 30-ak golova. Sa stadiona Santiago Bernabeu odlaze iz napada i Marco Asensio, Mariano Diaz te Eden Hazard, pa će klub trebati dovesti još nekoga kao zamjenu.

Realovi brazilski mladi napadači Vincius Junior i Rodrygo Goes trebali bi iduće sezone biti još veći protagonisti. "Kraljevski klub" će iduće sezone ponovo pokušati osvojiti španjolsko prvenstvo, čiji je pehar završio u rukama Barcelone te Ligu prvaka u kojoj je ispao u polufinalu od Manchester Citija.

Francuski nogometaš Karim Benzema oprostio se u utorak od Real Madrida, kluba u kojem je osvojio rekordnih 25 trofeja tijekom 14 godina, na službenoj konferenciji za medije gdje je rekao da je htio produžiti ugovor, ali mu je stigla prilika iz Saudijske Arabije koju je prihvatio u dogovoru s obitelji.

- San mi je bio potpisati za Real Madrid i ostati ovdje, no došla je druga prilika. Odluku sam donio u dogovoru s obitelji - izjavio je 35-godišnji Benzema u sportskom kampu Real Madrida gdje je bio u pratnji braće i oca.

Benzema je potpisao ugovor sa saudijskim Al-Ittihadom, čije ime nije spomenuo na oproštaju, no nije rekao zašto je odlučio otići ondje.

- Real Madrid je najbolji klub na svijetu, no smatram da je sada trenutak za otići i početi novu priču - rekao je Benzema koji bi tako iduće sezone trebao zaigrati u ligi gdje se nalazi nekadašnji najbolji Realov strijelac Cristiano Ronaldo.

Španjolski novinari smatraju da je presudan bio veliki novac ponuđen iz Saudijske Arabije, ali i to što je musliman pa će biti blizu tamošnjem svetištu u Meki. Benzema, porijeklom Alžirac, trebao bi se brzo prilagoditi na život i kulturu Saudijske Arabije. On je jedan od nogometnih idola u arapskim zemljama gdje ljudi masovno putem televizije i mobitela prate utakmice Real Madrida.

Organiziranom oproštaju nazočili su budući kapetani momčadi Nacho Fernandez i Luka Modrić, dvojac koji će od Benzeme naslijediti kapetansku vrpcu te Lucas Vazquez i vratar Thibaut Courtois.

Događaj je otvorio govorom klupski predsjednik Florentino Perez koji je pozdravljajući okupljene zabunom rekao "Luka Dončić", spomenuvši bivšeg Realovog košarkaša, no odmah se ispravio i rekao "Luka Modrić". Kapetan hrvatske reprezentacije se nasmijao, baš kao i ofenzivni igrač Vazquez koji se u tom trenutku okrenuo prema Modriću.

- Prošlu nedjelju vidio sam ogromnu tugu, ne samo navijača Real Madrida, nego i drugih ljubitelja nogometa - rekao je Perez.

- Pretvorio si se u jednog od najboljih igrača Reala svih vremena. Bili smo sretni što smo te imali 14 godina jer smo vidjeli nevjerojatne stvari koje si radio ovdje. Dragi kapetane svi smo ponosni na tebe - dodao je.

Perez je rekao da je Benzema, peti igrač po broju nastupa u 121 godina dugoj povijesti kluba, "uspio pobuditi emocije kod svih koji vole nogomet".

Tijekom događaja novinarima nisu bila dopuštena pitanja pa ostaju nepoznati detalji zašto je Benzema, koji je imao ugovor do 30.lipnja, odbio ideju o produženju ugovora. Također ostaje nepoznato koga će trener Carlo Ancelotti, koji se također nalazio u publici, držati iduće sezone u vrhu napada.

Španjolski mediji nagađaju da će Perez i klupski direktor Jose Angel Sanchez pokušati dovesti kapetana engleske reprezentacije Harrya Kanea iz Tottenhama jer profilom odgovora Benzemi i može po sezoni zabiti 30-ak golova. Sa stadiona Santiago Bernabeu odlaze iz napada i Marco Asensio, Mariano Diaz te Eden Hazard, pa će klub trebati dovesti još nekoga kao zamjenu.

Realovi brazilski mladi napadači Vincius Junior i Rodrygo Goes trebali bi iduće sezone biti još veći protagonisti. "Kraljevski klub" će iduće sezone ponovo pokušati osvojiti španjolsko prvenstvo, čiji je pehar završio u rukama Barcelone te Ligu prvaka u kojoj je ispao u polufinalu od Manchester Citija.

Francuski nogometaš Karim Benzema oprostio se u utorak od Real Madrida, kluba u kojem je osvojio rekordnih 25 trofeja tijekom 14 godina, na službenoj konferenciji za medije gdje je rekao da je htio produžiti ugovor, ali mu je stigla prilika iz Saudijske Arabije koju je prihvatio u dogovoru s obitelji.

- San mi je bio potpisati za Real Madrid i ostati ovdje, no došla je druga prilika. Odluku sam donio u dogovoru s obitelji - izjavio je 35-godišnji Benzema u sportskom kampu Real Madrida gdje je bio u pratnji braće i oca.

Benzema je potpisao ugovor sa saudijskim Al-Ittihadom, čije ime nije spomenuo na oproštaju, no nije rekao zašto je odlučio otići ondje.

- Real Madrid je najbolji klub na svijetu, no smatram da je sada trenutak za otići i početi novu priču - rekao je Benzema koji bi tako iduće sezone trebao zaigrati u ligi gdje se nalazi nekadašnji najbolji Realov strijelac Cristiano Ronaldo.

Španjolski novinari smatraju da je presudan bio veliki novac ponuđen iz Saudijske Arabije, ali i to što je musliman pa će biti blizu tamošnjem svetištu u Meki. Benzema, porijeklom Alžirac, trebao bi se brzo prilagoditi na život i kulturu Saudijske Arabije. On je jedan od nogometnih idola u arapskim zemljama gdje ljudi masovno putem televizije i mobitela prate utakmice Real Madrida.

Organiziranom oproštaju nazočili su budući kapetani momčadi Nacho Fernandez i Luka Modrić, dvojac koji će od Benzeme naslijediti kapetansku vrpcu te Lucas Vazquez i vratar Thibaut Courtois.
