Ivan Buljan, četrdeset godina poslije:
- Je li možete vjerovati, 40 godina... To vam je kao onaj film Gone with the wind. Prohujalo s vihorom...
Buljan, najbolji igrač Hamburgera?
- To zato jer je Hajduk stalno napadao, ja nabolji, kažete, a je li vi znate da ja faula nisam na toj utakmici napravio? A igrao sam, centralnog braniča, srednjeg stopera. Falio nam je Nogly.
Hoćete sugerirat kao da se niste do kraja trsili?
- Ma ni slučajno! Igrao sam najbolje što sam mogao, ali vrlo fer. Hajduk nas je stisnuo tu utakmicu, mi smo se provukli. Puno puta smo se vraćali pričom kako smo imali sreće. I Zebec i Keegan, Kevin s kojim sam bio jako blizak, svi smo mi skupa o tome puno govorili.
Nemate problem o tome pričati, ipak ste vi legenda Hajduka, a tu ste bili upečatljiv član Hamburgera?
- To je moja životna pegula, tako mi se namjestilo. Kako mi je samo bubnjalo u glavi kad sam istrčao prije početka, krcat Poljud, a ja na suprotnoj strani, neki su skandirali moje ime, Iko, Iko. Trebalo je skupit prsi. Ali... znate li što mi jednom prilikom rekao Zvone Boban, a ja sam s njim često igrao tenis?
Ne znamo.
- Volim igrat protiv tebe jer znam da nikome ni sekunde ne puštaš, ne popuštaš. Nikad ne bih pustio, nije sportski. U tih 90 minuta ja sam bio strogi profesionalac Hamburgera. Što bi netko htio da sam puštao?!
Pardon, kako ste to dobri sa Zvonom Bobanom?
- Njegov otac Marinko meni je bio kapetan u momčadi kod sam igrao za Mračaj iz Runovića i jako ga cijenim. Marinko je bio kum na krštenju mojoj ćeri Ivani i povezani smo.
I ne bi pustili niti malo, zeru?
- Ma, pokojnom ocu ne bih pustio! A Hajduk je i meni i otac i mati, od 1967. do 1976. kad sam u vojsku otišao. Nemojmo o tome pričat, nema smisla. Radije o ambijentu, o prvoj utakmici.
Ajmo.
- Dakle, bio je ždrijeb parova u Rimu i ja se mislim samo da ne bude Hajduk i kad tamo Hajduk. Šta sam pomislio? Ajme meni majko moja... Hajduk bi tamo gdje smo zajedno zapeli prije četiri godine u Eindhovenu, a i mi bismo da budemo prvaci Europe. Tu je i Zebec.
Zebec i Ivić se nisu mirisali?
- To je bilo rivalstvo, više od baluna, nije tu bilo ni mrvu ljubavi. Zebec kad je došao u Hajduk 1972. raselio je Ivićeve juniore kojekuda na posudbe, na kaljenje. Otad je počeo njihov rat.
Vi ste baš bili zebecovac?
- Ja sam „Zebru”, tako smo ga zvali, beskrajno poštovao. Još iz doba Hajduka. Bio je radnik, strog i pravedan.
Baš kao Nijemac, koji je njegov bio trenerski forte?
- Besprijekorna fizička pripremljenost. Treniralo se do povraćanja. Uskladio bi sastav, tražio je maksimalnu disciplinu. Dizao je vrijednost igrača gdje god je trenirao.
Prvu utakmicu niste igrali?
- Nisam, jer sam taman prebolio hepatitis B, ovu istu žuticu što je imao i Gudelj kasnije, ali meni je organizam stvorio antitijela, njemu nije. Pokušali su me osposobit za prvu, nastupio sam u Kaiserslauternu, ali sam osjetio nemoć. Čekali smo zato revanš.
U Hamburgu je Hajduk isto bio bolji, ali je zabila vaša momčad, faul Hrubescha na Pudaru, iskoristio je Reimann.
