Ne tako davno, tamo u proljeće 2012. godine, Mosor je bio stabilan drugoligaš. Sezonu je završio kao treći sa samo pet bodova manje od prvaka Dugopolja koji je ipak odustao od ulaska u viši rang.
Šest godina kasnije u Žrnovnici više nema seniorskog nogometa! Mnogi su ostali zapanjeni, neki misle da će se klub ugasiti, no prvi čovjek Mosora Vinko Barbarić tvrdi kako se to neće dogoditi.
Godine 2013. Mosor je ispao u Treću ligu, a 2016. u Četvrtu, što je samo po sebi bila senzacija i pokazatelj da nešto u Žrnovnici nije u redu. Proljetos su jedva izborili ostanak i sada nas je, eto, dočekala vijest da Mosor zamrzava seniorski pogon.
Godinama se Mosor mučio, zbog čega drugog nego zbog novca. Financijska su sredstva postajala sve oskudnija. Neuspješno je klub tražio partnere, mogao je to biti Hajduk, možda će i biti, ali za sada ništa od toga. Nekako je prirodno da to bude Hajduk, no o tom potom. Nisu u Mosoru isključivi, otvoreni su za suradnju sa svima.
Usprkos problemima, u Mosoru su jedno vrijeme nastavili gurati nadajući se boljim danima, no oni nisu došli i shvatili su da više nema smisla. Napravili su rez, kažu da nikome ništa nisu dužni.
Pohvalno.
Bolje i to nego da su ušli u nekakva zaduživanja, eventualno dobili kratkoročni uspjeh, ali opteretili klub za buduće godine. Teško im je pala ova odluka, ali druge očito nisu imali.
Poručuju kako je ovo samo privremena mjera. Nadajmo se da će stvarno i biti tako jer jaki Mosor potreban je nogometnoj Dalmaciji. I ne samo Mosor, već i klubovi iz nekih drugih sredina poput Vala koji je također u problemima i jedva sastavlja momčad za Četvrtu ligu.
U svakom zlu neko dobro. Prilika je ovo Mosoru da krene od nule, na zdravim temeljima. Dobro je što se u klubu okreću radu s mladima jer je to osnova svega. Domaći kadar mora biti baza buduće seniorske momčadi, a igra prepoznatljiva i atraktivna kako bi se gledatelji ponovno privukli na tribine.
Tako će biti lakše i zapeti za oko potencijalnim partnerima jer bez toga očito ne ide. No rad s mladima je ključ svega. Bez toga dugoročno nema sreće.
Ni Mosor, ni bilo koji drugi klub u Dalmaciji.

Ne tako davno, tamo u proljeće 2012. godine, Mosor je bio stabilan drugoligaš. Sezonu je završio kao treći sa samo pet bodova manje od prvaka Dugopolja koji je ipak odustao od ulaska u viši rang.
Šest godina kasnije u Žrnovnici više nema seniorskog nogometa! Mnogi su ostali zapanjeni, neki misle da će se klub ugasiti, no prvi čovjek Mosora Vinko Barbarić tvrdi kako se to neće dogoditi.
Godine 2013. Mosor je ispao u Treću ligu, a 2016. u Četvrtu, što je samo po sebi bila senzacija i pokazatelj da nešto u Žrnovnici nije u redu. Proljetos su jedva izborili ostanak i sada nas je, eto, dočekala vijest da Mosor zamrzava seniorski pogon.
Godinama se Mosor mučio, zbog čega drugog nego zbog novca. Financijska su sredstva postajala sve oskudnija. Neuspješno je klub tražio partnere, mogao je to biti Hajduk, možda će i biti, ali za sada ništa od toga. Nekako je prirodno da to bude Hajduk, no o tom potom. Nisu u Mosoru isključivi, otvoreni su za suradnju sa svima.
Usprkos problemima, u Mosoru su jedno vrijeme nastavili gurati nadajući se boljim danima, no oni nisu došli i shvatili su da više nema smisla. Napravili su rez, kažu da nikome ništa nisu dužni.
Pohvalno.
Bolje i to nego da su ušli u nekakva zaduživanja, eventualno dobili kratkoročni uspjeh, ali opteretili klub za buduće godine. Teško im je pala ova odluka, ali druge očito nisu imali.
Poručuju kako je ovo samo privremena mjera. Nadajmo se da će stvarno i biti tako jer jaki Mosor potreban je nogometnoj Dalmaciji. I ne samo Mosor, već i klubovi iz nekih drugih sredina poput Vala koji je također u problemima i jedva sastavlja momčad za Četvrtu ligu.
U svakom zlu neko dobro. Prilika je ovo Mosoru da krene od nule, na zdravim temeljima. Dobro je što se u klubu okreću radu s mladima jer je to osnova svega. Domaći kadar mora biti baza buduće seniorske momčadi, a igra prepoznatljiva i atraktivna kako bi se gledatelji ponovno privukli na tribine.
Tako će biti lakše i zapeti za oko potencijalnim partnerima jer bez toga očito ne ide. No rad s mladima je ključ svega. Bez toga dugoročno nema sreće.
Ni Mosor, ni bilo koji drugi klub u Dalmaciji.
