U glavnom katarskom gradu Dohi, četvrtak je bio dosad sigurno, a možda i općenito, najzanimljiviji dan za Hrvate na seniorskom Svjetskom prvenstvu. Naime, u četvrtak su po rasporedu na tatami izašle djevojke u kategoriji do 70 kg. Hrvatskoj kategoriji, nazovimo je tako, jer riječ je o konkurenciji Barbare Matić i Lare Cvjetko, svjetske prvakinje i doprvakinje s prijašnjeg SP u Taškentu prošle godine, pišu Sportske novosti.

A Barbara... ona je i opet uspjela! Ne, nije obranila zlato iz Uzbekistana 2022. Nije ponovila uspjeh ni iz Budimpešte 2021. gdje je također bila zlatna, ali brončana medalja iz Dohe ima istinski osobit pečat. Naime, prije nepunih mjesec dana bio je dvojben uopće njezin nastup na Svjetskom prvenstvu poradi ozljede koljena.

Nisu puknuli ligamenti, srećom dakako jer tada ni ne bi bilo dvojbe, ali činjenica svejedno stoji da se Barbara nije na najoptimalniji način mogla pripremati za ovu svjetsku smotru. S druge strane, nije željela ni dignuti ruke, ne otići jer ipak se radi o svjetskom prvenstvu, pa onda još i nemalenom broju bodova za OI u Parizu. Barbara je u biti ovu Dohu odradila "na svježinu". Kada na takav način uspijete doći do polufinala, pa do borbe za broncu i na koncu izborite svoje mjesto na postolju, tada znači da ste čudesno kvalitetni, vrhunski. To je Barbara pokazala i dokazala (ako više treba ikome išta dokazivati) u glavnom gradu Katara.

Kao nositeljica, Barbara je bila slobodna 1. kolom da bi u 2. kolu očekivano svladala Aleksandru Samardžić iz BiH. No, treće je kolo je dalo naslutiti velike stvari. Naime, u 3. rundi je za suparnicu imala svoju "crnu mačku", sjajnu Nizozemku Kim Polling s kojom se susretala 6 puta i svih 6 puta bila poražena. Ne i sada, ne u Dohi! Pobjeda 1-0. U četvrtfinalu je "pala" i Britanka Katie-Jemime Yeats-Brown, 2-0. U polufinalu je Japanka Saki Niizoe bila bolja zahvaljujući jednom bacanju (wazari) 20 sekundi prije kraja borbe. U srazu za broncu Barbara Matić je svladala Elvismar Rodriguez, Venezuelanku koja je eliminirala ranije našu Laru Cvjetko, 1-0.

U Dohi međutim nismo čuli "Larinu pjesmu". Naime, Lara Cvjetko je nakon pobjede u 1. kolu nad Tajvankom Yu-Jung Liao 2-0, izgubila već u 2. kolu od Elvismar Rodriguez iz Venezuele, 2-0, te se brzo oprostila od Dohe.

- Prvu sam se borbu i dobro osjećala i radila. Pokušala sam raditi što manji pritisak na samu sebe. U drugoj sam borbi prerano pala na wazari. Znala sam da će me na to suparnica čekati i kontrirati - kasnije će Lara objektivno istaknuvši već u sljedećoj rečenici svoje razočaranje.

U glavnom katarskom gradu Dohi, četvrtak je bio dosad sigurno, a možda i općenito, najzanimljiviji dan za Hrvate na seniorskom Svjetskom prvenstvu. Naime, u četvrtak su po rasporedu na tatami izašle djevojke u kategoriji do 70 kg. Hrvatskoj kategoriji, nazovimo je tako, jer riječ je o konkurenciji Barbare Matić i Lare Cvjetko, svjetske prvakinje i doprvakinje s prijašnjeg SP u Taškentu prošle godine, pišu Sportske novosti.

