Jedna od najvećih spustaških utrka u Svjetskom skijaškom kupu, tradicionalni Trofej Lauberhorn u švicarskom Wengenu, ostat će natjecateljskom kalendaru, nakon što je Švicaski skijaški savez opozvao zahtjev upućen Međunarodnoj skijaškoj federaciji (FIS) za njegovo ukanjanje s popisa domaćina nakon sezone 2021./22.

Do obrata je došlo kad je financijsku pomoć Wengenu obećao hotelijer Joerg Moser. Lokalni poduzetnik je rekao da će sudjelovati u financijskoj konstrukciji sa 300.000 švicarskih franaka, što je oko 285.000 eura, a to predstavlja gotovo trećinu iznosa koju su tražili organizatori od Švicarskog skijaškog saveza. Organizatori natjecanja u Wengenu koje se svake godine održava krajem siječnja imali su posljednjih godina poteškoće sa zatvaranjem financijske konstrukcije pa su od saveza tražili veći dio od televizijskih i marketinških prava.

Švicarski skijaški savez se nada da će i vlada subvencionirati dio sredstava, čime bi se popunila praznina do iznosa od milijun franaka, koliko su tražili organizatori.

Švicarski mediji su prenijeli izjavu predsjednika Saveza Ursa Lehmanna koji je rekao da postoji želja za "osiguravanjem budućnosti za spektakularne utrke Trofeja Lauberhorn u jedinstvenom planinskom okolišu, ali ne pod svaku cijenu".

Jedna od najvećih spustaških utrka u Svjetskom skijaškom kupu, tradicionalni Trofej Lauberhorn u švicarskom Wengenu, ostat će natjecateljskom kalendaru, nakon što je Švicaski skijaški savez opozvao zahtjev upućen Međunarodnoj skijaškoj federaciji (FIS) za njegovo ukanjanje s popisa domaćina nakon sezone 2021./22.

Do obrata je došlo kad je financijsku pomoć Wengenu obećao hotelijer Joerg Moser. Lokalni poduzetnik je rekao da će sudjelovati u financijskoj konstrukciji sa 300.000 švicarskih franaka, što je oko 285.000 eura, a to predstavlja gotovo trećinu iznosa koju su tražili organizatori od Švicarskog skijaškog saveza. Organizatori natjecanja u Wengenu koje se svake godine održava krajem siječnja imali su posljednjih godina poteškoće sa zatvaranjem financijske konstrukcije pa su od saveza tražili veći dio od televizijskih i marketinških prava.

Švicarski skijaški savez se nada da će i vlada subvencionirati dio sredstava, čime bi se popunila praznina do iznosa od milijun franaka, koliko su tražili organizatori.

Švicarski mediji su prenijeli izjavu predsjednika Saveza Ursa Lehmanna koji je rekao da postoji želja za "osiguravanjem budućnosti za spektakularne utrke Trofeja Lauberhorn u jedinstvenom planinskom okolišu, ali ne pod svaku cijenu".
