Američki plivač Caeleb Dressel osvojio je svoje treće zlato na Igrama u Tokiju, a drugo pojedinačno, pobjedom u utrci na 100m leptir u kojoj je postavio i novi svjetski rekord (49.45 sekundi), a do zlata je u vremenu novog svjetskog rekorda stigla i 'mix' štafeta Velike Britanije na 4x100m mješovito. 

Pretposljednjeg dana plivačkih natjecanja svakako je najkvalitetnija bila utrka plivača na 100m leptir u kojoj smo vidjeli novi svjetski i europski rekord u borbi 24-godišnjeg Caeleba Dressela i 21-godišnjeg Mađara Kristofa Milaka. Olimpijski pobjednik na dvostruko dužoj dionici ovim načinom plivanja sjajno se nosio sa svjetskim rekorderom, ali ga nije uspio pobijediti. No, natjerao je Dressela da za pet stotinki popravi svoj najbolji rezultat svih vremena.

Milak je s novim europskim rekordom (49.68) osvojio srebro, a bronca je pripala 20-godišnjem Švicarcu Noeu Pontiju.

Britanska 'mix' štafeta osvojila je prvo zlato u ovoj novoj olimpijskoj disciplini, a učinila je to sa stilom postavši prvom koja je svjetski rekord spustila ispod 3:38 minuta (3:37.58). Pobjedničku štafetu su činili plivačice Kathleen Dawson (leđno) i Anna Hopkin (slobodno) te plivači Adam Peaty (prsno) i James Guy (leptir).

Do srebra je stigla kineska štafeta (3:38.86) u kojoj su prve dvije dionice (leđno i prsno) plivali muškarci Jiayu Xu i Zibei Yan, a druge dvije (leptir i slobodno) plivačice Yufei Zhang i Junxuan Yang, a broncu je osvojila australska štafeta (3:38.95) u sastavu Kaylee McKewon, Izaac Stubblety-Cook, Matthew Temple i Emma McKeon.

U trećem međusobnom obračunu u pojedinačnim disciplinama Amerikanka Kathleen Ledecky konačno je uspjela pobijediti australku Ariarne Titmus i obraniti zlato na 800m slobodno osvojeno prije pet godina u Rio de Janeiru. Ledecky je do svog drugog pojedinačnog zlata na ovim Igrama, nakon trijumfa na 1500m, osvojila s vremenom 8:12.57 minuta, a Titmus je nakon zlata na 200 i 400m osvojila srebro na 800m s novim rekordom Oceanije (8:13.83). Broncu je osvojila Talijanka Simona Quadarella (8:18.35).

Australka Kaylee McKeown je zlatu sa 100m leđno dodala naslov olimpijske pobjednice i na dvostruko dužoj dionici s vremenom 2:04.68 minuta. Kanađanka Kylie Masse je osvojila srebrnu medalju (2:05.42), a i bronca odlazi u Australiju zahvaljujući Emily Seebohm (2:06.17).

Američki plivač Caeleb Dressel osvojio je svoje treće zlato na Igrama u Tokiju, a drugo pojedinačno, pobjedom u utrci na 100m leptir u kojoj je postavio i novi svjetski rekord (49.45 sekundi), a do zlata je u vremenu novog svjetskog rekorda stigla i 'mix' štafeta Velike Britanije na 4x100m mješovito. 

Pretposljednjeg dana plivačkih natjecanja svakako je najkvalitetnija bila utrka plivača na 100m leptir u kojoj smo vidjeli novi svjetski i europski rekord u borbi 24-godišnjeg Caeleba Dressela i 21-godišnjeg Mađara Kristofa Milaka. Olimpijski pobjednik na dvostruko dužoj dionici ovim načinom plivanja sjajno se nosio sa svjetskim rekorderom, ali ga nije uspio pobijediti. No, natjerao je Dressela da za pet stotinki popravi svoj najbolji rezultat svih vremena.

Milak je s novim europskim rekordom (49.68) osvojio srebro, a bronca je pripala 20-godišnjem Švicarcu Noeu Pontiju.

Britanska 'mix' štafeta osvojila je prvo zlato u ovoj novoj olimpijskoj disciplini, a učinila je to sa stilom postavši prvom koja je svjetski rekord spustila ispod 3:38 minuta (3:37.58). Pobjedničku štafetu su činili plivačice Kathleen Dawson (leđno) i Anna Hopkin (slobodno) te plivači Adam Peaty (prsno) i James Guy (leptir).

Do srebra je stigla kineska štafeta (3:38.86) u kojoj su prve dvije dionice (leđno i prsno) plivali muškarci Jiayu Xu i Zibei Yan, a druge dvije (leptir i slobodno) plivačice Yufei Zhang i Junxuan Yang, a broncu je osvojila australska štafeta (3:38.95) u sastavu Kaylee McKewon, Izaac Stubblety-Cook, Matthew Temple i Emma McKeon.

U trećem međusobnom obračunu u pojedinačnim disciplinama Amerikanka Kathleen Ledecky konačno je uspjela pobijediti australku Ariarne Titmus i obraniti zlato na 800m slobodno osvojeno prije pet godina u Rio de Janeiru. Ledecky je do svog drugog pojedinačnog zlata na ovim Igrama, nakon trijumfa na 1500m, osvojila s vremenom 8:12.57 minuta, a Titmus je nakon zlata na 200 i 400m osvojila srebro na 800m s novim rekordom Oceanije (8:13.83). Broncu je osvojila Talijanka Simona Quadarella (8:18.35).

Australka Kaylee McKeown je zlatu sa 100m leđno dodala naslov olimpijske pobjednice i na dvostruko dužoj dionici s vremenom 2:04.68 minuta. Kanađanka Kylie Masse je osvojila srebrnu medalju (2:05.42), a i bronca odlazi u Australiju zahvaljujući Emily Seebohm (2:06.17).

Plivanje: Caeleb Dressel i britanska ‘mix‘ štafeta postavili nove svjetske rekorde

Američki plivač Caeleb Dressel osvojio je svoje treće zlato na Igrama u Tokiju, a drugo pojedinačno, pobjedom u utrci na 100m leptir u kojoj je postavio i novi svjetski rekord (49.45 sekundi), a do zlata je u vremenu novog svjetskog rekorda stigla i 'mix' štafeta Velike Britanije na 4x100m mješovito. 

Pretposljednjeg dana plivačkih natjecanja svakako je najkvalitetnija bila utrka plivača na 100m leptir u kojoj smo vidjeli novi svjetski i europski rekord u borbi 24-godišnjeg Caeleba Dressela i 21-godišnjeg Mađara Kristofa Milaka. Olimpijski pobjednik na dvostruko dužoj dionici ovim načinom plivanja sjajno se nosio sa svjetskim rekorderom, ali ga nije uspio pobijediti. No, natjerao je Dressela da za pet stotinki popravi svoj najbolji rezultat svih vremena.