- Složio bih se. Ali nitko ne priznaje da je u revanšu Šuro isfintirao penal, ajde, molim vas, ha, ha, ha, pao je, sudac je svirao.
Nije bio penal za Hajduk?
- Pogledajte snimku na „you-tube”, pa sami recite. Mi smo o tome puno govorili u svlačionicu, Šuro se bacio, prevario suca, ali to ide u rok službe.
I onda je Primorac promašio penal.
- A nije se trebao ić vadit. Nešto ranije je pogriješio i Hrubesch mu je zabio. Ivić ga je prisilio na penal, riskirao je i izgubio.
Hajduk vas je nadigrao?
- Debelo. Mi nismo bili u formi nikako, jer je to bila izuzetna zima i nismo uopće normalno trenirali mjesec-dva. Nismo bili spremni i Hajduk nas je uhvatio na krivoj nozi. I još Hieronymus zabije gol, a to mu je bila skoro prva utakmica, balunom preko Rožića.
Bili ste bliži Zebecu nego Iviću i u doba zlatne generacije?
- Ma Ivan je više volio svoje juniore, nas koji nisu njegovi nije tako obožavao. Katalinić, Jurica (Jerković, op. a.), Holcer, Džoni, ja... Mi smo bili onako, viša sila, ha, ha, ha... Dobio nas je u dotu. Nije s nama mogao baš upravljat kako je htio. Boljat i Rožić i Miće (Jovanić, op. a.) nekako između. Frfa (Mužinić, op. a), Luka (Peruzović, op. a.), Mijač, Matković, Luketin, Žungul, Simunić, koje je on stvorio, oni su bili njegovi. Šuro (Šurjak, op. a.) je njegov, ali mu se malo otrga', pa je bio na obje strane. I s nama i s Ivićem. Ali, to su bile nijanse, zdušno smo mi sve zajednički gazili sedamdesetih.
I još da ste bili zajedno protiv Hamburgera?
- E da smo... Baš se mislim, moja tri kluba, Hajduk, Hamburger, Cosmos... Zameo ih vjetar...

Ivan Buljan, četrdeset godina poslije:
- Je li možete vjerovati, 40 godina... To vam je kao onaj film Gone with the wind. Prohujalo s vihorom...
Buljan, najbolji igrač Hamburgera?
- To zato jer je Hajduk stalno napadao, ja nabolji, kažete, a je li vi znate da ja faula nisam na toj utakmici napravio? A igrao sam, centralnog braniča, srednjeg stopera. Falio nam je Nogly.
Hoćete sugerirat kao da se niste do kraja trsili?
- Ma ni slučajno! Igrao sam najbolje što sam mogao, ali vrlo fer. Hajduk nas je stisnuo tu utakmicu, mi smo se provukli. Puno puta smo se vraćali pričom kako smo imali sreće. I Zebec i Keegan, Kevin s kojim sam bio jako blizak, svi smo mi skupa o tome puno govorili.
Nemate problem o tome pričati, ipak ste vi legenda Hajduka, a tu ste bili upečatljiv član Hamburgera?
- To je moja životna pegula, tako mi se namjestilo. Kako mi je samo bubnjalo u glavi kad sam istrčao prije početka, krcat Poljud, a ja na suprotnoj strani, neki su skandirali moje ime, Iko, Iko. Trebalo je skupit prsi. Ali... znate li što mi jednom prilikom rekao Zvone Boban, a ja sam s njim često igrao tenis?
Ne znamo.
- Volim igrat protiv tebe jer znam da nikome ni sekunde ne puštaš, ne popuštaš. Nikad ne bih pustio, nije sportski. U tih 90 minuta ja sam bio strogi profesionalac Hamburgera. Što bi netko htio da sam puštao?!
Pardon, kako ste to dobri sa Zvonom Bobanom?
- Njegov otac Marinko meni je bio kapetan u momčadi kod sam igrao za Mračaj iz Runovića i jako ga cijenim. Marinko je bio kum na krštenju mojoj ćeri Ivani i povezani smo.
I ne bi pustili niti malo, zeru?
