Vaterpolski sudac Marko Matijević u jednom danu je postao poznat u regiji. Za sve je kriva snimka, koja se proširila internetom, a koja je nastala u subotu u sportskom centru Slana bara u Novom Sadu.
Tamo ga je, naime, pred kraj utakmice Vojvodine i Crvene zvezde, u 11. kolu Triglav regionalne vaterpolske lige, navijač domaće momčadi - gurnuo u bazen.
S njime smo razgovarali nakon što se vratio u rodni Zagreb.
Kako se uopće moglo dogoditi da navijač dođe u situaciju tako nešto napraviti?
- Tamo su tribine blizu ruba plivališta, udaljene su samo dva-tri metra, s time da nema ograde. Zbog toga, ako netko od gledatelja zakasni na utakmicu može slobodno prošetati i proći iza leđa suca dok dođe do svog mjesta. Tako se taj čovjek, kako su mi ispričali, dignuo s tribine kao da će krenuti prema izlazu. I dok je prolazio iza mene, gurnuo me je u bazen – priča nam Matijević.
- Kada sam se našao u bazenu, prvo sam ostao malo začuđen - kroz smijeh će.
Dodaje da ga je događaj uistinu iznenadio.
- Tako nešto nisam mogao očekivati, jer se takve stvari ne događaju na tako ozbiljnoj razini natjecanja kao što je regionalna liga koju se po rangu natjecanja može usporediti s prvom hrvatskom ligom ili, u davna vremena, bivšom jugoslavenskom – kaže nam.
Odmah je sam izišao iz bazena, a Kolja Lazor, direktor Vojvodine, pružio mu je ruku.
- Rekao mi je da se ništa ne brinem, da je sve u redu – priča i nastavlja:
- Kad sam izašao iz bazena, pokušao sam što prije početi normalno razmišljati, donijeti ispravnu odluku, a ona je bila da se utakmica prekine. Zatim se uključila srpska policija, za koju ističe da je bila profesionalna. Napravili su zapisnik radi prijave protiv počinitelja kojeg su na izlazu zaustavili zaštitari i zadržali ga.
- Dok je policija uzimala iskaze, smjestila ga je u jednu sobu, a mene u drugu. Tako tog čovjeka više nisam vidio i ne znam zašto je to učinio. No, siguran je da razlog tog ponašanja navijača Vojvodine nije bio to što je sudac - Hrvat.
- S obzirom na to da je Vojvodina samo dvije sekunde prije kraja utakmice primila gol kojim je Zvezda izjednačila na 7:7, vjerojatno je da me je gurnuo u afektu jer je bio ljut i iznerviran. Gurnuo me je u bazen jer sam mu bio prvi na putu. Što su u klubu domaćinu rekli na događaj, s obzirom na to da je to napravio njihov navijač.
Jesu li se ispričali?
- Cijelo vrijeme su se ispričavali. Nije mi to bio prvi put da sam u Novom Sadu. Praktično svake godine tamo sudim jednu do dvije utakmice i uvijek su maksimalno korektni, nikad nije bilo provokacija, niti potrebe za osiguranjem ili pratnjom. Uvijek sami dođemo do sportskog centra, s automobilom hrvatskih registarskih oznaka. Tamo su svi ostali u čudu zbog ovog događaja, kako ljudi s tribina tako i oni iz svijeta vaterpola.

Vaterpolski sudac Marko Matijević u jednom danu je postao poznat u regiji. Za sve je kriva snimka, koja se proširila internetom, a koja je nastala u subotu u sportskom centru Slana bara u Novom Sadu.
Tamo ga je, naime, pred kraj utakmice Vojvodine i Crvene zvezde, u 11. kolu Triglav regionalne vaterpolske lige, navijač domaće momčadi - gurnuo u bazen.
S njime smo razgovarali nakon što se vratio u rodni Zagreb.
Kako se uopće moglo dogoditi da navijač dođe u situaciju tako nešto napraviti?
- Tamo su tribine blizu ruba plivališta, udaljene su samo dva-tri metra, s time da nema ograde. Zbog toga, ako netko od gledatelja zakasni na utakmicu može slobodno prošetati i proći iza leđa suca dok dođe do svog mjesta. Tako se taj čovjek, kako su mi ispričali, dignuo s tribine kao da će krenuti prema izlazu. I dok je prolazio iza mene, gurnuo me je u bazen – priča nam Matijević.
- Kada sam se našao u bazenu, prvo sam ostao malo začuđen - kroz smijeh će.
Dodaje da ga je događaj uistinu iznenadio.
- Tako nešto nisam mogao očekivati, jer se takve stvari ne događaju na tako ozbiljnoj razini natjecanja kao što je regionalna liga koju se po rangu natjecanja može usporediti s prvom hrvatskom ligom ili, u davna vremena, bivšom jugoslavenskom – kaže nam.
Odmah je sam izišao iz bazena, a Kolja Lazor, direktor Vojvodine, pružio mu je ruku.
- Rekao mi je da se ništa ne brinem, da je sve u redu – priča i nastavlja:
- Kad sam izašao iz bazena, pokušao sam što prije početi normalno razmišljati, donijeti ispravnu odluku, a ona je bila da se utakmica prekine. Zatim se uključila srpska policija, za koju ističe da je bila profesionalna. Napravili su zapisnik radi prijave protiv počinitelja kojeg su na izlazu zaustavili zaštitari i zadržali ga.
- Dok je policija uzimala iskaze, smjestila ga je u jednu sobu, a mene u drugu. Tako tog čovjeka više nisam vidio i ne znam zašto je to učinio. No, siguran je da razlog tog ponašanja navijača Vojvodine nije bio to što je sudac - Hrvat.
- S obzirom na to da je Vojvodina samo dvije sekunde prije kraja utakmice primila gol kojim je Zvezda izjednačila na 7:7, vjerojatno je da me je gurnuo u afektu jer je bio ljut i iznerviran. Gurnuo me je u bazen jer sam mu bio prvi na putu. Što su u klubu domaćinu rekli na događaj, s obzirom na to da je to napravio njihov navijač.
Jesu li se ispričali?
- Cijelo vrijeme su se ispričavali. Nije mi to bio prvi put da sam u Novom Sadu. Praktično svake godine tamo sudim jednu do dvije utakmice i uvijek su maksimalno korektni, nikad nije bilo provokacija, niti potrebe za osiguranjem ili pratnjom. Uvijek sami dođemo do sportskog centra, s automobilom hrvatskih registarskih oznaka. Tamo su svi ostali u čudu zbog ovog događaja, kako ljudi s tribina tako i oni iz svijeta vaterpola.
