Hrvatska rekorderka u bacanju kladiva Ivana Brkljačić bila je primorana otkazati nastup u Padovi 31. kolovoza, jer su organizatori mitinga iz programa izbacili njezinu disciplinu. Stoga će hrvatska rekorderka do kraja sezone nastupiti još samo na zagrebačkom Grand Prix mitingu 9. rujna (popularnom Hanžekovićevom memorijalu) i Svjetskom atletskom finalu u Stuttgartu 13. rujna.

"Ponovno sam bolesna, imam visoku temperaturu i bez treninga sam već tjedan dana. Nakon Olimpijskih igara teško je skupiti snage i nastaviti sezonu. Međutim, očekuje me Hanžek gdje se moram pokazati pred domaćom publikom i finale u Stuttgartu gdje imam priliku barem donekle popraviti katastrofu iz Pekinga", kazala je Ivana Brkljačić.

"Trenutno mi je teško uopće razmišljati o Pekingu, ali znam da dugujem neko objašnjenje što se to dogodilo u kvalifikacijama. Isto tako znam da sam mnoge razočarala, ali sebe sam najviše i nema te kritike koja može biti gora od one koju sama sebi uputim.

Opravdanja nema, to je jedino u što sam sigurna. Sezona je bila teška, kasno sam počela trenirati, bila sam nestabilna na svim natjecanjima. Često sam bila ozlijeđena i bolesna, ali opet ponavljam da ne postoji ništa što može opravdati tih mojih 68 metara. Osjećala sam se odlično, nisam imala tremu čak ni u trećem hicu nakon što je drugi završio u mreži, bila sam hrabra i odlučna, ali jednostavno nije išlo.

Treći je hitac bio prelagan, precijenila sam svoje sposobnosti, a nisam se usudila jako baciti da ne pogodim ogradu", rekla je Brkljačić o svom nastupu na OI u Pekingu.

Ističe da se nakon Pekinga nije zatvorila u sobu i danima plakala, već je podignula glavu i krenula dalje.

"Znam da sam dala sve od sebe, da sam se puno žrtvovala i trudila, te da će se kad tad sve to vratiti. Ako ne u sportu, onda negdje drugdje, u to sam sigurna. Trud se uvijek isplati", kazala je hrvatska atletičarka.

Hrvatska rekorderka u bacanju kladiva Ivana Brkljačić bila je primorana otkazati nastup u Padovi 31. kolovoza, jer su organizatori mitinga iz programa izbacili njezinu disciplinu. Stoga će hrvatska rekorderka do kraja sezone nastupiti još samo na zagrebačkom Grand Prix mitingu 9. rujna (popularnom Hanžekovićevom memorijalu) i Svjetskom atletskom finalu u Stuttgartu 13. rujna.

"Ponovno sam bolesna, imam visoku temperaturu i bez treninga sam već tjedan dana. Nakon Olimpijskih igara teško je skupiti snage i nastaviti sezonu. Međutim, očekuje me Hanžek gdje se moram pokazati pred domaćom publikom i finale u Stuttgartu gdje imam priliku barem donekle popraviti katastrofu iz Pekinga", kazala je Ivana Brkljačić.

"Trenutno mi je teško uopće razmišljati o Pekingu, ali znam da dugujem neko objašnjenje što se to dogodilo u kvalifikacijama. Isto tako znam da sam mnoge razočarala, ali sebe sam najviše i nema te kritike koja može biti gora od one koju sama sebi uputim.

Opravdanja nema, to je jedino u što sam sigurna. Sezona je bila teška, kasno sam počela trenirati, bila sam nestabilna na svim natjecanjima. Često sam bila ozlijeđena i bolesna, ali opet ponavljam da ne postoji ništa što može opravdati tih mojih 68 metara. Osjećala sam se odlično, nisam imala tremu čak ni u trećem hicu nakon što je drugi završio u mreži, bila sam hrabra i odlučna, ali jednostavno nije išlo.

Treći je hitac bio prelagan, precijenila sam svoje sposobnosti, a nisam se usudila jako baciti da ne pogodim ogradu", rekla je Brkljačić o svom nastupu na OI u Pekingu.

Ističe da se nakon Pekinga nije zatvorila u sobu i danima plakala, već je podignula glavu i krenula dalje.

"Znam da sam dala sve od sebe, da sam se puno žrtvovala i trudila, te da će se kad tad sve to vratiti. Ako ne u sportu, onda negdje drugdje, u to sam sigurna. Trud se uvijek isplati", kazala je hrvatska atletičarka.