- Ma, pokojnom ocu ne bih pustio! A Hajduk je i meni i otac i mati, od 1967. do 1976. kad sam u vojsku otišao. Nemojmo o tome pričat, nema smisla. Radije o ambijentu, o prvoj utakmici.
Ajmo.
- Dakle, bio je ždrijeb parova u Rimu i ja se mislim samo da ne bude Hajduk i kad tamo Hajduk. Šta sam pomislio? Ajme meni majko moja... Hajduk bi tamo gdje smo zajedno zapeli prije četiri godine u Eindhovenu, a i mi bismo da budemo prvaci Europe. Tu je i Zebec.
Zebec i Ivić se nisu mirisali?
- To je bilo rivalstvo, više od baluna, nije tu bilo ni mrvu ljubavi. Zebec kad je došao u Hajduk 1972. raselio je Ivićeve juniore kojekuda na posudbe, na kaljenje. Otad je počeo njihov rat.
Vi ste baš bili zebecovac?
- Ja sam „Zebru”, tako smo ga zvali, beskrajno poštovao. Još iz doba Hajduka. Bio je radnik, strog i pravedan.
Baš kao Nijemac, koji je njegov bio trenerski forte?
- Besprijekorna fizička pripremljenost. Treniralo se do povraćanja. Uskladio bi sastav, tražio je maksimalnu disciplinu. Dizao je vrijednost igrača gdje god je trenirao.
Prvu utakmicu niste igrali?
- Nisam, jer sam taman prebolio hepatitis B, ovu istu žuticu što je imao i Gudelj kasnije, ali meni je organizam stvorio antitijela, njemu nije. Pokušali su me osposobit za prvu, nastupio sam u Kaiserslauternu, ali sam osjetio nemoć. Čekali smo zato revanš.
U Hamburgu je Hajduk isto bio bolji, ali je zabila vaša momčad, faul Hrubescha na Pudaru, iskoristio je Reimann.
- Složio bih se. Ali nitko ne priznaje da je u revanšu Šuro isfintirao penal, ajde, molim vas, ha, ha, ha, pao je, sudac je svirao.
Nije bio penal za Hajduk?
- Pogledajte snimku na „you-tube”, pa sami recite. Mi smo o tome puno govorili u svlačionicu, Šuro se bacio, prevario suca, ali to ide u rok službe.
I onda je Primorac promašio penal.
- A nije se trebao ić vadit. Nešto ranije je pogriješio i Hrubesch mu je zabio. Ivić ga je prisilio na penal, riskirao je i izgubio.
Hajduk vas je nadigrao?
- Debelo. Mi nismo bili u formi nikako, jer je to bila izuzetna zima i nismo uopće normalno trenirali mjesec-dva. Nismo bili spremni i Hajduk nas je uhvatio na krivoj nozi. I još Hieronymus zabije gol, a to mu je bila skoro prva utakmica, balunom preko Rožića.
Bili ste bliži Zebecu nego Iviću i u doba zlatne generacije?
- Ma Ivan je više volio svoje juniore, nas koji nisu njegovi nije tako obožavao. Katalinić, Jurica (Jerković, op. a.), Holcer, Džoni, ja... Mi smo bili onako, viša sila, ha, ha, ha... Dobio nas je u dotu. Nije s nama mogao baš upravljat kako je htio. Boljat i Rožić i Miće (Jovanić, op. a.) nekako između. Frfa (Mužinić, op. a), Luka (Peruzović, op. a.), Mijač, Matković, Luketin, Žungul, Simunić, koje je on stvorio, oni su bili njegovi. Šuro (Šurjak, op. a.) je njegov, ali mu se malo otrga', pa je bio na obje strane. I s nama i s Ivićem. Ali, to su bile nijanse, zdušno smo mi sve zajednički gazili sedamdesetih.
I još da ste bili zajedno protiv Hamburgera?
- E da smo... Baš se mislim, moja tri kluba, Hajduk, Hamburger, Cosmos... Zameo ih vjetar...
