Bilo je samo pitanje vremena kada će nakon Ruskinje Tatiane Gutsu javno progovoriti još netko od sportaša. Ovaj put je odgovornost preuzela zlatna olimpijska, gimnastičarka McKayla Maroney koja je objavila pismo u kojem je optužila bivšeg liječnika reprezentacije SAD-a Larryija Nassara za višestruko seksualno zlostavljanje.

Maroney je objavila da je imala samo 13 godina kada joj je Nassar kazao da se nalazi na "specijalnom medicinskom tretmanu, koje provodi na ostalim pacijentima preko trideset godina". Međutim jedino čega se Maroney nakon tih tretmana i nesvjestica sjećala je osjećaj mučnina.

- Čini mi se da me taj čovjek drogirao i zlostavljao kada je god imao priliku, posljednji put prije nego smo u Londonu 2012. godine osvojile olimpijsko zlato.

Inače dr. Nassar je i prije ovog svjedočenja otkriven kao seksuksalni predator koji je prema istrazi na sličan način drogirao i silovao najmanje 140 žena, trenutno mu jer suđenje pri kraju i kako stvari stoje dobit će dugoročnu zatvorsku kaznu.

Ogorčena, ali na gimnastički savez je i reprezentativka Aly Raisman kojoj nikako nije jasno kako je takva osoba gotovo trideset godina mogla biti liječnik u jednom sportu.

- Ljudi ne mogu shvatiti kako se on mogao brinuti o sportašima toliko dugo i kako nitko nije primijetio što se zbiva. Posljednice koje su ostale od takve traume kod djevojčica i žena su duboke, one trebaju ozbiljnu terapiju i pomoć kako bi se vratile u život - istakla je Raisman.

McKayla Maroney bila je članice Fierce Five teama, u svom je pismu istakla kako se u gimnastiku zaljubila sa osam godina dok je gledala Igre u Pekingu.

- Gledajući izvana moje zlato je fantastična priča. Uspjela sam u svojim snovima, ali sam platila preskupu cijenu – napisala je Maroney.

Bilo je samo pitanje vremena kada će nakon Ruskinje Tatiane Gutsu javno progovoriti još netko od sportaša. Ovaj put je odgovornost preuzela zlatna olimpijska, gimnastičarka McKayla Maroney koja je objavila pismo u kojem je optužila bivšeg liječnika reprezentacije SAD-a Larryija Nassara za višestruko seksualno zlostavljanje.

Maroney je objavila da je imala samo 13 godina kada joj je Nassar kazao da se nalazi na "specijalnom medicinskom tretmanu, koje provodi na ostalim pacijentima preko trideset godina". Međutim jedino čega se Maroney nakon tih tretmana i nesvjestica sjećala je osjećaj mučnina.

- Čini mi se da me taj čovjek drogirao i zlostavljao kada je god imao priliku, posljednji put prije nego smo u Londonu 2012. godine osvojile olimpijsko zlato.

Inače dr. Nassar je i prije ovog svjedočenja otkriven kao seksuksalni predator koji je prema istrazi na sličan način drogirao i silovao najmanje 140 žena, trenutno mu jer suđenje pri kraju i kako stvari stoje dobit će dugoročnu zatvorsku kaznu.

Ogorčena, ali na gimnastički savez je i reprezentativka Aly Raisman kojoj nikako nije jasno kako je takva osoba gotovo trideset godina mogla biti liječnik u jednom sportu.

- Ljudi ne mogu shvatiti kako se on mogao brinuti o sportašima toliko dugo i kako nitko nije primijetio što se zbiva. Posljednice koje su ostale od takve traume kod djevojčica i žena su duboke, one trebaju ozbiljnu terapiju i pomoć kako bi se vratile u život - istakla je Raisman.

McKayla Maroney bila je članice Fierce Five teama, u svom je pismu istakla kako se u gimnastiku zaljubila sa osam godina dok je gledala Igre u Pekingu.

- Gledajući izvana moje zlato je fantastična priča. Uspjela sam u svojim snovima, ali sam platila preskupu cijenu – napisala je Maroney.