A Barbara... ona je i opet uspjela! Ne, nije obranila zlato iz Uzbekistana 2022. Nije ponovila uspjeh ni iz Budimpešte 2021. gdje je također bila zlatna, ali brončana medalja iz Dohe ima istinski osobit pečat. Naime, prije nepunih mjesec dana bio je dvojben uopće njezin nastup na Svjetskom prvenstvu poradi ozljede koljena.

Nisu puknuli ligamenti, srećom dakako jer tada ni ne bi bilo dvojbe, ali činjenica svejedno stoji da se Barbara nije na najoptimalniji način mogla pripremati za ovu svjetsku smotru. S druge strane, nije željela ni dignuti ruke, ne otići jer ipak se radi o svjetskom prvenstvu, pa onda još i nemalenom broju bodova za OI u Parizu. Barbara je u biti ovu Dohu odradila "na svježinu". Kada na takav način uspijete doći do polufinala, pa do borbe za broncu i na koncu izborite svoje mjesto na postolju, tada znači da ste čudesno kvalitetni, vrhunski. To je Barbara pokazala i dokazala (ako više treba ikome išta dokazivati) u glavnom gradu Katara.

Kao nositeljica, Barbara je bila slobodna 1. kolom da bi u 2. kolu očekivano svladala Aleksandru Samardžić iz BiH. No, treće je kolo je dalo naslutiti velike stvari. Naime, u 3. rundi je za suparnicu imala svoju "crnu mačku", sjajnu Nizozemku Kim Polling s kojom se susretala 6 puta i svih 6 puta bila poražena. Ne i sada, ne u Dohi! Pobjeda 1-0. U četvrtfinalu je "pala" i Britanka Katie-Jemime Yeats-Brown, 2-0. U polufinalu je Japanka Saki Niizoe bila bolja zahvaljujući jednom bacanju (wazari) 20 sekundi prije kraja borbe. U srazu za broncu Barbara Matić je svladala Elvismar Rodriguez, Venezuelanku koja je eliminirala ranije našu Laru Cvjetko, 1-0.

U Dohi međutim nismo čuli "Larinu pjesmu". Naime, Lara Cvjetko je nakon pobjede u 1. kolu nad Tajvankom Yu-Jung Liao 2-0, izgubila već u 2. kolu od Elvismar Rodriguez iz Venezuele, 2-0, te se brzo oprostila od Dohe.

- Prvu sam se borbu i dobro osjećala i radila. Pokušala sam raditi što manji pritisak na samu sebe. U drugoj sam borbi prerano pala na wazari. Znala sam da će me na to suparnica čekati i kontrirati - kasnije će Lara objektivno istaknuvši već u sljedećoj rečenici svoje razočaranje.

Barbara Matić do nove medalje: Uzela broncu na Svjetskom kupu na kojem joj je nastup bio pod upitnikom

U glavnom katarskom gradu Dohi, četvrtak je bio dosad sigurno, a možda i općenito, najzanimljiviji dan za Hrvate na seniorskom Svjetskom prvenstvu. Naime, u četvrtak su po rasporedu na tatami izašle djevojke u kategoriji do 70 kg. Hrvatskoj kategoriji, nazovimo je tako, jer riječ je o konkurenciji Barbare Matić i Lare Cvjetko, svjetske prvakinje i doprvakinje s prijašnjeg SP u Taškentu prošle godine, pišu Sportske novosti.

A Barbara... ona je i opet uspjela! Ne, nije obranila zlato iz Uzbekistana 2022. Nije ponovila uspjeh ni iz Budimpešte 2021. gdje je također bila zlatna, ali brončana medalja iz Dohe ima istinski osobit pečat. Naime, prije nepunih mjesec dana bio je dvojben uopće njezin nastup na Svjetskom prvenstvu poradi ozljede koljena.

Nisu puknuli ligamenti, srećom dakako jer tada ni ne bi bilo dvojbe, ali činjenica svejedno stoji da se Barbara nije na najoptimalniji način mogla pripremati za ovu svjetsku smotru.
